“Carrot is a great insurance company which has saved me a lot of money! The only problem I find is the black box is not always accurate and I don't think I am always marked fairly. Apart from that... Can not complain!”

“Overall very good but reward wise rather poor I would have to say. I have found that in reality it is not that cheap as renewal price looks cheap but depends on the mileage you do, if you have purchased your cover and looks like you will be doing more mileage than anticipated then you have to pay to add more mileage which adds up therefore not as cheap as I thought. If you not going to be driving more than 4000 miles per annum then yes they are perfect.”

“AWFUL!! Paid for a full year in full, then had to pay another £200 on two separate occasions as they said I went over my mirage, for them to tell me it was an it problem with my box so I hadn't gone over, however was to late for a refund! I had a crash which was not my fault and all I got was a voice mail to tell me I'd have to go somewhere else if I wanted to claim as they wouldn't do it. Lost my carrot card, claimed a new one had to pay 5pounds for it for them then to tell me they couldn't replace it as I had moved house in the meantime even though my policy had been updated! Never had so many issues with an insurance company before... You get what you pay for.. Cheap, awful service and end up being a rip off anyway!!! Stay clear!”

“Great insurance. Renewal price shows they are charging for MY driving not the driving of every other youngster on the road. Good that it gives speeding notification - mine is linked to my mum's email, so it gives her a chance to give me a ticking off. Have recommeded to friends.”

“I love the Carrot rewards scheme and would highly reccommend to others. I have had a few problems with the box but have eventually had someone come out to fix it. I've sometimes found the team slow to reply to emails but overall I really can't complain. Thanks Carrot!!”

“Not a good company to insure with, make false promises and their boxes are "very sensitive" meaning it will give rubbish scores so they don't have to pay out any money. Insure elsewhere.”

“Very teenage friendly, encourages you to drive safe in return for cash back and a lower premium, genius! I think this is such a good idea as teenagers are all labelled as reckless driver when in reality it is the bare few. I would recommend this to all my friend because I love the fact you get a pre loaded card with it.”

“Carrot car insurance .... They have saved me a fortune rather than paying an over exaggerated price for young drivers ! The box is not a problem at all you hardly know it's there and you get cash back for this !! What more could you ask for ? Great insurers , great app for iPhone and android which has many features including 'find my car' which comes in handy in big car parks especially ! 5 stars for carrot . John James King”
