“I think the platform is good and have no complaints or major complaints. I think the trading platform is straight forward to use but it falls behind the quality and functionality offerred by E-Signal which in my opinion is streets ahead of everyone else. I have a small concern in that I learned that all trade orders placed go through a trading desk rather than a deskless direct system. It is possible that this factor is a speed disadvantage compared to other platforms that are direct.”

“Overall I have found the platform to be really good. It is visually appealing and I very seldom get freezes. I have only ever experienced one mistake on my account. The iPhone Application however is not as good and I have experienced multiple freezes using this however it appears to be improving.”

“Hi I have had an account with ETX for over 2 years, and really enjoy competive spreads, small minimum dealing costs on markets, such as FTSE for 50p a pip and Gold trading for 10p a pip. A Great way to learn trading the financial markets without losing your shirt. I also enjoy the competitions on Facebook. Keep up the good work. Anthony Trader from Walsall, England”

“In March I grew my account by 27%. In April I reversed this and it wasn't helped because I noticed that ETXCapital were slipping my trades, particularly during NFP when they slipped my trade by a massive 40 pips when the stop was 10! I feel my broker is now working against me even if in April I tried the same strategy but not moving my stop to zero after quickly after getting into the trade. Regarding the unusually large slippage which even a competitor platform said was excessive (they said 5-10 max slippage even during NFP), this indicates that ETX on this occasion didn't have access to enough liquidity providers or didn't have fast enough servers to get me out of the trade. I feel I can't trust a platform that has this much slippage and Lucian Gladstone just brushed off my concerns. If I feel undervalued, I will obviously go elsewhere.”

“The Charts are RUBBISH ! High / Low and the trading is what "might" have happened if trades were executed. ETX is bit of "fun" but not for a serious trader. Even the ETX staff use Bloomberg charts ! Spreads change for no apparent reason, especially when there as been no movement for minutes, then as a trade is placed the spread changes, then returns a few seconds later. I live in remote countryside, no newspapers, no telegraph crossword. ETX is ok for the Coffee Break. Roy.”

“1) Because different strategies some times require a trader to have a Buy or Sell on at the same time as an opposing Buy or Sell, it would be helpful to be able to have this ability on your normal platform not just MT4 which is too much money when your starting out. 2) A few of us were talking about an issue where we put a number in Quantity or in Stop Loss pips and when we finish entering everything, somewhere along the line it changes the number. I thought it was just me being stupid and making a mistake, however, I came across 3 other people in my class in the same day that this was happening to, and we all agree, there seems to be some kind of a glitch. 3) You don't give support for Demo users, however, in order to move to a live platform, if something like number 2 happens or a mistake is made and you can't work out what you did wrong, it really is necessary for learning and confidence to move across to real money for feedback from the support team. 4) I am learning to trade Forex, Indices and Commodities primarily. I want to trade the Russel and the Dax but the spread is just way to big and prevents me from trading it. It would be great if the cost of this could be reassessed. 5) I don't have and never have had an iPad, so it would be really nice to be given one.”

“Hi I ve been trading with etx for about 3.5 years and i would say over all my experience has been good , They always deal with my enquiries in a reasonable amount of time . execution of trades is usually good except around non farm payrolls and other big news events , when my friends and i feel we either cant get in or out of trades in a reasonable time and we now use our accounts with fxcm and iron fx to trade these times , And also if we feel we are going to be in a trade for a long time we would not use etx as the roll charges are a lot more expensive than fxcm . regards gavin seale”

“1. On the iPhone app... When you are trying to add a stop or limit order to an open position, the number keeps jumping to a market level, ie you need to be very quick to type your desired levels. 2. I haven't used it but the CMCmarkets platform has two features I really want to check out. One is a sentiment gauge that tells users the net longs and shorts on a security. The other is a pattern recognition scanner, eg looking for ascending triangles, etc. would be great if you could incorporate any of this. I am a qualified technical analyst and would be happy to provide further feedback or assist with anything going forward. I am a fan and promoter of your platform. Thanks”
