“First port are a terrible management company that completely rip people off, leaving residents powerless! They have made minimal effort on our development, argue about areas they don't want to look after which are under their responsibility. Provided a lacking play area for our children which has been out of use multiple times due to it's poor and dangerous design.
They employee gardeners to look after the very front of the development hiding the fact that everything else is completely neglected, meanwhile, continue to ramp up the prices for all our residents.”
“If I could give negative I would!
The worst every estate managements. The one at Hendon Waterside are the worst. The regional manager Catherine Laslett needs to be sacked! The new facilities manager Daniel Leonardi is a pompous and arrogant individual who thinks the sun shines from his back side. Useless people who do nothing for the development. Costs are increasing and this stupid company are just sitting on on money!! They forget where their salary comes from!! Join the fb group to fight against them!!”
“Saving energy and money
Three years ago, together with our development manager we made significant headway investigating the use of solar panels to save energy bills and reduce our carbon footprint.
Now faced with a combination of bureaucratic obstacles from our landlord and Firstport's voting requirements, we need your support to move forward
Save money!
So, we would love you to check the 'Count me in' box in the upcoming Homewalk Herald and return it to a committee member.”
“Very bad service: there is a leak damage on my ceiling caused by my neighbor and the property management and concierge are keeping ignoring this issue and my emails for 1,5 years! Simply Scandalous.”
“Awful, greedy, incompetent company.
Looks likely that a whole chain of sales will fall through because FirstPort does not reply to solicitors, estate agents or customers. They take money for a service, then do not provide it. Avoid this company”
“How are they even legal??? They charge extraordinary fees, but don't action any services. Their invoices are very vague, charging £1000s, doing nothing.”
“I have been fortunate enough to get connected to Tom Bray in the Property Transfer Team when contacting First Port. At a very stressful time selling my property he has been incredibly helpful following through on issues and accelerating a responseI when necessary with patience and kindness. I'm extremely grateful to Tom for his help and looking at the majority of other reviews which are so unfavourable consider First Port very luck to have him on board!”
“We make complaints to Firstport but are either ignored or Bullied. Our D/M continues to talk about her own personal problems. We the vulnerable, elderly aged 80 plus are not here to support a D/M. who continually cries when not able to cope.
The first hour or longer every day the D/M spends drinking coffee in the residents lounge gossiping with the cleaner. Many residents take to cleaning their own corridors, lift, front door entrance etc, we feel ashamed of the filth. Numerous notices displayed on a daily basis. Are we small children. Do we need 3 notices on one fire door telling us that, it is a fire door? One is suffice. INDEPENDENT LIVING it is not. Your independence is taken away. It is "Elder Abuse" and we are contacting the social services "Safe Guarding Officer" for mental cruelty imposed.”
“Firstport are not undertaking any maintenance in the gardens near our freehold property. They have increased all charges in a very opaque way. These maintenance and leasehold contracts need Government intervention. Totally unfair - especially when the contracted work is not being done. No wonder people are angry.”
“Terrible company charging extortionate yearly maintenance charge on our flat, then demanding that you pay in half yearly payments. Really bad service from a very poor company!!”
“Don't get any property issues resolved
Don't do what they promise
Designated property manager does not answer her phone and messages and emails go unanswered”
“Dreadful company, I have a property manager that lies, they don't reply to emails or reply to their own complaints procedure, one of their scams is to not to send out the second half year bill, instead sending out a reminder 5 weeks late then sending a £85 admin charge for late payment, if you then refuse to pay you get another admin charge followed by solicitor fees, the sooner this new government overhaul the leasehold / freehold laws and force the transfer of the freehold to the leaseholders who can then end the contract with bad management companies like Firstport, otherwise there's no hope of fixing the housing issues in this country.”
“Extremely poorly managed company with policies to cheat the property owners. The complain department is a joke, they lie, misrepresent fact, threaten the land lords. The complaint officers are clues, just their to keep a job and cover their mistakes, has no understanding and does not read customer complains, states incorrect information. This company needs to be investigated for so many wrong doings and so many customer complaining about them”
“Tried for 3 weeks now to speak to the manager for our flats no response
They have stopped doing any work on our estate garden now looks like a jungle
Legalised robbers”
“A truly dreadful experience. We have had to endure First Port (previously Blenheim Property Management) for 2 years. Their property managers position has been changed at least three times in this period as the individuals have left seeking better employment elsewhere. No continuity, almost no communication, faceless and very unreliable. Fortunately we have finally decided to ditch them and replaced them with a local independent company who gives a damn. Elliot Terrace, Plymouth.”
“This is just an absolutely disgraceful company, if that is even a legitimate label - they are essentially fraudulent criminals, just making up charges. Please can someone report them to Police ASAP.”
“Everything! Still waiting for a leak into our property from a balcony above. Put a note under the door they said, get in contact that way. Sort it out between leaseholders - property above is empty, our property is tenanted, had no contact details. It’s 5 months ago the leak started and still persists. They are absolutely appalling, I now have 3 properties in different parts of the country, managed by them, they need to be deregistered or whatever and put out of business. Charge the earth and do NOTHING!”
