Xmas 2016 my son bought me a tablet – wow – clearly I wanted to insure it so so searched and eventually found gadget cover Got cover for theft and loss and damage for £49.90 great Well they increased the cover cost to £60 and then £65 but ok Then Nov 2019 found a crack in the screen and advised Gadget Cover - Supercover Insurance Ltd who asked for a receipt I contacted my son who looked around then emailed John Lewis a request for the receipt They returned with a copy of the receipt which he forwarded to me and I forwarded that to Supercover Insurance Ltd, who by the way without my ken had cancelled the policy for this year but ok I was still covered last november and by the way have already bought one and half new tablet with the policy cover costs Supercover Insurance Ltd I am informed by the outsourced team DDI’s dealing with the insurance cover now want a copy of my son’s birth certificate proving we are related .. ?? And I cannot believe that I almost agreed and then thought about it and wait … birth certificate ..? are you kidding So I am arguing the point They now claim and I have a record of this that the company Gadget Cover is only for items you personally have purchased or which have been given as gift .. I say how much evidence that my boy sends me a receipt from John Lewis that he gave it to me.. and they said but you are not related and I ask what is that to do with price of eggs (even though we are related and I have the scars to prove it) but he might have given it as a gift to any one an old girlfriend .. are you saying that people can only give gifts to their mothers? This is an interesting conversation to have with John Lewis .. this company will only cover items given to mothers by sons...

Would rate them at zero if this was an option! Sent my phone to MMI the shambles of a company they use to 'repair' our iphone! What a joke came back in exactly the same condition (microphone not working) as when it was sent out. Now 3 months later, 3 genius reports later which all have said phone cannot be repaired and needs replacing. They are asking for it back to 'fix' it again!! I cannot stress how frustrated I am without writing a load of expletives!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID at any cost!!!!

Don't do it!! This is a terrible company to deal with. I felt completely railroaded while on the phone to the operatives and when I asked to speak to a manager to make a complaint they were dismissive and rude, basically saying no and putting the phone down. I was so angry and upset after dealing with them, I would honestly say look at other companies who will actually look after you, father then looking for ways to not pay you..

All in all it took 2 weeks for me to receive a replacement phone - is that good?? I claimed for my rose gold 64GB iPhone following water damage and completed this approx 13th May 2017. The claims process itself was straight forward and Gadgetcover called me twice to follow up. Vodafone sent me my proof of purchase in 2 days. MMI services (who actually do the repairs or deem it unrepairable) send you a login to track the claim on their website - simple enough! I had to package and post the phone myself to MMI via courier which I did and included the original iPhone box. MMI updated me via their website when the device was received. We then moved to diagnosing the phone. This is the longest part, the 'diagnosing device'. Once diagnosed, I then received an update advising that a device had been despatched to my address via DPD - whose service is fantastic! So, I received my package on 1st June - a phone wrapped in bubble wrap - no box, not a new phone, not the same colour phone, a silver one 😩😩 - enclosed was a letter stating that the policy states a 'like for like' device not a new phone. Obviously a refurbished phone and not new. So far so good, it works! So I received a replacement device, not the same as my old one but it's a phone, it's a 6s and it works! After reading other reviews, I was really concerned about this company and their service. It IS a cheap cover and I'm a bit miffed my replacement phone is not the same colour that I originally bought and insured with gadgetcover but I only have another 6 months left on the contract so will change it then. Surprisingly enough though, I have since received an email from 'Donna Bamber' at Gadgetcover stating: 'Thank you for sending your gadget to our engineers, I can confirm it has been seen by an engineer who has deemed your gadget repairable and is now awaiting to be despatched. Please expect your item to be delivered within the next 3-5 working days and unless otherwise stated, your policy will continue as normal.' So I'm not sure how I would rate their service - conflicting, confusing???? I also notice on this review site that when a customer complains, their standard response is 'we notice you have taken this complaint up directly with us and we will contact you directly' - do they actually respond? To end, I insure 2 iphones with Gadgetcover, I've claimed for 1 waterdamaged iPhone of which I've received a replacement refurbished phone of a different colour after 2 weeks. I WILL search for a policy who sends a new phone like for like to insure in the future!!

