“Ordered online on Sun 15th Jan, a double oven. Rang on Thurs 19th to find out when delivery would be ( so i could plan my weekend in case delivery was going to Sat) I was told delivery would be on Fri 20th, I thought brilliant, no need to change any weekend plans. Fri came, no text or email with any delivery times so just after lunch I rang customer service. Girl there said she couldn't see a time yet but would ring the store to find out more and call me back. No call back was received, rang again around 4pm, rang 5 times and each time someone answered and hung-up! I rang the store myself and was told the order was on the truck, and that delivery could take up to 6pm. I thought ok , maybe I'm the last order of the night. 5.30 came, still no call from any delivery driver so I rang the store again. This time I got talking to a lovely guy who went above and beyond to help me. He apologies and said he didn't know why I was told delivery was today when the oven wasn't even on the truck!!! He offered to deliver the oven himself in his own car which I didn't want him to do, that just wasn't right. I said I can wait till tomorrow (Sat) for delivery. Sat morning came, rang the store at about 10.30, the very helpful guy there said the oven is on the truck and will be with me before 12. That was fine, then eventually got a call from the delivery driver to say he was on his way. When he arrived, his manner wasn't great. He at no time mentioned to me about inspecting the oven, but I did, I took off all the cardboard and checked it over, and only then signed his book to confirm I was happy. Then because I had removed all the packaging, I just asked if he was able to take that away with him (sometimes they do) but he was quite blunt in pointing out I had a recycling bin. A simple "oh no sorry we don't take the cardboard" would have done. There was a sarcastic tone to his voice which just wasn't needed and was just rude. After that then, the guy from the shop rang to ask if I got delivery and was everything ok. Only for him I would given DID 1 star but he went above and beyond to help me and genuinely cared about getting the order to me as promised.”
“I ordered a mobile phone online and two weeks later and four phone calls to customer service I still had not received my phone. They seemed to be unable to dispatch it from the store. In the end I asked for a refund. On the basis of my experience I wouldn't recommend ordering online with them. Poor service.”
“We bought landline phones in May in Crumlin DID- Several times calls weren't heard when calls came in or if we calls. Eventually we returned them in August but calls were still with crackling on line
Today once more called to DID shop where customer service was nil- refund but not full amount- we have been customers for years and the assistant would have seen this by looking on shop computer- payment always by credit card- so even without receipt this would show
Returned with receipt- assistant on lunch- but another salesperson listened- refunded the amount but this is too late!!
We always found staff pleasant to deal with over the years but thanks to this episode DID have lost customers because a member of their staff was not polite or helpful”
“A set of pots were supposed to come with the induction hob I ordered. The hob was delivered but no pots. It took me 5 separate efforts at contracting DID before they send me the pots, two weeks later. There was no accountability or connection between any of the channels i contacted; the customer contact number, the email, the twitter a/c and the facebook a/c.”
