“Train on time and clean, staff were polite and helpful.
I would like to make a suggestion. We travelled first class so were entitled to a breakfast. Because there were 3 of us, all vegetarian on both outbound and inbound journeys, we were told on both occasions 'oh we never have that many vegetarian breakfasts'. We were offered a pannini instead, but got one breakfast sandwich going to London (only because another vegetarian traveller offered to swap) and two on the return journey.
Surely if you asked on the booking form about dietary requirements, your passengers could have the meal they wanted.”

“Great direct service on the Kings Cross/Howden route with Hull Trains being by far the quickest operator. Trains are always clean and tidy, and in my experience, punctual. The price has risen sharply over the past few years and while it is probably still good value for money, the advance fares seem more difficult than ever to get hold of. This is clearly a very popular service, and I was pleased to see a Friday night service with double the usual number of carriages the last time I travelled, a clear appreciation of the demand from passengers to travel on this route.”

“My experience of using Hull Trains has been very good. They run to time and I always use them when travelling to London. The staff are helpful and polite. The cafe is as good (or better) as any other provider and the trains and toilets are clean. The advance bookings give excellent value for money. Occasionally I use first class which is very good.
The service has now been developed and runs from Beverley. It would be useful to me if it stopped at Cottingham.”

This week, I travelled up to Hull from Kings Cross on the 11.48 train. I received a very good service in the first class carriage from the staff who were very friendly and helpful.
On my last trip to Hull from London I also travelled first class but unfortunately I did not receive the politeness that is the usual standard. The waitress was rude and told me she didn't have time to wait for me to put the tea bag in the cup before she poured the water in.
I think you might have had complaints from other customers about this person as I do not see her featured in the latest copy of Looking Forward. Maybe she has now left her job.
The service is well operated and I have never been delayed.