Disgraceful service. I have my iPhone 12 was gifted to me. I got it insured with cover my being paying for over 2 yrs. I went abroad and got robbed together with all my documents etc made the police report etc. made the claim didn’t hear anything f back from the after 1 week. After I sent prof of baying etc etc ! You can’t send a screen shot either have to be pdf. Had to call for then to say they needed MANY more evidence but no one bother to call email nothing back that they needed Gift receipt, black listed from my phone company , prof of travelling etc etc basically making up anything they can go no pay a penny ! Worse insurance ever stay away!!!!!

MMI services, sent my phone to them for repair, had great service from them. They did a great job on replacing my screen on my Samsung galaxy s20+ I would definitely recommend them.

Scammers. They won't pay any compensation for your phone if you lose it. They make a lot of money taking monthly insurance from people but they won’t pay anything back. Had the worst experience with them.

I have been with gadget cover insurance for years and never had any issues yet this last time i have paid £75 excess to have my samsung s7 edge fixed and mmi have on numerous occasions come up with an excuse on why it would be my fault that the phone was not tested even though the phone was said to be “broken beyond fixing” at one point. Very bad customer service by mmi but Alex from super gadget has been good up to now but not easy to get hold of which is a shame. As it stands i will be making a formal complaint to the highest form if needs be. There are many phone insurances out there. When my renewal is up i will be contemplating others.

If I could leave a 0 I would. MMI have had my phone for over 2 weeks now and have constantly played me along stating they would prioritise my phone. Thir turnaround should be 5 days. Now they say they have posted it but the tracking states 'Sender preparing item' which if you google means they have generated a tracking number but not actually posted it, so they are lying to me yet again to buy more time Gadget cover hasn't really helped either Worst customer service I have ever experienced Avoid if you can

Disgraceful service from start to finish. Avoid this Cowboy insurance company at all cost. They be CANNOT BE TRUSTED. Need reporting for misleading customers and giving false information. I shall be reporting them to Trading Standards and the Insurance Ombusiman

Phone Gadget cover to ask about insurance for a Tom Tom. Notice my insurance for camera is cheaper, decided to ask about that they had no clue about the camera saying got an iPhone 6s insured never ever had an iPhone 6s. So, the Last 2 years been paying for camera never been insured. Now they say can't insured it because it over 2 years old, they have a joke been paying for last two years. Been taking my money over 2 years.my advice make sure you got right cover, waiting phone Call Just had email off them : Thank you for bringing your dissatisfaction to my attention, I'd firstly like to apologise for the confusion surrounding your policy and any inconvenience this may have caused you as a result. It is with regret to hear that you've found the your insured experience of such an unsatisfactory standard thus far; I can assure you that it is not our intention to make the process a difficult one. Further to the insured item being incorrect, I would like to clarify that your policy was purchased online by you any details provided have been provided by yourself. Regrettably we are unable to insure your camera which you amended last week as your policy requires all items to be under 18 months old at the time they are added to the policy. As a result your policy will now be cancelled, once more I apologise for any inconvenience caused and wait to hear. Worse company takes your money for 2 years their mistake. They don’t right it DON’T EVER HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY.WILL TRY GET EMAIL MAIL BACK WHEN FIRST GOT INSURANCE OUT IF I DO GOD HELP COMPANY WILL SUE COMPANY BY THE Review Gadget Cover WORSE COMPANY EVER. My claim started for my mobile phone on the 15/08/16. It's now 06/10/16 still no phone. I have had to constantly chase them and have spent hours on phone and emails .and on to the phone to my network provider Then they acceted my claim and I sent my phone off to the repair centre (once I had paid the excess and postage cost.) I had heard nothing for 5 working days later so I rang again, to be told the phone will be back with you by 03/10/16 at the latest. Still no phone so call back on the 04/10/16. Someone will ring back to tomorrow. But surprise surprise no call back So call back today 06/10/16 someone is look in to it and will call you back with in the hour still no Phone call? I give up think I need to bite the bullet and buy a new phone and seek legal advice Truly awful Kieran Shaw Update still NO PHONE 10/10/16
