Joe is fantastic at teaching networking. He even draws some good pictures - wait until you see OSPF! If you want to learn this subject then there's no better place to go. His dedication to the subject is obvious by the amount of training and course material which he provides. What you will learn is theory as well as configuration - it's not just a paper exercise for memorising, it's for real world network administration. As Joe says you just have to Lab, Lab, Lab.

Hi Gary Many thanks for taking the time to write us a review. I get the feeling that i should have made a living drawing pictures :-) Yeap, LAB, LAB, LAB, until your fingers bleed and your hands cramp up!!, only kidding, Labbing is the key to understanding. When i learn a new technology i tend to hit the command line first fumble around become familiar with the CLI then when i have what i need working i then study the material. Without any context it is very difficult to learn and appreciate the protocols. Anyway, MPLS on Wednesday on the On-line session. Kind regards Joe

Brilliant learning atmosphere!! For my resettlement from the Army, I had researched many institutes for my CCNA course and found that Commsupport was the closest one to my hometown. They offered very competitive prices so even with my ELC credits and my resettlement fund, I ended up paying very little. Commsupport were very helpful from the start. Anthony was very informative regarding what to expect and how prepared you should be when you attend. He was very comfortable in helping me understand the process for using my ELC credits, providing me with information about the course location and offering different choices for where to stay closer to the course location. Joe is very easy going and uses easy to understand teaching methods. He keeps the atmosphere light in the classroom and has a wealth of knowledge in what he teaches. The setup of the classroom is excellent because every student has their own equipment to work through the labs which means you learn at your own pace and you have the opportunity to continue to learn at home after the end of the day because Joe has allowed remote access to his equipment. Even after you've completed the course, Joe will invite you back to continue to learn or goes through different modules of the CCNA with his online evening courses. With this and the lab workbooks given to you to take home is a great way to prepare for the exam because you can focus on whatever you didn't understand in the classroom. Thanks Anthony and Joe for all your time!!

Hi Paul Many thanks for your review. Hope you are keeping well. Don't big up Anthony too much i will never hear the end of it :-) Keep up the labbing ,remember that if i have to lab every day so do you, no slacking. See you on the on-line sessions, if at any point you don't get the weekly emails just let Anthony know. Next week we are going to start MPLS, something every network engineer needs to be familiar with Kind regards Joe

Went to Commsupport Ltd for my resettlement on leaving the forces using my ELCs. Did CCNA R&S and Security. Excellent couple of weeks. All the equipment you need (of course) and the tuition is superb - Joe's a natural. Great teaching technique; nice relaxed, friendly atmosphere in the classroom and he's an absolute wizard at MS Paint! Pre-learning or existing knowledge is required - these are not beginner courses. They're hard and fast. Highly recommended.

I want to say a big thank you to Commsupport and to Joe and Anthony in particular. I’ve attended lots of IT training courses in the past with the big players, so i am used to a particular format of death by power point and being bored to tears with the presenters voice for days ,Commsupport is different, not a single power point slide for the entire 6 days of the CCNA, every thing is drawn on the computer, Joe is an amazing lecturer, if the knowledge won’t go into your head one way he will find another way to explain the same subject. Very interactive sessions, no one is allowed to hide in the back of the class. I choose commsupport after speaking to Anthony, I was impressed with their approach, they did not bombard me with emails or phone calls after my first enquiry, they simply left me to it to decide which I thought was very professional not like other training companies who bludgeon you with calls and emails until you relent and surrender your cash. On the first day of the CCNA course Sunday we were greeted by Joe and chatted while waiting for the other students to turn up once we started we got straight into networking, no idle chat about who we are or what we expect to get out of the course, I liked that! First day we covered Layer2 , vlans, trunking, vtp, spanning tree On the second day we started at 8:30am with subnettting then spanning tree until lunch time, after lunch we did basic routing and then eigrp, it was not all lecture, Joe would show us live there and then how the protocols work actual live demos of the subject in action, I had never seen any training company dare run live demos before, this shows a level of knowledge and competence that Joe has in his knowledge. The rest of the week flowed from one subject to another each subject was described in detail, shown and demonstrated in detail , each lecture was followed by the most comprehensive set of lab manuals I have ever come across. I counted six manuals in total, and it will take me another 3 weeks to work through all the labs. I really liked that in the classroom there was no projector, each pair of desks has a flat screen monitor were Joe’s screen is streamed to, so no matter where you are in the class you can clearly see everything that is going on plus every session is recorded, these recordings are given to us at the end of the week to take away, again another service I have never known any of the big training companies do. Twice a week in the evenings Joe hosts live sessions used for revision. I have been attended these session to reinforce my knowledge. Thee are also recorded and sent to the students. I have nothing but praise for Joe and Commsupport. A previous reviewer said that the bigger companies can learn one or two things about how to run a training course, I could not agree more. I plan to take the CCNA exam in a few weeks. I expect to pass of course. The knowledge I have gained from Joe, the labs, the evening sessions, the recorded material is just incredible. Thank you.

Hi John Many thanks for the review. Keep on top of the subject and no telling what is around the corner. Goes to show that prior experience even though desirable as it is is not always required. Knowledge is Knowledge is Knowledge, if you can demonstrate that you have the skills that can be as valuable. Many thanks Joe

Great informative CCNA session with emphasis on real life practicals rather than all theory. The instructor is funny and very knowledgeable. I have learned a lot from the online webinars as well as the classroom based session.

Joe and Commsupport, have displayed a dedication to assist their students achieve success that is not normally found in a training institution. His evening (depending on your global geographical location) webinars are an excellent way to refresh, relearn and discover new insights into the art that is networking. He has a very deep knowledge of his subject and, as he put it recently, he is always current with every component of networking because he teaches it all every week. I have read sceptics comment about Commsupport but until you dip your toe in the water you can't declare the temperature! Or you can, you just might be lying.

