Dale at the surrey branch was very helpful and always got back to us when we needed to sort anything out. The delivery team were also excellent and took great care when unwrapping the furniture and even took away the protective coverings. Will definitely recommend darlings of chelsea to friends and family. Thanks and we hope to deal with you again.

I would like to take a moment to thank you for your amazing product , customer service and delivery Our continente sofas are beyond expectation We are very relieved as we had never bought such a big purchase online without touching, sitting on and viewing the item before ordering, a very new experience for us. From start to finish we had a very positive experience Your website is amazing, very clear, concise and informative Your customer service was excellent, when I phoned with my order( if I had an uneasy gut feeling when I spoke to customer service I would not have ordered, so a very important part of the process) It is also our first experience of a product manufactured after ordering was delivered early! I did not have to chase delivery once which always adds to the stress and uneasiness with an Internet purchase Your delivery agent kept in contact every step of the way as though they were part of Darlings Finally and most importantly the delivery team were fantastic They handled all our challenges with a smile We loved that they delivered to room unpacked,assembled, checked items and removed packaging, which is a huge benefit these days The sofa quality, design and fabric are excellent and also great value for money Thank you for an all round wonderful service I am happy to recommend your company

My furniture is beautiful and I am beyond happy However, the customer service is lacking, trying to get a return call or info after purchase was indeed difficult.

When shopping we are all looking for "old fashioned service" but not really sure what that means. It is usually thought of as politeness but surely that's just good manners, you can only really comment on service when something goes slightly wrong with the order, then you can measure customer service and their values. Without dwelling too long on my order and the issues surrounding it, what I can say is Darlings went beyond customer service to ensure my experience was totally positive. At what must have been a great expense Darlings rectified the issues keeping me informed. They rejected my choice of conclusion for theirs which was far more expensive and thorough. So what I am left with is a fantastic sofa and the knowledge that I now know what is meant by "old fashioned service" it starts with Darlings of Chelsea.

Excellent customer service. The man in Tunbridge wells even let us in when the store was officially closed. delivered as promised in time for Christmas and we are very happy with the sofa. Overall I can't fault any aspect of the process

Was extremely pleased with everything involved in ordering, purchasing, finished product, help and assistance from Sales staff and delivery men. This Canterbury 2 seater sofa is of exceptional quality, leather is superb. If you are looking for quality and first class service, look no further than Darlings of Chelsea!

I found Darling's of Surrey a very relaxed and comprehensive place to shop for our furniture which consisted of two sofas and a sofa bed. Its our first experience with Darlings but one we are sure to repeat. We liked the large floor space which permitted display of a very wide range of good quality furniture. When needed, the staff were both helpful and knowledgeable but without the irritating persistence one sometimes experiences thus allowing us to form our own conclusions in our own time. This professionalism extended to their after-sales attention and to the delivery service they used which was second to none. I have no hesitation in recommending Darling's for all of the right reasons and last but not least, they run a delicious hot and cold refreshments bar. Comprehensive, of course!

Purchased a Sandhurst snuggler and sofa bed from the St Albans store. Was very impressed by the range and quality of sofas. The furniture was delivered on time and we were kept informed of progress up to the delivery day. Having looked at the furniture there were some faults that we were not very happy about - none of them were very major, but when you're paying nearly £3000 you want it just about right. I contacted Darlings and they quickly arranged for someone to visit and look at the problems. They quickly offered me a solution which I felt was very fair, and again kept me regularly informed right up to the point of everything being sorted out. As a final gesture of goodwill I was even sent a leather cleaning kit! Often when you buy things, and there is a problem with them, you face a real uphill struggle to reach a compromise. This was not the case with Darlings of Chelsea, who showed a very high degree of customer service and professionalism throughout. I am particularly grateful to Julie at Head Office for all her help. I would have no hesitation using Darlings again or recommending them to friends

Natalie from the Vale showroom helped me with a bespoke sofa. She arranged that I could send my own fabric to the manufacturer. It arrived last week and it is both gorgeous and very comfortable. It also cost a fraction of the price quoted by Kingcome! She kept me updated regularly with its progress too. Many thanks Darlings - and I think your showroom is inspirational and very stylish.

Appalling experience from Darlings of Chelsea Enough time has passed for this review to be written in a non-emotive manner. We saw an amazing sofa within Darlings of Chelsea’s clearance section – 6 stunning, crisp photos. Tick! But we’re old enough to realise that clearance means ‘potential issue’ so we reviewed the condition box; ‘good condition’ it stated. Tick! As a final check we phoned the Ash Vale showroom. ‘It’s in great condition – looks like a cancelled customer order’ said their representative. 3 ticks! Wow we thought – visually great, descriptively good - both verbally confirmed. Let’s order! What a mistake. We were advised as to a delivery date the afternoon before, which was ridiculously short notice but thankfully we were in. When the sofa arrived our faces dropped. There were about 20-25 dark marks on the sofa; both ends, back, seat and scatter cushions, all visible from at least 15 feet away. One in particular was deep, black and approximately 15cm x 10 cm – looked amazing on cream fabric!!! ‘Here’s a cleaning kit’ said the delivery men. WHAT???? Numerous emails and phone calls followed, culminating in a formal complaint raised later in the afternoon. ‘We have people who clean sofas and we’ll get back to you within 24-48hrs’ said the representative. Guess what? No phone call, here we chase again. It took phoning HQ in Birmingham to speak to someone with a customer focus. It transpires that there is no cleaning availability (which does make sense but hopes dashed again). Following an internal investigation the sale photos originated from a formal photo shoot rather than the actual item for sale. Rather naughty for an item in a clearance section…………….. To be fair to Darlings they offered a refund within a couple of hours of delivery and that’s what we accepted. The sofa has been collected and our transaction cancelled. But the misinformation (we can clean it for you), the lack of initial ownership / customer service and an inability to return phone calls meant we had the most awful experience over the past 4 days. Simply, how can a sofa leave in such a condition? I’m sure DoC will respond to this review and rightfully they should. Simply putting their hands up and saying ‘yeah we got that badly wrong’ would suffice.

We are very sorry to read of your experience with our team at Darlings of Chelsea. Our clearance items are a mix of end of season stock, ex-display models or furniture that we were unable to fit through the doors of a customers home. As a consequence these items may have imperfections such as scratches, and scuffs etc. Wherever possible we refurbish goods and at the very least examine goods prior to sale or shipping. In this particular case, it transpired that the goods were not examined satisfactorily prior to shipping. Furthermore, our promise to clean the goods was made by an inexperienced team member, who has since undergone further training. In attempt to have the goods professionally cleaned we did contact two professional upholstery companies, who for their own reasons declined to clean the goods. We did also offer you an at home cleaning kit to clean the goods which was also rejected. Having no further option we collected the goods and refunded the yourself in full. Many of our customers request our inventoried clearance items be delivered as soon as possible, and many remark favourably on our swift turn-around from order point to offer of delivery. In this particular case this was inconvenient to the customer and for this we are sorry. We have since evaluated our processes and since introduced new systems to ensure that mistakes of this nature cannot happen again. We are truly sorry and are always striving to improve.
