Long and the short of it bought a car in January for £16k all good excellent salesman happy with purchase. Forward less than 2 months later issue with car phoned Eddie Wrights took car in to be sorted and got it back a week later and with a nice dent on front wing . Well that's where the customer service came to an abrupt end , after more than a week of calling them and getting fobbed off with we'll phone you back never did I must of phoned them a dozen times . So I gave the RAC a ring who the warranty is with turns out they claimed for a window motor on my warranty which wasn't what my car was in for . The RAC are going to investigate it meanwhile I'm seeking legal advice . As they say buyer beware 😏

Wanted to view a car. Thought I would call and reserve said car. The salesman took my cars details and said he has took 200 pound deposit. Bit much when they state reserve for 99 pound. Anyway spoke about the said car was told it had few marks and scratches on it, and that it would be all sorted by there super bodyshop guy. So went to view car omg the car was nothing like what he told me. Granted there was a few scratches and marks on it but the big dent in rear wheel arch and cill you could get your fingers in the gap. Front wings never matched up with bonnet or bumper. Alarm bells ringing now...... The salesman assured me that the car would be as good as new. Took said car for a test drive with my Mrs. Car drove ok But just concerned about the damage on it. Again salesman said it would be put right. He said every car on there site is hpi clear. Still got alarm bells going off in my mind about the car. Something not right with the condition of the car. The car was described with marks and scratches on it. So me and the Mrs left got home and I decided I didn't want the car due to its condition it was in, again something didn't sit right about the car. Spoke with salesman who said point blank I would not get my 200 pound deposit back. Even speaking with the manager of eddie wright's he said the same thing I wouldn't get deposit back. 200 pound is a lot of money to lose 3 weeks before Christmas. So my advice to anybody thinking of buying a car from here be very very careful or better still go round the corner to what was motordepot now carpoint. No pushed or rude obnoxious salesman there. I'm currently in talks with bank to try claim deposit back. Again Avoid eddie wright's as you don't know what you could be buying. They only care about the money So I'm not one to leave bad feedback but this place is a joke !

I bought a SEAT Alhambra in 2021. The sale went through smoothly without any issues. Then the vehicle developed a fault with the DPF about a month later. I called them a few times and each time I was informed that someone would call me back. None of my calls were returned. Eventually I started sending emails as well but received no response. Realizing I was getting nowhere, I launched a section 75 action through my credit card company (I'd paid the car deposit using a Credit Card). To cut the story short, Eddie Wright claimed in their reply to the credit card company that they'd instructed me to send the car to themselves for investigation. I insisted rightfully that they'd said no such thing and in fact had never responded to my calls, emails, etc. Eventually, in the summer of 2022, I had to launch a £5000.00 claim (cost of repairs etc that I'd had to make) in the small claims court. The case was concluded on the 23rd of November 2023, with the court awarding me over £6000 including loss of earnings, interest, and court fees. I am thankful to the courts and the consumer protection laws of our great country. This has not been the best of experiences.

I was warned by friends & neighbours not to purchase from them but gave them the benefit of the dought. They persuaded me to purchase a different car then the one I signed up for saying it had problems & didn't want me coming back & fourth to them with me being a disabled driver. Well i purchased the car they advised & was backwards & forwards many times with different problems but mainly clutch which was repaired many times but still really bad told nothing wrong with it. Also one thing I reported in warranty I was told wasn't covered incorrectly they tried to charge me to have this done they delayed wanting to look at it till warranty ran out so i complained in writing to be told no record of this being reported. I then went to the ombudsman who agreed I had a case. Ombudsman contacted me back to say that Eddie Wrights are not part of the ombudsman scheme (I'm not surprised 😡)so I couldn't do no more.

