Frustrating Experience – Repeated Delays and Still No Refund for Data Analysis Level 3 I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel I need to warn others about my experience with e-Careers and their Data Analysis Level 3 course. I enrolled in the course, which was originally due to start on 1st February 2024. It was then delayed to 8th February, then 15th March, and after that, no clear start date at all. Despite these ongoing delays, they kept advertising the course as if it were running normally, which felt misleading. I paid a deposit directly to e-Careers, and made four monthly installment payments through a third-party lender. When the course didn’t go ahead, the lender told me that e-Careers had refunded them only the remaining balance — but I have still not received a refund for the money I already paid (the deposit and the installments I had already covered). e-Careers told me my deposit would be refunded within 5–7 working days, and that deadline is today. I’m now being told there are issues with their portal or that their accounts team is still dealing with it — but no one is giving a clear answer or timeline. What’s most frustrating is that I paid everything on time, yet now that I’m owed money, I’m met with silence and delays. If I had been late on a payment, I know I’d have been chased immediately. I rearranged my life around this course and passed up other free or promising opportunities to commit to this — and I’ve been left with no course, no refund, and no accountability. Based on my experience, I do not recommend e-Careers or their Data Analysis Level 3 course. Be extremely cautious before enrolling or making any payments.

E-careers is big liar company because first they gave me assurance of job after the training and I passed my exam I was told to pay extra £900 so I can be given opportunity for practical experience in a simulated job experience. Before you buy the course the will tell you this is included the course but then they turn around.

DO NOT USE E-CAREERS FOR AAT. The online materials DO NOT WORK! The videos randomly pause and they do not play in sync with the volume. It is ridiculous! I’ve wasted £800 on a course I could have done myself with textbooks. I’ve been told that because it’s not a problem on their end, there’s nothing they can do to help. No refund, no partial refund, just an extension. (An extension to watch frozen videos) The online videos do not play in sync with the sound and it’s impossible to use them. I will be seeking legal advice as I’ve paid for courses I can’t use. I’ve spoken to two members of staff from e-careers countless times and because the issue isn’t on their end, (despite me showing them proof it was on my end) they refuse to do anything. The videos not playing happened on my device, and other devices, households I’ve used it with, so it’s not an issue with wifi (which they’re quick to suggest) Even though most of the course hadn’t been accessed (modules past the first one, I was still not offered a partial refund) I STRONGLY ADVISE ANYONE THINKING OF USING E CAREERS TO NOT USE THEM, for your own sake. Hopefully I can stop somebody wasting £800

I didn’t get as far as signing up for a full course thankfully, on filling out a form a few steps in they asked for my national insurance number…that was it for me, why would I need to provide something very personal so early on and this was for a ‘government funded course’ I could be wrong but looking at other reviews, the good ones, the language and certain words that are used scream scam to me. If advise you go else where like myself

No more cold calling, please, I hate that. You are giving a very bad image of your company by the tone of voice you use and by calling any time regardless of people's personal schedules. Also, your courses are overpriced.

Hi e-careers, I written emails and was told that by sending the cancellation email I should receive the payment in 5 Working days. I need my money back as soon as possible please. As the code would not work and response difficulties over 1 week. Please let me know the process details of the refund.

The cancellations team show no compassion and you can’t speak to anyone on the phone. I had signed up to a level 3 and 4 AAT course but due to medical circumstances I could not continue, I told the team that I understood I had already started the level 3 course so am happy to continue paying however I have not activated nor received any course information for the level 4 but they are offering no options to help. This puts me in an uncomfortable position as I can no longer work and therefore £60 is coming out that I cannot afford. Do not go with this company in case something unexpected happens in your life and they have no care or sympathy unless it’s for money.

Dont buy Cemap course ..i paid nearly £600 as i was promised.. that the book will be condensed,, (as original, cemap, book is over 600 pages long) i was told that the course will make me pass etc. All are fake promises, as the tutor will jist read the book with you thats all. It is impossible to pass it in 5 daya they will say they have a pass rate of higg percentage that is all lies, as there is no credible source. Lot of Trust pilot reviews have been paid and faked.

