“All meat ordered (except last order of diced lamb) has been excellent. There have also been three order mix ups but rectified immediately. Last lamb order was poor with tiny, scraggy bits of lamb, but this has been the only poor order.”

“Chicken, duck (duck legs to make confit) and pork (roast) are perfect. One cannot fail to get a perfect roast with meat of this quality. Steaks are full of flavour, my only complaint (=4/5) is that they have a lot of fat (sometimes up to 1/3 of the cut). Yes, the fat tastes great but I dont want to eat that much and it gets fed to birds. Can you offer some steak cuts with fat trimmed off for those of us trying to avoid too much fat?”

“The meat is wonderful.The service fabulous.My only disappointment was the ready meals .It is a personal taste review but they are far far too sweet for us,especially the lamb hotspot.We like our mains savoury not sweet,but as stated it’s a personal taste review.”

“The meat supplied is second to none. The best tasting online products, well packed and insulated, delivered on time. My only disappointment was the salt brisket I ordered for St Patrick’s Day—far too salty even after recommended soaking.”

“The hamper arrived on time and the meat was beautifully packed. The sausages were out of this world, so delicious, as was the pork. I've never tasted such lovely pork and the chicken was lovely too. The beef, however, was disappointing. It was carefully cooked but tough (no, not overcooked), and lacking in flavour. Would prefer to give 4.5 stars as everything else was great. Thank you! (In response to one of your questions below, the delivery took over 7 days, but that was because if was for a birthday and I placed the order early for a specific day. All good with the delivery).”

“Excellent delivery, packaging, etc. The sausages and chicken were delicious, however, i was personally disappointed in the lamb skewers. Mine were tough, but no-one else in the family complained, in fact they said the opposite, so that piece might have got overcooked.”

“I loved my Farmison order. I've had a few of them. The quality is great and there's lots of choice. The only downside is the packaging. I can't recycle polystyrene so a lot of the packaging goes to landfill.”

“Very good quality meat, great flavour. It would be 5 stars except the packaging includes a huge polystyrene box, other online butchers use cardboard, foil bubble liner, using much less material and the same number of freezer blocks.”

“The initial order was not complete rang customer service and the issue was sorted straight away hence 4 Stars the meat is very good the flat iron steaks being my favourite and difficult to get a butchers near me placed a second order all was good and th we c C quality of meat and price great”

“The quality and taste of the beef cuts - 3 T-bones and a pack of two flat-iron steaks - were second to none. However, trying to trace the source of the animal and the butcher using the labels on the packs was very difficult - there does not seem to be an easily accessible unified database as to where it was raised and where it was butchered. In particular I would like to have the comfort that there were no religious practices involved in the slaughter not only unstunned slaughter but also any prayers issued even if stunned because as a discerning meat buyer and antitheist this information is important to me. Other suppliers provide this. Meat, packing and delivery excellent, tracing poor.”