We bought a car from Eddie Wright in Feb. There was faults with it so after several emails that they initially ignored they agred to check it. A few days later when we went to collect they said nothing wrong with it even though they had not done a diagnostic check. They were off hand and rude. We pursued the matter with the finance company who did do a diagnostic check found faults and decided the car should be rejected . Shame on you Eddie Wright

Shocking customer service. Having bought a £38k Range Rover from them, I find it had so many faults that I had an independent report done on the car. They collected the car from me, only to return it two weeks later in an undrivable condition. [with only two of the many faults fixed] I had to get an independent garage out to get the car going. They haven't replied to my phone calls or emails. Please avoid this company like the plague, unless you have money to throw away. The worst customer experience I have ever had. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

If you don't want to be lied on every step dealing with this company, avoid it like a fire. One of the worst companies I have ever dealt with in the UK (if not in my whole life). I would strongly advise anyone against buying anything from them. I passed my test in 2016 and was going to buy a car. My colleague advised me to buy one from Eddie Wright as that business had something to do with his father, so he told me he would help me to get a better deal. And I regret it so much. Having entered the building at first it looked like a nice atmosphere and friendly staff inside, but later you realise the company is completely filled with lies. It's just soaked with lies from its core and you can discover lying in every small detail of this disgusting company. A sales guy approached me and helped me to choose the car, after that we discussed the deal and my colleague managed to get a low interest rate with them for me. Next week I called them to ask when I could pick the car. He said he was going to give me a callback. I waited for quite a while, then called back myself, he said he tried to call me back but wasn't able to reach me. He obviously lied, but it didn't bother me that much at that point. Next week I took train back to Eddie Wright with my brother to pay the deposite and get my car. After arriving there and reading through the documents I've discovered that they raised the interest rate in there. I asked: "Didn't we agree on X?.." (don't remember the exact number now), "No, we agreed on Y, nice and low" he said (telling me the number that is quite a bit higher that what we had previously agreed on). It still wasn't a bad interest rate per se, but i just find that disgusting that we agreed on one thing, and now that i'd travelled 100 miles he tells me it was something different. I still accepted that (shouldn't have done really, but I really wanted that car, and after travelling that far i decided to just go for that). He also told me that car had a cruise control which it didn't. My name was spelled wrong in the document, I told him about that and he said, never mind they already fixed that (turned out they just spelled it wrong again, just in different way. They didn't even bother trying to spell it correctly). I asked them about vehicle manual. The same sales guy told me that the car doesn't have manual because this is all online now. Another lie by him. (MINI later offered me a manual). He also told me the vehicle was taxed so I could just drive home. Turned out it wasn't taxed (the tax is actually free for the vehicle, but i still had to tax it on the DVLA website, otherwise it's not classified as taxed). I called them few times clarifying the things with the car, as it was my first purchase and I didn't understand how these things work in the UK. Once when I called them they actually laughed at me on the phone (another sales guy -- probably forgot to mute the microphone). I'd also bought gardx from them, but unfortunately forgot my pack on the desk. I called them and asked about that, they told me it's not a problem -- they will send it to me by post. Obviously after all of that I didn't really expect they would. The sales guy I dealt with is probably the greatest lier I've ever met. Sometimes me and my brother joke about him, when something is about lie we say that sales must be involved in that :DD Because he is just the best lier you can find, he probably gets paid for every lie he says 😃 Honestly he was the perfect example of a lier. Everything he was saying was a lie. Few of my relatives bought a car after that and would that have been a company that doesn't treat customers like ..., i might have considered Eddie Wright, but obviously I wouldn't consider that after all the lies i've gone through.

Brilliant place to buy a car from. Glenn has sold me three cars now and we are absolutely delighted with all of them. Cannot praise them enough.

Bought a Ford Focus Navigator in December 2017. Interior was in an appalling state with burns and holes when collected, although promised every blemish would be removed. The computer card took over a month to arrive but doesn't work. Radio doesn't work, CD player doesn't work and the navigation system doesn't work after almost 3 months and 2 return trips costing £30 each in fuel. No response to letter of complaint. I would never use them again and am investigating my customer rights for compensation or replacement.
