Good efficient service from ordering to delivery. Lengths made to exact size, eliminating waste. Choice of colours to blend with paint on the building. Fast delivery and a very helpful driver. Would definitely use again and recommend.

I love my new ecodeck. I would never have wood decking again after ecodeck. My decking looks good as new all the time and is non slipery in wet weather.

This system looks great and works well with our garden furniture. My only criticism is the binding of the screws when you are laying the boards. In spite of using the drill bit provided the friction generated whilst turning the screws, melts the plastic swarf and binds the screws before they are fully seated. This was cured by unscrewing, removing the melted swarf and rescrewing, sometimes twice! Obviously, this increased the fitting time.

Hi Stephen - many thanks for your feedback. I have raised your comments regarding the screws with our Technical Director who provided the following feedback: 'We get very little negative feedback about our screws, the flight design is complex and incorporates a reverse-thread, this is to ensure that any swarf is taken back down and deposited in the interface between the board and the substrate. It is quite often the case that the support system timbers are made from very fast-grown timber and as such, they can have a low density thus preventing the screw from getting a good purchase in the timber. Consequently the screw is not able to form proper threads and cannot pull itself in sufficiently. We recommend the use of structural grade timbers, namely C16 or C24 which are specifically graded for structural works. These timbers should also be suitably pressure treated so as to ensure they have a similar expected lifespan to the composite decking.' I hope this provides some reassurance, although should you have any further query please do contact us at enquiries@ecodek.co.uk

Very helpful pre-sales. Delivery was very expensive and rather slow. Instructions for construction were very comprehensive and I am delighted with the final result.

The whole experience from the initial order through to delivery was superb. Added to the quality of the product, I would have no hesitation in recommending Ecodek.

The whole process from start to finish was commendable from the quotation stage to delivery and level of finish on the decking section could not be faulted. It was a simple system to fit especially having the full lengths with no cutting. All instructions come with the decking even down to cleaning requirements. Finally I would like to say that the finished decking surface is very impressive and is always remarked by those who see it for the first time.

Excellent product easy to install and looks great. The weathering (a lightening of shade) occurred within a few weeks and is not a problem but if you put furniture on it it does show the difference hopefully this will become uniform with time.

I had purchased ecodek several years ago and was surprised how good it still looked years later. I live in Scotland and as you can imagine the weather can be very extreme here. Ecodek did the job for me and when I decided to do another project I had no hesitation on selecting ecodek again. It is a maintenance free quality product with easy to follow instructions and excellent value for money. With very helpfull ecodek staff as a back up you can't go wrong. I would most definitely recommend this excellent product range. John Graham

Excellent product - non slip and elegant - looks much better than my previous, conventional wood deck. My only criticisms are that the delivery driver left a pallet lying in our road and the Ecodek helpline was not much use when asked about to buying back surplus material - which is still sitting in my garden.

From starting the order to receiving the goods I couldn't fault the service. The staff I spoke to were very knowledgeable and friendly. It was a pleasure dealing with your company.

Looks lovely. My fitter following the instructions to the letter and said it took a little more framework, below, than he has done with wooden decking - but if you're going to do something, then do it well! Take a bit of care with dragging chairs, etc. across it as it does scratch reasonably easy, although not enough to detract from the overall look (it may show more as mine is the dark brown, whereas my sister bought the grey and it's not so apparent) I have now put pads on the bottom of the furniture, Overall I am looking forward to years of enjoying this great deck.

Hi Cheryl - very glad to hear you are happy with your finished project! The scratches you are finding upon moving furniture may only be light surface scratches - once the boards have weathered slightly you shouldn't have a problem. In the meantime - try taking a walnut (not the shell, though!) and rubbing gently over the scratch - the oils will blend the scratch mark back. Just try a little to start with and see how you get one - but be cautious not to be too liberal with the walnut application so as not to introduce a slippery agent on the surface of your boards. Hope the weather is kind this Summer and you have lots of enjoyment on your new garden feature!

Despite serious manufacturing difficulties they worked really hard to get my decking to me in time for the contractors. The product I cannot fault.

Relatively easy to work with, I'd recommend using the ecodeck supplied countersink tool for consistency. The ability to have planks of various lengths is great as it gives the project a really professional finish. Longer planks are considerably heavier than timber planks of similar length.

Very satisfied with the Ecodek decking I received. Hopefully I will now have many years of relatively maintenance free use! A small point the stainless steel decking screws provided are very difficult indeed to remove (I would almost say impossible even!), should the need arise (which it did in a small area) and using the correct tool of course! The "reverse" thread which tightens everything(?) seems to be the issue. Whilst wooden decking can be construed as "disposable;" I should be extremely upset if I ever had to take the same approach with the much more expensive Ecodek. This is especially the case should I just need to replace a single whole length of planking, because replacement would be extremely costly if one includes carriage charges fro a single plank, which I experienced!

The Ecodeck product is workable just like a timber deck product, as a solid you can cut it and modify it just like timber. This is a big advantage over products which are hollow, in the case of making steps and needing to rip along the board length and still have a good edge to the front for the overhang , I dont think hollow products could be used, especially if they have grooves in the edges for hidden fixings. The Ecodeck lengths were virtually straight bit also easily pulled into place. Using a pair of Wolf deck clamps and various spacing blocks helped greatly as I worked alone mostly. I managed to order enough to mean not having to order any extra, which could be important for colour matching. All in all it was easy to work with from an amateur point of view.

This is a great product and the only one where I could specify the length of boards that I wanted to order. I have a small area of decking that is slightly longer than standard board lengths and this has given the the perfect finish and look without any awkward joins. A great contemporary grey to complement my paving and wall edging, it has transformed my garden. The Ecodek screws and countersunk bit are a must and help to give that final finish. Not cheap but worth every penny - love it!
