“Placed my first order with this company for a regulator I needed, took roughly 5 working days but unfortunately the packaging was terrible my regulator was lose in a box with the screw in valve also lose when opened the regular at lost most of its paint and had deep scratch’s on the pressure gauge. The item did however work and the damage was just cosmetic I sent a message to there support they responded with a short message saying I can return it if I wanted. No apology or offer to replace with a none damaged one. Sadly I would not use them again. I would advise them to use bubble wrap at the very least.”

Hi Nicholas, thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. We’re sorry to hear about the packaging and cosmetic damage to your regulator, and that our support reply didn’t meet your expectations. We have looked into this and can see that a member of our customer service team replied to your original email and informed you that they had forwarded the pictures to our warehouse manager so they could address it with the staff member who packed the order to ensure it would not happen again. As the product is out of stock, we could not replace it, so the customer service staff member attached a free postage return label to the email and asked you to return the product to us free of charge for a full refund. They also ended the email to you with an apology. The end of the email states verbatim 'I am very sorry for the time and inconvenience it has caused you' Kind regards, Team Hamilton Gas Products

Hi Dave, thanks for letting us know. Sorry to hear the ignition is proving troublesome after a few uses. The good news is that most causes are simple, mechanical, and fixable without replacing the torch. Here’s a clear, practical breakdown of what typically goes wrong — and what you can safely check. 🔧 The most common reasons it becomes hard to ignite 1. The spark gap has shifted The metal electrode at the nozzle must sit 2–4 mm from the burner head. After a few uses, heat and vibration can cause it to move slightly. Symptoms: Weak spark Spark jumps to the wrong place No spark at all What to check: Look at the tip of the igniter. If the gap looks too wide or touching the burner, gently bend it back into position. 2. Carbon or soot buildup on the electrode Piezo igniters need a clean metal surface to spark properly. Symptoms: Spark is orange or weak Ignition only works intermittently Works better after tapping the torch Fix: Wipe the electrode tip with a dry cloth or a cotton bud. If there’s stubborn soot, a very light scrape with a small screwdriver or fine sandpaper helps. 3. Low gas flow at the moment of ignition These torches need a short, sharp burst of gas to ignite. Causes: Cylinder nearly empty Cylinder too cold Valve opened too slowly Regulator inside the torch stiffening with age Try: Open the valve slightly faster Warm the cylinder in your hands for 20–30 seconds Try a fresh cylinder if yours is near empty 4. Piezo mechanism wearing or sticking The internal spring and hammer can weaken or stick after repeated use. Symptoms: You press the trigger and feel a “soft” click Spark is inconsistent Spark only appears if you press very hard Fix: There’s no user‑serviceable repair, but sometimes a few firm, repeated clicks can free the mechanism. 5. Moisture or condensation If the torch has been stored in a damp shed or garage, moisture can reduce spark strength. Fix: Let it dry indoors for a few hours. Kind regards, Team Hamilton Gas Products