Signed up, paid a deposit, decided to cancel the course within ten days. Was then chased for the entire payment for course. The Customer Services agent then told me to pay the deposit again, this time directly to E-Careers (although he said kept saying 'him') as this was only way to close the account. This was because the original deposit went to the finance company E-Careers use. Pointed out that E-Careers should collect any deposit from the finance company to close account, and asked why should I have to pay twice? The Customer Services kept pressurising me to pay a second time. Seriously pressuring until I was almost in tears as I didn't want to pay twice. Seemed very much like a scam, especially as I was cancelling because the materials provided were not what was expected (was a hard sell to start with to get me to sign up). In end (after advice from my partner) the I gave the customer service agent the references for the payment made to their finance company and told E-Careers to speak to the finance company to get the deposit to close the account. Awful company to deal with from hard sell for sign up, to then trying to extort money twice.

I'm doing a AAT course with this company at present. First my study material arrived almost a month after signing up. When it did arrive the study material did not match the online text. finally I found the tutors just talk/work through another companies text book. When I start my next year I won't be enrolling with e-careers again.

Absolutely shocking service. Closed my course half way through and then took them a while to re open it, meaning I then lost time in which I had to complete the course. Had issues within the course but the tutor couldn't have been any less helpful, just said to start again - HOW!? When all the information is already loaded into the system, just need help on how to alter them. They just don't want to know, I will now not pass this course as the guidance is abysmal. One of the very first tasks you had to do for the course was a quick test which the tutor is meant to mark, months later this still hasn't been done and certain units of the course can only be accessed when this has been done. WILL NEVER BUY A COURSE FROM THEM AGAIN. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY

Very poor service. The tutor had no lesson plan and did not have a clue what she was doing. Decided to learn myself after 2 days as it was excruciating listening to the tutor. There was an obvious language barrier which added to the poor delivery. Would never use this company again

Dont Risk Your Money With These Hooks! I took two courses all seemed well I was upsold with a laptop which OMG what a waste that was it was a tiny little thing no good for working on thats for sure anyway... I made a start on the first one did not get far at all then I had bad news after bad news and due to commitments I was not able to complete I asked to cancel the one that never started as it had not started so I was fully entitled to a refund but OMG the true hooks come out do they not! I have sent 12 emails and contacted them on online chat multiple times and this has been going on over 30 days they are just hooks they really are. As for the course itself I took AAT level 2 and 3 and for a online provider I would not recommend they do nothing in terms of support I presume it is the bare minimum but due to them not sorting this matter out I will be reporting these to the two regulators for sure and I recommend anyone do the same. IF YOU HAVE ISSUES.... First complain be detailed ask for exact infomation, if they fail to provide issue the with a DSAR google it you can issue this to them via email chat or over the phone following GDPR guidnace this is where they have to provide you with what you ask for such as call transcripts or recordings account notes etc. this then makes it easier for you to pursue and saves you putting it all together. Then you have your options or you can do the first two together If your doing AAT - there is a specialist team you can reach out to AAT quality assurance team google for the email I cant put it on here as the review then may be removed this way it cant. Ombudsman - If you win not only do you get your money back but the possibility of compensation and these get fined just make sure you evidence everything use the full context these give you and document response times and lack of clear transparency in there answers and how each occasion makes you feel. Finally if your in your cooling off period or if the software is glitchy OR if you have not started the course and your over your 14 day initial period Section 75 Chargeback via your bank this is where you contact your bank and reverse the transaction they will ask for evidence and you get your money back these get a admin charge no biggy. Good luck and for anyone else who has had the unpleasant dealings with these cowboys I feel sorry for you. AVOID THESE ROUGUES YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT TV SHOW THESE MIGHT END UP ON..... Yesterday I received a call from a guy in where he tried to forcefully manipulate me on the phone this is not good at all and I will be making sure this is public knowledge of how you treat your customers it’s DISGUSTING!

I purchased an accountancy course with this company and because the internet is so poor where I live the course kept crashing and I was unable to complete it in time. I then purchased an extension but the amount of time allowed was much less then they said. Paid around £1500 and nothing to show for it. Avoid e careers.

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Awful company. Very helpful when trying to take your money but the second they have it, they refuse to help you at all. Told all kinds of lies such as exams are included in the price, was also overcharged, not received any refund, and they just didn’t respond to any complaints I put in with them
