“I ordered a range of items for the collection as I needed something for a wedding. The delivery was speedy and I was very impressed indeed. The goods were wrapped beautifully and everything was there. Despite measuring myself carefully some of the items did not fit and all of the length of the sleeves were too long. I bought one jacket and have altered the sleeves. The clothes were good quality for the price, One item was marked and I telephoned straight away to ensure I would not be charged for faulty goods. All in all I could not complain either about the online experience or most of the goods delivered. The problems arose when I wanted to return the goods. First of all is it appropriate to ask people to print out their own reply slip? I never print things out these days so I had to but a new cartridge. If I was someone who did not use the internet and could not replace a cartridge like my mother I would have been at a loss! I had not realised that I would have to pay for returns. Many companies do not charge for returns. It cost me nearly £20 to send the parcel back as I had to have it tracked etc. and because there were sale goods inside it had to be within 14 days! So, I bought a reduced jacket and in the end and the cost of postage was the nearly the same as the jacket. I will not be ordering online from Elvi again.”

“Great well made clothes, have purchased Elvi items for years. Prompt delivery frequently only two days for standard orders. I would like to see a wider colour range but the styles are appropriate for the size range covered. I rarely return anything. Not sure the website always does the clothes justice they are frequently even nicer than I expected from the pictures. Would like more elegant evening wear styles.”

“The website is excellent as ever and is easy to use. I meant to send something back but found the return process awkward as it meant finding a shop which would accept the parcel and there wasn't one nearby. In the end I kept the item.”

“I have brought ELVI clothes for a number of years now, and have always been impressed with style and quality. Must admit have brought mostly from Chelmsford store who are very helpful and knowledgeable, but have just started using the internet to buy things and very pleased with the quick service etc.”

“I love this dress it's great for the autumn/winter. It's a decent length but I like wearing it with leggings and boots. It's quite a slinky material, but also quite thick so it's nice and warm if you wear it with a cardi and a chunky scarf. I don't think it's quite worth the high price ticket - so I'm glad I got it on sale!”

“Quality of my purchase was excellent and customer service very helpful when I rang and asked for advice on sizing. My only complaint is that there are so few Elvi shops to look in! I recently travelled to Cheltenham only to find that one closed. I have no idea where my nearest shop is now. (I live in Plymouth and so miss your shop there). I would like to visit the shop to have more confidence in choosing the correct sizing.”

“I have always enjoyed shopping with Elvi. I am rather worried that the recent designs of clothes are being geared to younger women as the clothes have been much shorter and more fitted. This does not always suit older and or larger ladies, who prefer their legs covered a bit more, and also like a bit of breathing space in the dresses. Please do not change too much.”

“I think the new return policy,i.e. using a local shop to return unwanted items,is excellent.Would like repayment made sooner.... I always have to phone and ask when it is to be made because I haven't received it.”
