“On the whole I find the hull trains service very useful for my journeys to and from Hull to London which is a regular route for me. One minor comment, I had a problem with chewing gum on the seat London-Hull on 6th July. Reported it to train manager but no response Bill Lart 01472 252323”
“I have been using Hull trains to travel between Kings cross and Hull for the past 4.5years during this time the service has been very punctual , the staff have always been polite and the catering services have been excellent - I have nothing but praise , well done Hull trains.”

“The Hull Trains experience for me has always been a very good one. I normally travel 1st Class and the level of service is always very good. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The trains however are getting a bit tired now and they shake and rattle a lot at speed.

“My experience of using Hull Trains has been very good. They run to time and I always use them when travelling to London. The staff are helpful and polite. The cafe is as good (or better) as any other provider and the trains and toilets are clean. The advance bookings give excellent value for money. Occasionally I use first class which is very good.
The service has now been developed and runs from Beverley. It would be useful to me if it stopped at Cottingham.”
“I have been using Hull Trains since its earliest days, when it had short trains of just three coaches, capable of only 100mph, and ran only two or three services per day. This small, limited, and local nature made the HT service a very friendly, pleasurable and good-humoured experience, and since I travelled weekly to London, I got to know all the onboard staff quite well.
Since those early days, HT has greatly increased the frequency of its service, and upgraded to high-speed 125mph trains with more carriages of increased capacity. Despite this considerable expansion, the onboard staff have not lost that earlier feeling of the HT service. It's still as friendly and pleasurable an experience to travel with HT as it was in those earliest days. So well done HT! - and keep up those excellent, friendly standards.
I look forward to many more pleasurable journeys with HT, especially since HT has extended the service to Beverley, thereby demonstrating its commitment to increasing customer service and convenience. Once again, well done!”

“Although Hull Trains offered the cheapest ticket open-ended day ticket to London from Grantham, I had no idea that I would have to leave London by 20.30 that evening. I looked up train times that morning (NB - on the Hull Trains website!!), there was no mention anywhere that the last Hull Trains train back would be at 20.30. It listed all the trains that would be leaving Kings Cross that night. Obviously the ticket only allows you to travel on Hull Trains. So I rock up at Kings Cross Station shortly after 21.00, only to be told that my last train had gone and I would have to buy a Virgin ticket at vast expense. To say that I was upset was an understatement. I was pregnant, emotional, alone and obviously had no choice but to cough up. Seriously unimpressed!!!! I will NEVER use Hull Trains again.”
