Very slow inexperienced staff. They use trainees for the bulk of the work who don't know what they are doing. You then have to wait in turn for a qualified person to sign off everything which slows down the whole conveyencing process.

AWFUL COMPANY. Slow, difficult and will ultimately cost you money. Forced to use as part of a remortgage with Santander with plenty of time before our existing mortgage ran out. Due to Enact using a third party search agent, the searches were not returned in time and so completion was dragged out costing us thousands in variable rate interest. Against our Solicitors advice, they also insisted on additional insurance policies be put in place against our property before the remortgage could happen, which they also added an over inflated administration charge onto. And then following a formal complaint, they just brushed it all off saying they were not at fault, without actually giving any evidence as to why they were not at fault. STAY WELL AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS THEY JUST WILL COST YOU MORE MONEY

ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING EXPERIENCE. They have held our passports for over 1 month!!!!!! Been fobbed off on EVERY call, no call backs from 'superiors'. Nothing followed up or written down on notes properly. LUCKILY we screenshot everything for proof. From start to finish they messed up our mortgage from listing it to the WRONG department to sending over and over again paperwork to fill out. AWFUL DO NOT USE. AND DONT THINK YOULL GET A MORTGAGE quick out of these guys even with how HARD it is to get a mortgage these days.

My solicitor needs to speak direct to Enact to confirm porting of mortgage but can't get through direct to a solicitor at ENACT and not replying to e mails and switchboard telephone system inept seems we are in a position no of our buyer pulling out of the sale due to lack of communication between Nationwide, ENACT and confirmation from Enact, three months have passed since mortgage port was agreed by Nationwide

They have caused our chain to wait on them for three weeks now... Everyone else is ready to exchange. They do not respond for days on end and when they do it’s with another (seemingly unnecessary) hoop to jump through. Agree with review that said to avoid st all costs.

Absolute useless. Cancelled app for no reason then had to reopen and complete paperwork again! Then claim they are waiting for mortgage company to respond to them but was sent response and chaser a month ago!! No one knows what they’re doing and can’t ever speak to anyone, just the help desk who will pass on a message. Avoid at all costs!

A conglomerate of cowboys that need to be avoided at any costs; Sort by bad reviews first here and other sites and you will see countless experiences like ours: inept service, countless emails and calls, lost documents that all lead up to our redemption figures being lost and mortgages going into SVR and costing you money out of pocket. This company needs to be reported on a more formal level, which we will now be pursuing. Avoid at all costs.

It was so easy and simple, The online checker was so easy i could see me progress every step of the way. Any documents that had to be sent was easy and im not the best with technology. It did not take as long as i thought it would. would recommend to any one.

They completely wasted our time, took days sometimes weeks to respond to communication, massively delayed the process and lost us a potential buyer. All the other reviews speak for themselves, someone please close this junk outfit down for the sake of others

Enact conveyancing have been simply incompetent dealing with my re-mortgage. Badly trained staff sending incorrect information throughout the process and providing little communication (and poor communication when it does occur). I would stay clear in future!

My re-mortgage was delayed and nobody contacted me or dealt with it until I called them and asked if the completion is happening - only then they started to check and it occurred some things needed to be done to proceed. I needed to the the follow ups on that. It was the last day before the planned date of completion....I wrote that I ll be placing written complaint why nobody was contacting me before. Once I stated I ll raise the written complaint they started calling me several times and trying to push to deal with all via phone. It was not good experience to me. As I wrote the complaint they answered that they did all according to the process and acknowledged my complaint. They didn't refer in their answer to my questions: why they started to work on my case only after my call and why they were bothering me several times via phone to solve the complaint once I told clearly I want to raise written complaint. Overall- very unpleasant cooperation. My impression is they are overloaded with work and not capable to deliver good service. I have the feeling that I did a peace of work for them but they took the money that....this is poor service

If you have a bog standard remortgage then maybe it’s worth taking the risk with enact as that part of dealing with them was okay-ish. However if you are doing anything else porting a mortgage/ transfer of equity or god forbid purchasing a property with enact I would advise against it. I have had to liaise with land registry myself due to their negligence, turns out enact sent through an empty letter twice which meant I am still waiting to complete on another property, bear in mind at this point numerous phone calls had been made to enact who all along blamed land registry for the delay. Avoid if you can !

Avoid at all costs. Been waiting for over 2 weeks for a cheque to be sent which I’m owed from enact. I have called 7 times with limited customer service. Sales team have no queue on phone line yet remortgage do not answer which is telling.

Enact Conveyancing failed to notice the boundary plan on my house purchase was incorrect. Despite the property information form clearly stating the purchase included a garage and further parking they somehow made a monumental mistake and proceeded to complete without noticing. When I sold the property this issue came to light. They admitted their mistake and assured me I would be put back into the position I would have been had they not made this mistake. This transpired to not true, I am very much out of pocket. They advised an indemnity policy which both my buyers and my solicitor objected to instantly. I would add that I had a qualified conveyancing solicitor as did my buyer, not just a conveyancer as Enact were. It was insinuated it was my solicitors fault which I vehemently objected to. ** A conveyancer is cheaper for a reason. They are not conveyancing solicitors and are not regulated by the Law Society. Please choose wisely as many people do not know the difference until negligence arises ** I asked Enact to cover the deduction. They refused. I pleaded for help but it fell on deaf ears. I wasn’t able to complete on my onward purchase due to the loss in value of my sale property - this loss the direct consequence of Enact Conveyancing. In time I asked Enact for their insurance details so I could claim for just my losses and avoid legal costs. They wouldn’t provide them. I had no choice but to proceed with the use of a solicitor. Again I slipped up with who I chose initially but when I came across Robert Johnson of Healys, London my situation changed instantly. He dealt with my claim and, in my opinion, Enact were floundering and no match for Robert. Both Robert Johnson and his firm Healys were nothing short of brilliant. Whilst I won my claim I am most certainly not in the position I would have been had Enact not made this mistake. Far from it. I have learned a lot during the whole process and will never be put in this position again. Please learn from my experience and do not use Enact Conveyancing. If your lender insists then show them this review. I am liaising with all lenders that partner with Enact and have just shared my correspondence with them. I hope they choose more wisely who they partner with once they read my paperwork. It isn’t a matter of never making a mistake, no one is infallible. But it’s a case of how their mistake is handled. It is my opinion that Enact were unnecessarily callous and unco-operative towards me.

Disgusting, incompetent company. Been waiting for weeks to complete and they keep prolonging it and not releasing the funds. Surely they should be investigated for their incompetence.
