We take great pride in our customer service. In this specific case, we proactively addressed all questions via email just moments after they were received. It seems that the comprehensive response led the customer to avoid further contact and instead leave this unwarrantedly aggressive feedback. “I've recently been exploring the Cobalt Profiles, having purchased the Basic Pack, Canon Digital Emulation pack, and the Fuji Film emulations pack. Nice to have all these options, greatly speeding up my color workflow. Note that there's also a Cobalt Colors which you can download for free once you have the basic pack, and for me I like that as a general default (better than the Adobe Color default). My most used for landscape photography (with my Sony A7RV) are the various Canon Digital Colors (always wanted these instead of my Sony Colors) and the Fuji Provia Film emulation. Each have their idiosyncracies (for instance the Canon Colors make all water too blue, and the Provia adds a magenta cast which is sometimes great but sometimes not desired), but they are are super useful starting point for most of my photos. Very happy so far, and trying very hard to resist buying more packs!”
“Apparently it only works with true raw files so if the camera produces cr2 or dng I don't understand how they establish the "baseline". If you convert it to Adobe raw it works. But to be honest as someone else mentioned they don't look much different than the adobe color files .”
We are sorry to see this situation unfold, but we did our best to explain to the customer that the files they provided for identifying the exact model of their camera (which carries a different designation for its intended market) were not raw files but compressed JPGs renamed as raw. Without authentic raw files, we cannot determine the exact profile needed. Unfortunately, our emails explaining this issue seem to have caused frustration, leading to this outcome. We cannot reach a solution if we are the only ones seeking it.

Having an ability to choose one that fully fits your needs makes a big impact. You could also say it saves postprocessing time as you start with already good base.”
“Bought the Cobalt Basic Pack for my Sony and Canon cameras, along with their CCD Fever.
The quality of the Basic Pack is excellent, compared to LR profiles there is more tonality in red / magenta hues and less clipping. Skin tones are also much more accurate. The other benefit is that now my Sony and Canon are starting from the same point of reference and dialling in to taste is the simplest it's ever been.
CCD Fever has profiles which are matched to other camera systems colour output and tonality beyond anything else on the market.
Cobalt Profiles are a no brainer for anyone looking to simplify their workflow.”
“Soon after I purchased a cobalt pack, the e-mail address I used started receiving an enormous volume of spam mail. I'm pretty sure they sell your e-mail address, and you will get a LOT of spam. The dng profiles themselves aren't bad, but I wish I had never bought them because I am now deluged with spam.”

“I've just been trying out the Cobalt Adobe/Basic DNG pack with two of their profiles: Cobalt Standard and Cobalt Colours. The profiles were very easy to install into Lightroom Classic and all worked well straight away. I like both Cobalt Standard and Cobalt Colours very much with the raw files from my Sony Alpha camera. Standard worked beautifully for some portraits and Colours worked well for outdoor scenes. I'm looking forward to exploring more profiles to help me obtain a consistent look across my cameras from different brands.”
We apologize for your experience. Our calibrated profiles are designed to enhance your editing by providing a wider gamut and greater accuracy. For general use, you may not notice a significant difference compared to standard profiles. However, if you are particularly attentive to skin tones or work with reproduction, you'll see a notable improvement

“First of all, thank you for developing those profiles. They truly offer the best representation of film. It's a significant improvement over standard Capture One profiles, streamlining the entire image editing process.
Looking ahead, I'd suggest expanding the range of options within each profile. Adding different strength variations would be beneficial, akin to the filter strength feature in Adobe Lightroom, enhancing flexibility and control.
Regarding pricing, I'm curious if there's a discount available for subsequent purchases. Is the 15% discount only applicable for multiple items bought together in a single transaction, or can it be applied to individual purchases as well?
