“Got a selection of food as a gift for a birthday. One item missing.. called up and told they won't talk to me due to GDPR AFTER they read out the name and address that I didn't give! Then they decided to send the replacements to the person that ordered, not the gift recipient! I complained and they said they can't send out 2 items.. yes they can and do!! Broke GDPR, don't understand what GDPR is and make dreadful decisions like sending the replacements to the person that ordered instead of the person who received the order missing the items!! GDPR means you cant give info to me, but I can give you lots of info. They seemed to think it was both ways, yet even with that she still broke GDPR in a huge way!!”

“Up until now, I have been a big fan of Donald Russell. Great quality meat and good service. Now I am wondering if there is something seriously wrong with the company. I have been trying to contact them for over a week: Phone lines go unanswered emails have an automated reply, but no follow up, their messaging service is unresponsive and their live chat is dead. WHAT IS GOING ON? They have the wrong delivery address and I am not sure where my order will end up.”

“Good customer service However I found the bbq pack quite expensive for content as small steaks which in the case of the rump ones were chewy and tasteless. Delivery on day but a pain to get time schedule on day of delivery Would probably not buy again”

“The food no matter what you get is 1st class, whatever I order it is the very best that can ever be produced, above all else it is affordable and cannot be beaten for taste and you get instructions for cooking too.”

“Amazing company. Delivery’s have always arrived in good condition, cold and well packaged. On time too. And we live down south in Hertfordshire. The meat is next level and I’ve not tasted meat since that can compare. They were also able to provide me with all the answers to the questions I had regarding allergy info and the welfare of the animals. Happy customer!”

“Excellent company to buy from. Their produce is very good. Have used them for several years now and have never had a but piece of meat. Delivery always arrive on stated date. Have recommended them to seral friends.”

“There is always plenty of choice with great offers to be had. Ordering is simple and delivery is always on the day and time selected. Great quality meat and fish cut to generous proportions that tastes as good as it looks. In the absence of a 'real' local butcher these products are far better than anything you will find on the shelves in a supermarket.”

“Donald Russell sells local Scottish produce, mostly meat and fish. The products are fabulous, the people are always helpful, you can choose a delivery date and everything is in prime condition when it is delivered. While the meat is not cheap, you get what you pay for and I am happy to pay so that I know the animals have been raised in humane conditions and with no unnecessary hormones or antibiotics. The chicken and duck from Loue, France are high welfare, free range birds and the duck confit is just about the best thing I have ever tasted!”
