“Information on state of progress impossible to get. Unable to reach company by phone and received no reply to my E-mail. Sign when it arrived was what I ordered.”

Hello, thank you for your review. We will always endeavour to best advise on estimated despatch times, however we do state online and in the confirmation email when your sign is due for despatch. During the manufacturing process, it is very hard to advise whether this will be despatched sooner due to the complex manufacturing techniques. With regards to your correspondence, the emails received went to our No-Reply sales email box which is an un-manned email. Kind regards Design a Sign

“The sign came without fitting instructions and the two plastic bolts were way bigger than the holes on the glass sign. Too expensive for what it is. I should have gone for something cheaper. On the positive side I received the sign 2 or 3 days after the order, which was good. However I would not recommend this website. Just an honest and objective opinion.”

Hello, thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear you did not receive the instructions with your sign. Please feel free to send us your details via email and we shall have these sent over to you. With regards to the hole sizing on the plaque, these hole are supposed to be 8mm in diameter to allow the Silver Stand off Bolts to pass through. This was not an error, but meant to be the way of installation as shown in the photos online. I hope this helps. Kind regards Design a House Sign

“The lettering on the laser etched sign on slate does not contrast sufficienty. The sign is only legible when close, which is too late for those coming to the house by car.”

“I ordered my house sign under the impression it was real glass, it turned out its no more than Perspex Glass, you can buy this quality on Amazon for half the price of what I paid. My order took quite a while to be made and delivered, every time I went live chat the person gave me the same story "it's leaving our workshop tomorrow" My advice would be buy off Amazon, Payless, and get it faster.”

Hello Dennis I am sorry to hear you are disappointed with your sign. We do advertise online that this is a Glass Effect Acrylic, so I am unsure as to why you might have expected real glass. All our signs are created by hand to ensure a quality product, so this is a possible reason for the time it took to manufacture. It is true, there are cheaper alternatives on Amazon, however you should note that these are made of a far inferior material which will not last like our house signs. There are many different types of Acrylic and we choose to use the best available to ensure long life expectancy for our signs.

Hello Nick I am sorry this is the case. I can see that the delivery of the original order was attempted when expected however this was closed/carded as you were not available and had to be rearranged. I can see your order consisted of the two standard sized signs we offer of which we do not sell anything smaller. Once again, we apologies for your delayed delivery, but we are glad all is received now.

Hello Michael I am sorry to hear this is the case, but I cannot actually see any correspondence between our customer service and yourself regarding this matter? How did you advise us of this issue? Was the font different to that of which you ordered? I would love to help, but please can you let us know whether the font was incorrect or different to how you was expecting? Thank you.

“The house sign is lovely other than you cannot read the writing on it from the pavement which is only about 5 metres away. The writing is much too pale, almost translucent. I emailed the company 5 days ago and have yet to receive a response. I am very disappointed and consider this purchase a waste of money as it is”

“Despite being happy with the product, we were very unimpressed by the service I’m afraid. After waiting over 3 weeks for my signs I emailed the company only to receive what I assume was a standard reply stating their policy for despatching and postage timings. My waiting time had already exceeded this so I didn’t feel my letter had been read properly. I eventually received my signs, and an additional package which was someone else’s sign. I emailed the company straight away clearly stating I had received my signs but had also received someone else’s. After sending photos of the wrongly sent sign they said they would get onto sending me my signs, which I had already received and told them so! I sent several emails and each reply from Luke White, a customer service manager, addressed me as David which is my husband. I felt this was unprofessional and annoying! I just feel the customer service let’s this company down.”

“I placed an order for a house sign on a slate. The lettering is white. The letters are not was to read as the contrast between the light slate colour is not sufficient. If the slate is wet with rain etc the text becomes unreadable. Overall I am disappointed with the product I purchased.”

Hello, thank you for your review. We offer a few different variations of slate online and it looks as if you opted for the laser etched slate sign. Because this is an etching into the surface of the stone itself, the lettering will inevitably darken when the stone itself is wet. This is due to the fact that slate is a natural material and porous. As the stone itself absorbs the water, so does the text. This process we describe online in our terms. There were other options online where you could have chosen a deep engraved slate sign with an infilled white lettering which would not have been effected when wet.

“Bought 3 house numbers which took a long time to arrive, when it did I was quiet underwhelmed. Flimsy and thin jaggered on the number 6 with kinks and nips not smooth at all, the font was also not what I chose. On ringing the company I was asked to email picture and they would get back to. Considering the time it took to arrive I took a loss and decided to purchase better quality elsewhere.”

“Whilst the website was excellent, easy to use and the product dispatched quickly, I am afraid the end result appeared a little “cheap” I am afraid to say. I looked at a few sites and the costs of similar were in in the same ball park, maybe they are all of this quality. At the end of the day it is sticky letters on a small sheet of clear plastic, machine cut by the looks of it,with no hand finishing leaving the edges a bit sharp and unrefined. I thought itvwould look better, I’ll have to look to spend more next time.”

Hello, I am very sorry to hear you have received a sign of quality you were not expecting. We show all our sizes online with an option to review your purchase at checkout before ordering. The description of our this particular house sign explains how we use a commercial grade vinyl (Same as road signs) to create the lettering. Please be assured this will not just "Wear off" but will actually adhere stronger over time. Was there any reason you were unable to read the product description before purchase? Once again I am sorry you are not very happy with your item.

“Miserable customer service from this company. Sign was very late arriving due to their delivery company alleging that they had tried twice to deliver but "no one of that name belongs in my block of flats". Finally I was asked to call the delivery company myself and the owner delivered. Then the plastic signs were mis-printed - two separate words had the first letter from the second at the end of the first. Slate sign was fine, but two screws delivered - one a slot, one a Philips. Couldn't even get a detail like this right. Should never have chosen this company - plenty of competition in this market.”

“I ordered my sign 4 weeks ago, I was told 2 weeks ago my order was leaving them, only to call back today to be told that they have only posted it yesterday, standard delivery . So it could be upto another week.”

“The sign was damaged and poorly made when it arrived. After much emailing, the company eventually agreed to me returning the damaged sign (at my cost). That was weeks ago and I've still not received a replacement. Very disappointing.”