Hi James Many thanks for the review. The way i see it is simple i put in the effort i therefore expect all of my students to also put in the effort, lead by example i suppose. If i can make the classes fun and interactive it is more likely that you guys will be infected with my enthusiasm for the subject. Kind regards Joe

After attending the CCNA recently, I would not hesitate to recommend Commsupport. I was sceptical at first, but after meeting Joe and spending a few hours in class I knew I had made the right decision. Joe is an excellent tutor and a great character, he is passionate about his work & makes the lessons very interesting! The 6 day course was very intensive but also very productive. Each student has their own Cisco equipment to configure so it really is a hands-on experience. My knowledge of Cisco routing & networking has improved. There is lots of support with the online videos and webinars to inspire you to achieve that goal. # Thanks Joe

Hi Jo Many thanks for the kind words. Yes the class is intensive and not for the faint hearted, but anyone that is willing to make the effort like yourself will so discover that once you engage your mind and focus on the details of the protocols that actually networking is not so difficult just different. Keep labbing and see you on the on-line revision sessions Kind regards Joe

Good points: Pretty much everything, tons and tons and tons of labs, the build labs Joe wrote are nothing less that a god send, like Joe says work through the build labs all 28 of them and you will understand networking and like Joe said Lab Nine was horrible but when I finished lab nine 6 hours later at 2am in the morning I felt I had crossed a line and that I was now beginning to think “like a machine” to quote Joe I am applying what I have learnt in the class and from the labs in my job and stuff just works, it’s like being born again, LOL!!

What a great company. I took the CCNA online training course and haven't looked back. Joe's easy manner and ability to explain the technology in easy terms is brilliant. The course materials supplied were also excellent and fully supported his explanations. I'd recommend these guys to anyone looking to take a technology-based course in future.

I did the CCNA in January 2015.Fantastic training Joe!!!Be prepared for long days in the class and also be prepared for homework too. There are a lot of labs on the course, do not try to rush the labs they are not to be rushed. The fault finding labs are just cruel. Lots and lots of really good examples. It is obvious that Joe the instructor knows his stuff, would recommend the course to anyone looking to do the CCNA course with plenty of hands-on with Cisco kit.

I attended the CCNA October 2014 at Commsupport. The hands on lab materials are simply amazing. There are lots of labs to go through in the class and for you to complete in your own time. Joe the instructor took his time to explain all of the subjects in detail. All of the class sessions are recorded for us to take home at the end of the course, so if you need to go over the material again you can

I have been fortunate enough to attend 4 courses run by Commsupport, over the last 4 years. The first was the 6 day CCNA, the a old version of the CCNA Security, the current CCNA Security + CCNP Firewall + CCNP Secure Bootcamp and finally the CCNP Switch / Tshoot. All the courses were run by the same instructor Joe, who in my view is very capable and skilled at delivering all the information contained in these courses. If there was anything I didn’t/couldn’t understand he would take the time to explain it in a different way until I understood. Joe delivered the course material using the same method each time, firstly by explaining the subject, then he demonstrates it and then you get the opportunity to do it yourself. The class sizes were always less than 12 students which meant that we all had access to our own lab equipment throughout the course. We were also able to access our labs from the hotel/B&B after hours. (The lab equipment varied depending on the course being held.) Overall, I would highly recommend Commsupport and the Cisco courses they run. The knowledge I have gained has proved to be invaluable in my career, not only working with Cisco equipment but other vendors too.

Commsupport is not an ordinary training company, it is a cult!!! And the cult mantra is “LAB, LAB, LAB”. I have gotten a new job off of the back of this course. During the interview of my new job I was ask about my networking experience, I was honest with them that I did not have any real world experience but It was for a second line support role despite this I was expected to complete a hands on practical assessment on real cisco routers and switches I was given 60 minutes to complte, I finished their lab in 25 minutes, apparently the quickest ever and got it right and got the job. I can only put this down to being drilled into labbing every spare moment we got by Joe.

I can honestly say that I learnt more in 6 days than I did self studying for a year.Don't underestimate the amount of knowledge you will gain in the classroom with Joe. Joe will go into depth and even further to ensure that you really understand the topic. I loved the fact that we did extensive hands-on labs in the classroom and had access to the kit for a month. The lab workbooks are extensive and I really gained from working through Joe's challenge Labs. Can't thank Commsupport enough .

I was self studying the CCNA for nearly a year, nothing was making sense, I figured I would find a training course, I looked around at a couple of training companies, some of them charged crazy money some pester me every day on the phone to get me to part with my money, what I liked about commsupport was the “take or leave it” approach, they did not come across as desperate and I liked that, Anthony on the phone was patient answered my question even my technical ones, never did I feel pressured to buy. On the first day Joe greeted me like I was an old friend and chatted away while waiting for the other students to arrive, they really make you feel like you are a member of an extended family by the end of the end. What I love about commsupport is that for them the course is not over when you leave the class, the study continues with their webinars that Joe hosts twice a week (You really do deserve that MBE Joe) were he goes over more technologies, this is in his own time in the evening. I am loving this and would return to Commsupport when I need to do my CCNP. Thank Commsupport and Joe

Joe is one SuperTrainer, who won't let you go off the course without understanding everything. His technique is teaching through fun and finding new way how to explain boring stuff. Commsupport courses are very valuable and very high quality. Except "normal" courses they do as well online live FREE courses, which I personally think is very kind of them. I will recommend them to all my friends. Thank you very much for all you are doing for people. Five STARS!
