“Depop have removed 3 genuine designer items in the last 24 hours, despite the fact that the photos clearly show the authenticity of the items and despite the fact that I have a 100% track record of selling genuine designer items (I have over 150 5-star reviews). Yet a quick search on their site shows that similar items which are clearly fake (from sellers with no other items sold, zero reviews, and using stock photos) are still there. This is absolutely disgusting.”
“The pennies you’ll make reselling things on Depop are not worth the time and stress.
In almost a year using the app I had all sorts of bad experiences, including being harassed three times in my inbox by a weirdo asking me for pictures of myself wearing a specific jacket. These happened a few months apart, showing they have no control over people who are banned returning to the app.
But the last drop was a sale in which I sent the parcel with tracking number, the buyer wasn't home to receive the delivery and it sat at the post office for 2 weeks. I warned her she needed to pick it up otherwise it would be returned to me, and so it happened. She blamed me (?) and I reached out to Depop to mediate.
I gave her a refund on the item but kept the shipping fee because, you know, I actually paid to have it shipped to her, and the post returns the parcel but doesn’t refund the fee.
However, mindless Depop support keeps regurgitating the same standard “buyer-always-right” response saying I should give her a full refund. So basically, even though I did everything right I’m supposed to take a loss out of buyer negligence.
In sum, they provide very little support to sellers while taking big cuts, including on shipping. It’s impossible to get eyes on your listing without boosting it, so be prepared to pay them twice as much as they advertise.
Maybe you’ll have a better experience if you’re reselling luxury items, otherwise I wouldn’t bother.”

He kept the authentic item and sent me the replica. he scammed me out of the refund and had depop issue him a full refund out of my Depop balance. I Just met with my lawyer today and we will seek compensation.”

“This was my first time shopping on this site. This a place for scammers Haven. I purchased a LV Never full for 509.00 purchased via Klarna. The seller sent me a notification with a fake tracking number. I received a notification that the item was delivered. I tracked the number and the picture that appeared was not my address. I contacted FEDEX and they said that the tracking number was not the same account and that they could not disclose the address to where it was delivered. I had placed another 2 orders with another seller via Paypal. The seller never answered any of my questions. I made the purchase and the seller never sent me a tracking number. After, several days went by I decided to reach out to Paypal and file a dispute. Thank god that I paid with paypal They refunded my money asap. The 1st transaction was through Klarna. I called them and filed a dispute. They also ruled in my favor and refunded me my money. The sellers are scammers. I saw the same purse and picture on another person's webpage. I would suggest to stick with more trusting sites such as ebay, mercari , offer -up, poshmark. Stay away from Depop. I was lucky to get my refund back quickly. Don't waste your time.”
