“Fast delivery, reasonable prices. I got 2x Jun Scoby, 2x Organic Gunpowder Green Tea and 2x Organic Wildflower Honey. If you did not know Jun is made with Green Tea and Honey not Black tea and sugar.
I use Star San to sanitize everything. Boiled 2 letters of water and put in my stainless steel mixing bowl added the 2 packs in a muslim bag and steeped for 15 min. While steeping I placed both honey packets in a gallon bottle of hot water to pore easer. After 15 min steep I drained the tea then added the honey and mixed well. Then added 1 gallon of cold water from my water cooler and enough filtered water to make a total of 1.5 gallons to the mix well. Check the temperature It should be less than 80F then add both scoby packets and lightly stir then add enough filtered water to bring it about 3 inches for the top of the 2 gallon jar. At this point I took a specific gravity reading and got 1.025.
Tasted it on the 3rd day and it tasted good. Sweet honey and green tea flavor but not tart so needs a cupple more day then will check the SG and check for tartness.”

“Roses: As someone who generally has a cooler house temperature, the kombucha fermentation mat was a great solution for boosting the temperature of my milk kefir. I appreciated that there are different methods to boost or reduce the heat. Wrapping it tightly around my jar was a bit TOO warm for my kefir, so having it loose with some space created just the right temp for my (billions) of new "friends" to thrive. (Now we just have to name them all.) 🤣
Thorns: If I had a small criticism, I would say that I almost passed on this at first because of the name, (thinking it was ONLY for kombucha.) ONLY when I luckily caught that "milk kefir" was included in the small product description I ended up purchasing it. It would have appealed to me faster with a more "inclusive" name, like "Fermentation/Brewing Heat Mat" covering more bases of what all this is able to heat!
