“I have the LightRanger. I have used it for work and for camping. For camping, i have used it in the sun and rain with no regrets. It is a great light, very bright and easy to move around. I love the feature that allows the light to change from 360 degrees to 180 to 90 as it allows for better functionality of the light direction. The solar panels are also great and work well. The one issue is the tripod base. The center hub is made of plastic and though sturdy enough to support the light, breaks easily.”
“Bright, easy to setup and use. Great open area light. Wish it used USB-C instead of micro-USB. The charge port cover needs improving; can be hard to use.”
“Used the Light Ranger for the first time on a 4 day overlanding trip. It worked great and the battery lasted the entire trip, with the light being used daily on various outputs. My only "complaint" is that you have to buy light filters for amber color, etc. I think for the price of this light, this is something that should be included.”
“Worked as advertised, sufficient battery life. The stand however could be better. Lock on bottom of stand doesn’t function properly so I’ll need to use tape.”
“I actually LOVE LOVE LOVE my lights. The only thing is I don't think they last 16 hours. Probably more like 4-5hours. It forces me to charge it every time I'm going to use it. The amount of light it gives off though is amazing. I've used it a lot.”
“I purchased two and have used them around the pool and when doing woodwork outside. They were great until one of them started turning off after only an hour of use. I need to contact customer service.”
“Devos outdoor light ranger is awesome! Highly recommend it for overlanding or any use. Devos customer service is hands down the best compare to other companies out there.”
“The Devos Lightranger is fantastic product. I use it in the backyard as well as take it with me on monthly campouts with my son’s Scout troop. In fact, the troop likes it so much they’ve requested that I order a few for the troop as it is a game changer when Scouts need to set up their own tents after dark. I’m hesitant to do that though due to the design of the tripod base. At the last Campout a Scout barely stepped on one of the legs of my Lightranger and now it can no longer stand on its own (fractured bracket around the rivet). Otherwise this is a 5/5 product.”
“Overall much better than the standard nylon bags! Would have liked to have seen a better zipper, maybe a stash pocket on outside for the shoulder strap when not in use, not a fan of the plastic shoulder strap clips. Really wish it had some type of internal tie straps (mole strips) for the light poles to secure. I drive down a lot of dirt roads and will see how it holds up tied down to cargo rack.”
“Game Changer because i don't have to carry lantern fuel & lantern mantels. I'm now only utilizing my Devos light. The only reason i didn't give a 5 star is because i wished the battery lasted longer. The good news is that i can turn off 1/2 of the lights (the sides that face away from campsite) and that greatly helps.”
“We took our first camping trip and used one of our Devos lights. It worked great. We saw reviews that said the light was too "bright" or too "white", but we found it a perfect compliment to our camper lights. We bought two, but only used the one. My only complaint was that it shut off suddenly. We assumed that it just needed charged, and it did. Wished it gave some sort of warning, or dimmed s it got weaker.”
