Not a bad company UNTIL you pass. No refund then a £25 charge. Emails, Text & phone calls from them in a slightly menacing manner 1 day after cancellation of policy to collect said £25. Read small print or don’t cancel policy. Better still AVOID

DO NOT USE COLLINGWOOD LEARNER INSURANCE if you plan on passing your test. I fully expected to get done over for cancelling policy once my son passed his test, but I did not expect to lose 80% of the policy just 3 months in. Yet another insurance scamming company. When will this industry ever be regulated.

Beware! When my daughter passed her test, they did not give me a refund on the remaining insurance and are hounding me to pay £25 cancellation fee.

Price looks good when you take the policy, just a warning for the charges they will pile on at the end just because you pass, they also cancelled the policy against my request leaving the named driver uninsured and unable to drive the car home.

Please don’t use this broker go straight through an insurance company. My son went from a student to full time employment, to which I called Collingwood to update his occupation on the policy, only to be told it’s an extra £300. Collingwood told me the the insurance company (Zurich) would not speak to me about the price & there is nothing they can do.

Five gold stars for Collingwood learner insurance,my operative Michael Yarborough was totally excellent, helpful,committed to my needs and sorted everything out top class, very polite and very HUMAN. So nice not to have to speak to a robot and a really nice competent guy,thanks Michael,

I have a taxi insurance with them and when they issued the certificate they got the name wrong in the certificate, I contacted them to correct the mistake, and for 5 days I called them daily to issue my certificate correctly during which time I could not work but they collected the money, so for a maximum of 5 minutes during which they had to change my name and send me an email I waited 5 days, to say the least I waited to call them daily, after these 5 days I made a complaint and they told me that it takes 2 months to solve my complaint, if for a minor thing it takes 2 months if I have an accident how long does it take to repair my car ??? 2 years? if they want to fix my car, how serious they are I think they will find a reason ... so think hard before you sign with them

Yesterday I phoned Collingwood and gave a change of vehicle for my daughter. They took the payment and told me I was covered but no email came through. Today I have checked on the AskMID database and the car is not insured so I cannot use it. It is a Sunday so I can't contact them. This is really shoddy service and a total disgrace!

Well, I'm not happy with them! Lot's of great reviews, but none of them mention for what! No claims paid, etc. Reviews look fake to me. They will charge you 30 pounds if you miss a direct debit, even if you call them and pay the same day. Never had that treatment from any other company I have ever dealt with. So, I suppose if you never have a bank problem or and accident, then they are... an insurance company that will gladly take your money.

Only good if you’re planning on not getting in a crash there’s people saying it’s an amazing company based on a sales rep that’s what they do of course they are going to be nice but you should read the 1 star reviews all of the stuff I read there is exactly what happened to me

Minus Zero rating! For collingwood insurance. The worst company to take out your insurance. They will say, you reported late, you don’t have the L sign on when the happen or some other trash you can think of, no matter how quick you get them on the phone it’s still late for them, if you argue that, they will come up with another excuse not just to help and even indict you. Trust me if you haven’t put any claim through to them, don’t just come in here and write any good review because you will be leading people to the pit of pain. If you’ve had any unforeseen circumstance and they stood by you then you can review but people are so daft to write good review because someone laugh when taking your money but when you get into trouble, your fault or not, their goal is to cancel your insurance quickly ASAP, before you could even think of what was going on and hold on to many years you’ve invested without no cover in actual sense, only a piece of document sent to your email, but when real situation comes, then you will know who they really are. If you are reading this don’t even try to take out policy with them or you will be sorry! Your choice

Only if had read all this review before going with this failed company! Now I can’t get any sleep as my insurance is my greatest enemy. Very poor policy never, finds any basics for decisions, just some bunch of fools behind the phones and quickly make poor judgement base on no fact at all. They will push you and interrogated you as if you are a criminal. Their first targets is to look for some faults and made you admits what wasn’t true even when they ain’t at the scene. just so they could cancel your insurance before you could even realise anything! Writing this on behalf of my sister. Please don’t even fall into their trap. They are thieves that takes your money for fun when you most needed them, they will become your worst nightmare and cause you more pain, you can never recover from. They need to be investigated ASAP. Run! Run!! Run!!!

Very disappointed with the company and our experience with them has been dreadful. They do not have the personal service that a smaller insurer would provide. Everything is done on an automated system which in our case has failed us completely. They apparently sent text messages to a phone which was no longer in use. Had they taken the time to check that the text messages had in fact not gone through then we would not be in this position that we find ourselves in.

been with them for 3 months seemed ok then my mum diagnosed with cancer i got deppression was under doctor wasnt earning although my family paid my insurance then i finally pulled myself together and was due to start back to work then 2 days before this my car was stolen and recovered but vandalised i was covered for hire car i thought then found due to this situation there was a clause in the policy no car hire i went mad on phone and swore who wouldnt mum is very ill off work with deppression no money coming in then i lose my car then get letter saying my policy cancelled in 7 days because i lost my temper and now im deppressed again

I have been with Collingwood previously and thought they were great,how wrong can you be. Thank you for cancelling my taxi insurance and leaving me effectively unemployed. You need to tell customers who have taxi insurance that you cancel it if you pick up certain people and if you do you cancel the insurance policy. Well you mess with my business I'm going to every legal means possible to return the favour. Social media is amazing by the end of the week every taxi company and every taxi forum will know what to expect when dealing with you. See you in court
