The whe divorce lasted nearly 5 yrs. Every step of the process went wrong with continued delays from court and solicitor. I felt pushed into just accepting the any decision with no regard to whether it was fair or not. At times i felt that my solicitor was working for the other side. For me a very very poor experience. Would never recommended Woolley & Co.

Quyen Trickett like to spend client money for no good reason and seems to ignore Court orders when she feels like it, has cost my ex-wife a fortune in legal fees and takes forever to respond to request from other solicitor and seems to require a banister for everything

The whole divorce proceeding was made worse by using Wooley and Co Ltd. Only point of contact is by email which has a sporadic reply time, sometimes a week, not what you expect when you are being charged for a reply. Even worse if your solicitor decides to call you off their own back and you get charged five times as much. I had to suspend divorce proceedings as I had been diagnosed with cancer, Wooley and Co fabricated a bill for over £2k. I’m guessing that they had to milk the cash cow while they could. I am not divorced, have an arduous journey to recover my health, and so far, Wooley and Co have charged over £6000, if I wasn’t paying the bill it would be almost laughable. Use Wooley and Co at your own peril!

Awful service, wrong information passed on, I felt Abby had no idea about legal process and often got it wrong. This drew the court situation out months longer than it needed to and caused me considerable stress and expense. Avoid like the plague.

As an expat I needed to conduct my divorce online. The divorce process was easy and swift and I appreciated the set fee rather than be left unknowing as to how much fees could or would build up otherwise. Fortunately my ex and I were incredibly amicable which meant that our divorce went through very quickly. The reason for removing two stars is that £500 of my up front payment was for drawing up a financial final agreement between both parties, which should have been simple since we were both in full agreement from the time we hired Davina from Woolley & Co. since neither party heard again, I chased Woolleys twice but never heard back. I have now been remarried for over three years and just received notification that a cheque the firm supposedly sent (neither of us received it) had not been cashed. This refund was for £45.i queried the £500 final financial agreement we paid for and never received and was told they had drafted it so the money is lost. Very strange that neither of us ever received said such document and despite chasing them twice about it, we still never received the document to sign. So we paid £500 for a document that no one received to sign and they never thought to query why they hadn’t received it back if they had sent it. Strange. I’m happy with the speed of the divorce but would advise to be cautious when other elements of a separate come in to play.

All along they were trying to get me to pay more than what I paid for a basic divorce. Finally, I paid some more for advice on how to handle the financial part, but then explained that I couldn't pay for it any longer. When I sent an email about where I was with everything pertaining to the divorce, and as a way to explain why it was on hold because my x was dithering on the financial settlement details...I was charged by Woolley & Co. again just because I spoke about the finances in the email. Added to that, my solicitor was quite rude at times, especially when I confronted her about the extra charges. She and Co. even took the time and effort to go through all the exchanges and "investigate" my claims of overcharging, only to tell me that they were right and I was wrong, and in fact they should have charged me more. Such poor customer service I have never seen from a law firm. My solicitor was also frequently very late in her reply's. Lastly, and this is the cream of the crop, my divorce was final in May 2020 but my solicitor just let me know in February 2021!

I literally paid £1200 for something I had already sorted out and was made use of by this law firm. I literally paid this amount for one application that was sent by the solicitor handling my case to the concerned court and few emails between us. Our initial agreement was to apply for a divorce and after a year of communication back and forth(almost) and a loss of £1200, I still stand where I was to start with. The create a web of legal terms around you that, as a common man, you have no clue of and then strangulate you with it. When it came to actually applying for divorce, i was given an estimate up to £12000. Basically, I threw my £1200 down the Thames.

If you want an overpriced solicitor with very poor skills choose this firm. You hire them and they give you an inexperienced person who finds it difficult to string a sentence together. Very disappointed and would never use them again.

The solicitor was not personally responsive to me, did not wish to meet with me, wanted to conduct everything by email and appeared very slow in following up the whole process. The financial order which he suggested was required at the outset was ultimately a waste of time, and he didn't seem to chase up the other side for swift responses. My divorce had been in train for nearly 2 years, and is still not absolutely complete, despite now having reached decree absolute. It has also reached a total of thousands of pounds in costs. It even cost me personally another £70 to take advice about whether to change your firm to another solicitor's as I was so unhappy with your representative's lack of response.. I was recommended to you via my union, UNISON and will be advising them I did not find the service from Woolley's cost effective, timely or satisfactory. Yours, Alison Billett

Took advice re divorce or annulment was told divorce would be quicker and cheaper even though I presented the solicitor with a letter from my then wife sating she would not oppose divorce or annulment as she admitted none consumation and would never consumate the marriage. I accepted the advice re divorce and that went smoothly, however the financial settlement was a different matter costing some £15k. I wanted to settle matters with my ex wife but the process I felt was drawn out unnecessarily knowing thw amount of funds I had available. Everytime I wanted to make a financial offer to my ex wife I was advised to wait the recommendations from the Judge. In the end at the second court hearing I made an offer which was accepted prior to seeing the Judge for the second hearing. I feel this could have been achieved without any court hearing and saving me a considerable amount of expense. Felt in hindsight that solicitor was fee chasing not trying to achieve a settlement.

It has taken over 2 years for my divorce to come through, in addition to this I still haven't had the consent order completed despite me doing the chasing, and now your firm have increased the original quote to above the maximum stated by your solicitor.

I had a really terrible experience some years ago with a solicitor Shahzia. I didn’t get any insight on the legal process. I felt like I had an inexperienced secretary whose main skill was to overcharge me at every point. As a vulnerable single mother of a new born I needed an experienced lawyer who would give me good insight into the legal process. I didn’t get any of that at all. I was desperate to settle due to the lack of legal support and knowledge available to me and got a poor outcome for myself. After this poor settlement consent order was finalised I hired a paralegal for further work and at £200 I got a ton more value that for the £25000 + that was fleeced for me by this company. I complained too which fell on deaf years. Anyway buyer beware. I’ve hires solicitors since for other work and had experiences that were infinitely better

I am not a native English speaker and I am not educated about the legal system in this country. Karen Agnew Griffith took advantage of my situation as I was desperate to protect my children from an abuser partner who was already convicted. She charged me thousands of pounds with no outcome. I was even about to lose the house as she did not mention about the land registry which would cost me less than 100 pounds. Her only aim is to make money by not working towards a concrete solution. Avoid her!

Please don't use. As their customer this company failed to help me get my belongings back after they were already agreed by not making sure that this was included in the court order. These so called professionals have left me out of pocket by about £4.000 and I've had to pay for the privilege.

I won't forget the day I first met Kimberley to discuss my divorce. My head was all over the place, I was confused and really didn't know what to do. You put my mind at ease immediately and I left the meeting feeling 100% more confident and clear headed. If anyone ever thinks they want to try and save a bit of money and not use a family lawyer when things aren't straight forward then they're wrong. It helped me think straight and get on with the important things like keeping my job going, looking after my children, moving house and leaving the legal stuff to you. I felt like I was in good hands. My wife thought that she could dictate every aspect of our divorce and when she received the first corresponce from you it was like a shot across the bow. She knew I was in good hands and backed off. The divorce is now complete but the most important thing is that our children are really happy living between the two of us whilst we can move on with our lives. Thanks so much for all you've done.
