Purchased 2 dog beds and found when home 1 was the wrong size,returned it later this week and asked if I paid the difference could i purchase the right size.Unless you have a receipt you can't do nothing,even with my bank statement showing said purchased According to the law I have been told this is totally wrong but apparently pets at home are trying there luck with the old company policy trick.I will throw it over to trading standards and see if they think this is acceptable, but I won't use this company any more.

I joined the VIP club when my dog was a pup and subsequently went there for his grooming. After 4 grooms he was supposed to have a 5th 'free'. I received an email saying the scheme was being phased out, but if i booked before April and he had his 4th groom they would honour the old scheme and I would be sent a voucher for the freebie 5th. This was never received! After 3 calls to Customer service I was told that vouchers were sent to an App. At the time of signing up and subsequent visits to the shop I told them I did not have a 'smart phone', but I still received their emails. No voucher was emailed to me either and now they will not honour the 5th free groom because I do not have their app and that is where the voucher would have been sent. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and now I cannot have that free groom (worth approx £49) that I earned in good faith! Total con!

Can anyone tell me how u do a complaint to pets at home. Can’t believe there doesn’t seem to be a way of contacting them. By email or phone. I bought a product on line, paid for next day delivery and it’s coming the following day. When I’m working :-). Yay.

Wouldn't sell me a fish because my tank (purchased from them) is the "wrong shape" and the fish "don't like it".

Awful place! I bought products from them for my pets left the products in my hallway and went for school run and upon returning home my home was infested by some sort of bugs all over my walls, ceiling and wall I’m horrified! I called store for help katie said go customer service and unbothered, I go customer service it’s been 2 days no one has bothered calling me I sent proof of receipt and video/pictures I’m just being told someone will call?! WHEN?! I also have reported to tranding standard now, I’m so sickened! I have infestation of a bug I do not know and I have my baby and they do not care the slightest!!!!!

Absolutely a rip off will not be taking my 2 pets back to their vets much better and more affordable vets around for you animals these guys a con merchants STAY CLEAR !

MY what alot of bad review! Why are you not listening to your customers? After all we pay your wages!!! I have just placed yet another bad review on trust pilot , as customer service non existent .Pets at Home discriminate against the elderly and people with special needs as they only use web chat which useless or face book ! You ring there customer service (lol) and told to use the above. You e mail a complaint and a bog standard reply comes back , you can't speak to anyone. When asked in store about area manager told they only visit atore just of motorway! What a joke!!! You don't deserve to service as a business. Stock not available no one qith any knowledge of when it will be back in stock .what a joke of a company!!!!!

Just avoid pets at home altogether! Numerous orders, either didn't arrive, arrived wurh things missing, their monthly flea & worm subscription never arrives on time & their own flea stuff just doesn't work - now my house us infestated with fleas and of course they offered to sell me 6 cans of house flea spray - £100 + to fix the problem! You can never contact anyone on chat, email, or phone - in store the staff are useless in Huddersfield - both shops, they just say to call customer service which just cuts you off automatically saying to use the chat service which is offline - it's an absolute joke of a company - I'm a Zoologist so I know my stuff with animals and this company does not know what they are doing and do more harm than good with half baked advice....

I’ve heard they joke about killing animals when they are injured … I’ve heard horrible things and I don’t even live near this place. I just worry for all animals :( if I could put zero stars I would … BE CAREFUL WITH UR BABIES

Dreadful customer service. Purchased a Kong extendable lead which snapped within 6 weeks! I was told they have a 30 day returns policy! I said but the product was faulty. They advised me to go to Kong direct! I have not had any reply from Kong. I only have a Cockapoo and the lead is for a dog up to 30 kilos! If I owned Pets at Home I would be concerned that I was selling customers defective products that could lead to an accident!

Ordered a dog bed for my poorly dog, paid for next day delivery, nothing came had an email from them asking how well did they do so said I did not get my next day delivery, they refunded me but that is not the point! This was on Tuesday and it’s now Friday and still no bed, see that it is to be delivered by Evri! Everyone knows that Evri may deliver in a weeks time or it just gets lost. I am livid you cannot speak to anyone at Pets at home about a delivery and the live chat is a waste of time. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY It’s a joke

I ordered a dog bed which I collected from the shop. On opening at home the canopy was ripped and a strut was missing. I had to return the parcel to the shop to get a refund and then reorder. That was two weeks ago. Every time the delivery deadline passed they reorder. I’ve reordered three times now and still no dog bed. Absolutely useless.

The Pets at Home website is not fit for purpose. I only use it approximately once a month, and every single time, without fail, I run into problems. Most frustrating!!

After complaining to the CEO of pets at… After complaining to the CEO of pets at home regarding the way our friend was abused and harassed by 3 pets at home staff including the store manager they came back with that our friend had been abusive that’s what the staff said and its a lie the email she received was absolutely disgusting and banning her from all pets at home as they feel they need to protect their staff from her what a joke she’s 76 years old they should be ashamed the decision is not except able Date of experience: 11 August 2023

Delivery service completely unreliable. Customer service appalling. Have emailed several times with no response. Have requested refund of delivery charge with no response. I would not recommend anyone to use this company's delivery service. There are several other delivery services for pet products that are much more reliable with excellent customer service .

Terrible customer service following the non-delivery of my urgent online order. My cat was left with none of his specialist food for over 3 days. I emailed Pets at Home who responded telling me to use the chat bot, when I tried that, it didn't understand what I was saying and said no live operators were available. Next time I will use another more reliable supplier for my cat food order. I only used Pets at Home this time because they promised next day delivery. Absolute con!!!!
