“At first, I thought I was seeing things — my report didn’t show the full amount I’d earned. After double-checking a few times, I knew something wasn’t right. I reached out to Michael and team, and they replied immediately . Turns out it was a simple issue, and they fixed it promptly. I really appreciated how smooth and stress-free they made the whole process.”
“This is not a traditional comparison site. They pass your details to a selection of different companies who in turn contact you directly. One quote was too expensive, another company kept emailing and wanted to do a video call probably to see what the address was like and the other one didn't even cover the area despite me having filled in the relevant details. I expect the companies have to pay a commission or have membership so that is going to up the price to the end user. You would be far better off going somewhere else like the phone book or Internet.”
“I am writing this review after personally contacting Compare My Move (CMM) to get this issue resolved but unfortunately I was left feeling that the business did not show any interest to my feedback. I Had the pleasure of speaking to Stuart, who addresses himself as “Head of Partner Support”, which is interesting as my experience has been nothing but unsupportive from him.
I am one of the partners that work alongside CMM. I called in to inquire as to why a flagged a lead was not refunded.
My company, and others spend a lot of money in advance to be able to receive good quality leads, unfoutunalty, this is not what we are getting, as CMM do not do their due diligence when sending leads to us and leaves it up to us to check whether the lead is valid.
Stuart replies for not adding the credit back onto the account was because “the email worked just fine” – I explained to Stuart that the number worked just fine too, however the person at the other end of the phone confirmed that the wrong number was imputed, which one could also assume that the email will likely be the wrong email too. I explained that just because the email went though, does not mean that that email was sent to the right person.
Despite explaining countless times that we were spending the money to receive leads that are valid, Stuart kept referring to the “policy”, and had no real interest in helping or resolving the issue. Infact, comments were made by Stuart about my company, stating that we were frequently highlighting problems.
I happily explained to Stuart that if he was investing money into a service that is failing to produce reasonable results and suggestions to make the service better were being dismissed/ignored, he too would be disappointed.
I proceeded to ask to speak to someone that was going to show interest to the fact that something should probably change regarding to policy, excuses were made as to reasons why I was unable to speak to management, or “they would look into it”, or the “policy has been around for years, we will not change it because of one person”
Today has been interesting to the fact that I have made some valid points relating to problems that I am having as consumer, which have been met with defensiveness and dismissal.
It’s a shame that the same energy/effort that was used to get my company and other partner on bored, is not used to resolved problems relating to leads.
There are many other lead companies that I will be more than happy looking into, as I am shocked that someone who role in the establishment is to aid their partners, can be so condensing and disingenuous to the situation.”
“Dont be Deceived
This is not a price comparison site as the name implies.
They are an advertising agent for small medium sized companies which are on theirs books, simply pass on your info.”
“Absolute rip off
They didn’t show up on the move date
Came with 2 trucks instead of 6 when the eventually came at 4 pm the next day .
Destroyed 3 lamps , left furniture with no one guarding the trucks so things were stolen on site
Lost my wedding dress and extremely expensive curtains .
Arrived late inti the evening 3 times because they insufficient men and trucks
Charged us £500 for used boxes in advanced many of which were unusable
Sloppy movers . Had to find men off the streets because they didn’t have enough workers . There were supposed to be 12 men and 6 3.5 ton trucks
They didn’t bother to pack bulbs and lamps . Instead carried them from the tops . They were supposed to have a carpenter . They never came
It was a joke . They sent just one of the movers instead and he was clearly not a carpenter . We had to pay someone else to install our mirrors .
They spread false information about unhappy customers .
Was a financial waste”
“Terrible company - They recommend unregulated and legally questionable companies and don't care about customers.
They promise to put you in touch with professional “regulated” companies but the one I had wrecked the move, left things behind, damaged property and distressed my young family.
When I asked comparemymove to give me the regulatory bodies details, they said actually they didn’t mean regulated by the moving regulator - just checked by the website!!! Amazing false claim.
Would never have used a company they recommended if had known this. Now have been stung, lost money and belongings are wrecked.
After I complained they have changed their website to remove the “regulated” claim but have not accepted that it was wrong to say this.
Be beware - the companies recommended are unregulated and in my case was criminal and damaging. The lack of transparency and apologies about the effect this had suggest this company only cares about money and NOT customers.
AVOID”
“I choose Pacific removals.
They are the worst removal company I have ever met. They were packing my stuff without care, they were literally dumping my stuff in boxes. They charge me £10.00 each for used boxes they probably got free from shops. They kept all my stuff in the van, refused to bring any thing into my new flat , unless I payed them all the money in the street. There were lots of arguments, if I did not pay them all the money in the street, I was not going to get any of my stuff into my flat. The original charge went from £150. to £320. and I had to pay all this up front, and if I did not pay up-front immediately they threaten to charge me by the hour. I gave in and payed all the money they ask for, then they brought all my stuff and dumped it all into my new flat. They are insensitive, uncaring and inhumane. They have no human feelings, they are literally stone.”
“You aren't what you advertise. You don't compare anything you just forward clients details to multiple companies. Only few of which actually response. You should actually market for what you are- a referral agent. When someone needs immediate information it is easy to be misled by your site.”
