“Delivered yesterday all items were thawed ice packs were dry arrived in a cardboard box have had to throw away awaiting a response before taking it further”

“Quality of food is ok it's the fact that they don't always send all your order and you have to phone for a refund. They don't care about non delivery and blame the supplier not updating the stock level.”

“Ordered for Xmas food! All delivered ok on 23rd kept in box apart from lobster? The beef wellington was very good cooked as per in strict ions! Brussels sprouts awful threw away? Today cooked the lobster as per instructions? It was terrible smelt and was like mushy cotton wool? Googled it and said it was dead before cooking and decomposing! Waste of money and ruined Xmas!”

“Ordered meats for our Christmas dinner and only half the order turned up (on 23rd December). I phoned customer services and they confirmed they were missing items so sent half the order (but didn't give us any advance warning so that we could save the Christmas dinner). There are so many online high quality butchers - just use another one and avoid risking your special event :)”

“Christmas box with turkey was supposed to arrive today . FEDX stated it would be delivered between 10am and 12.30 pm . After this time we were given a new time , before 6 pm , then a last one which stated before the end of the day . It is now 9.40pm and no sign. It has meant we have had to stay in all day and still concerned that it might not turn up or if it does WHAT STATE ?? Never had this problem before but it was never before delivered by FEDX.”

“On my last order you usually get a notification to say your delivery is on its way, I never received one as time went by I emailed Donald Russel but no reply,My delivery went to next door I emailed again to say this but again no reply,Which is very disappointing as they were usually so good at customer service it does seem they r cutting back on products and customer service,But the plus is the meat is excellent as always”

“Appalling service. I was supposed to get 20% discount as a new customer; didn’t happen. I lost count at the amount of times I tried ringing and ringing and then getting cut off. They do not answer emails either. Can’t comment on the meat as it hasn’t arrived!!!”

“Received my first order after a recommend . The products were well packed and individually wrapped. We had the Fillet Mignon steak today which was absolutely delicious and tender. I will definitely be placing another order in the future.”

“I am so impressed with the service I received, I'm not computer literate and the staff went way beyond to help me set up my account. When my order arrived I was armed with, plastic bags, labels and marker. Opened my box and it was all done ready for me, packed individually and labeled clearly. I know it's good quality as a friend gave me a steak dinner a few weeks ago. The meat so lean tender and delicious. Thank you Donald Russell”

“Sadly very disappointed with my order; have voiced my concerns to the company before writing this review but the reply I received was disinterested at best. I remember DR's burgers as solid, meaty and flavoursome being 100% beef. Now they are smaller and have been padded out with rice flour and other cheap fillers and their taste and texture is reminiscent of Birds Eye. I also ordered meat balls which stated 100% beef on the website. Not so. Also padded out with rice flour etc. After several enjoyable years of their products it is time to walk away. Such a disappointment. Please get your act together DR and bring back decent products again.”

“Ordered for Christmas with free small pork joint. Order came the following week with no pork. Answer was that I must have not added correct code or put the right date. Storage was not a problem but I did request the pork joint. Was informed that this would be added to me next order. Since I have no intention of dealing with this company again that was pointless. Of the order - ham was fine, pigs in blankets excellent, stuffing too dense. Turkey was 100% tasteless. Have purchased from this company for quite a while but their customer service is non-existent.”

“Russell failure!! Ordered food back in November for delivery today, the 23rd, only to be informed they don't deliver on a Saturday!! Excuse was website shouldn't have accepted delivery for that date. What a joke, they have had over a month and half to sort/rearragne. Got family coming for Xmas dinner, so wife has to head out and try buy some food from the shops!! Will never use Donald Russell again, a 'sorry about that' is not good enough. Seen another similar review, let's hope there is not more disappointed families this Xmas.”
