“I purchased a wardrobe from DAKO 8 months ago. It has literally fell apart. The products are faulty. The door almost came off on my 4 year old. Dangerous cheap products not worth the money. Currently in a battle with DAKO to get someone to come out and try to resolve the issue but DAKO decided to say the warrently is now void now because the door moved! Next step is a charge back/legal action. Customer service levels are shocking - rude and arrogant. Seriously, save your money - avoid this company at all cost!

“Unacceptable Experience
I recently purchased a wardrobe from Dako, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. Upon delivery, I discovered that one of the doors was damaged. Despite assembling it according to the unclear instructions provided, I found that the wardrobe did not fit together properly. Beware, multiple pieces of the furniture will arrive without any number to match with assembly instructions.
When I reached out to customer service for assistance, I was met with accusations that the issues were due to my assembly skills. The instructions were poorly written, lacking necessary details and part numbers, making it incredibly difficult for someone without professional experience to follow them correctly.
After several back-and-forth emails, a technician was sent to deliver the missing door but refused to address the fundamental problem with the wardrobe's structure. Instead, they suggested I remove the back panel to "fix" the issues, which seems impractical and could potentially cause further damage.
Dako's customer service has been inadequate, focusing on placing blame rather than finding a resolution. As customers, we expect to receive a functional product and support from the company when problems arise. Instead, I feel let down and frustrated by their lack of accountability.
I cannot recommend Dako based on my experience. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for quality furniture and service.”
“Saying that I'm unimpressed with the service provided by Dako would be an understatement. I've ordered a sofa from Dako on 1st of April. The estimated delivery date stated on the website was 1-10 days. According to the email I received the next day my order was ready to ship. I contacted Dako to get an update on the progress of my order on 8th of April and was very surprised when I was told that because my address is in a "red zone" they needed more time, up to 15 days to deliver my sofa. The different delivery timescales for different zones were not specified during the ordering process. This was not the end of the world for me as I still had an old sofa sitting in the living room and didn't mind waiting a little bit longer for a new one. The Dako phoned me on 16th April to let me know that my order will be delivered by DX on the 18th and that the courier will contact me prior to delivery. I was waiting at home all day but the courier never got in touch with me neither did Dako. I phoned Dako in the afternoon and was promised that someone will call me back once they obtain the information from the DX. That never happened. instead I received an email with the link to the DX tracking website. The information on this site wasn't very useful, there was no estimated delivery date, etc so I phoned Dako again in the morning on 19th April. I was told that there is nothing they can do because my order is with the DX now! Well, it wasn't me who arranged the shipment, so in my opinion it shouldn't be me who deals with the courier company. I haven't ordered a sofa from DX, I've ordered it from Dako and I'm starting to regret it. Our old sofa has been dismantled and removed to make room for a new one so now due to Dako being unable to do their job properly we have nothing to sit on in our living room.”
“DO NOT BUY. VERY CHEAP QUALITY!!
Order no:2000045930
I bought the serina wardrobe from dako, it came after 6 weeks but the quality was so soo cheap the first twist i done to put the screw in chipped and this happened for all the holes where the screws were meant to fit. Thats only one problem. secondly there was so many damages to the parts of the wardrobes i actually realised after collecting the parts to assemble them one by one. Third is that there were missing screws and the assembling guide is so rubbish you have to check it 10 times to figure out what goes where. So basically i was only able to assemble some parts and it is not an sturdy wardrobe until now, it is literally wobbling. Yet i havent fixed the sliding doors yet which one of them weigh more than the whole wardrobe, so i dont know how this cheap wardrobe all together would hold one door in place without it wobbling all around. 4th is that there is supposed to be shelves on both sides of the wardrobe, same size same shape but for some reason on one side of the wardrobe the assembling instructions and screws are different from the other. And some shelves only fit onto a tiny screw that will not hold the shelve in place, its not safe! I messaged them and told them.the story but they told me because ive assembled some parts of the wardrobe they arent able to refund it. And can only replace the damaged parts (all the parts have cracks and damage) but they seem to not understand how on earth are customers supposed to know whether the wardrobe meets the standards before you assemble. So how do i understand the wardrobe is wobbleing before assembling it. The max they offered is £50 as a particial refund. Unbelieable! You can only email them which results in days of communications. Waste of so much time. An second hand wardrobe will be better quality than Dako furnitures!”
“Do not buy anything from this company.
Bought an extra large wardrobe from them and paid for installation. Quality was not great but ok you get what you pay for. I am now moving house a little over 7 months from when I bought it - and find that the team that installed had broken several parts of the wardrobe at the time of installing.
When I called to claim - they told me it was my problem. They refused to connect me to a manager and they hanged up the phone on me.
This is a polish company which should not be operating in the UK if they are unable to follow standard customer service procedures.
The lady that I spoke to was so incredibly rude and would not let me get a word in - eventually she asked me if I thought that she was being racist (that completely threw me) so I said yes, actually I think you are. Then she tells me that the calls are being recorded - well I am glad they are as that means her rudeness, and lack of customer service will be clearly seen.
Do not buy from this company - they are a scam”
“Bought a sofa from them mid-September and it started coming apart at the beginning of January. Very disappointed, contacted them and they basically said that it's my fault and that the sofa was overused and this is why the backrest is now coming apart from the metal brackets. I explained to them that there is no case of a sofa being overused in just 4 months. Also, we are a family of 2 and a toddler, so there was no case of over usage. They said that because pressure was applied to the backrest that is why I have problems with the sofa. I explained that a backrest is meant for people to lean on and that is the whole purpose of a backrest. So basically if you buy a sofa from them and you don't want to have any problems with it just keep it on display and don't sit on it or lean on the backrest as it will be your fault if it brakes. Absolutely no support from the warranty team or from them, I was offered new brackets to replace them myself but that was it, even though the wood bit that the brackets screw on I completely destroyed as the screws came out, so basically replacing the brackets will no work and most likely the problem will reappear again. Faulty design and poor quality will definitely not buy again from them. Poor customer service.”
“The quality of the sofa bed Tenus Punto 09 is very poor. It was made in an artificial way without any technologies. The wrong materials were used in this sofa for the bed surface. The fiberboard was applied which was all broke under the weight of a person. The price is unreasonably high for such an awful quality product. See attached photos and videos.”
“Awful service! Wardrobe was almost 2 months later than scheduled, the day before it arrived they said I needed to provide a parking permit for central London for their delivery. What e-commerce company asks you to arrange for parking to deliver?!
When I called them up customer service was incredibly rude and unhelpful, wanting to charge me £49 if I couldn't provide parking.
If you live in Central London choose a more serious furniture shop that actually cares about its customers.”
