Recently Pets at home changed their range of cat wet food As a rescue we use approximately 48 sachets a day They loved the old food that was made up of strips The New food kittens lick the jelly off & leave the balls of meat. The Adults hardly touch the food I spend approximately £300 a month at pets at home but looks like i will be looking for a new supplier

Ordered my dogs food on the 31st january, Received an email saying it would be delivered Monday 2nd February. No delivery. I had to call a store, the young lady said she’d chase it up. I got call back to say no record of the order, she tried again, this time ,Yes,it will be delivered to you Wednesday . I’ve still heard nothing from Evri who were supposed to deliver it. I will never do online orders with them again, the service is appalling, I ve now got to travel 10+ miles to buy a bag of food that should have been delivered today,no updates. You cannot phone pets at home customer services either.

Firstly, Pets at home sell many bad products for pets, especially rawhide chews which are deadly to dogs. They sell many dangerous and unsafe toys and treats , even the birthday cakes and birthday items are not a Good option at all , the peanut butter they sell contains palm oil which is bad because its high saturated fat content causes digestive issues, including diarrhoea, vomiting, dehydration, and potentially dangerous pancreatitis. They sell unsafe beading, enrichment, food, hides and even more for small animals. For example for hamsters, most foods and bedding and hides are very unsafe for them even the toys. This is the same for most of the small animals items Pets at Home sell! The cages and enclosures that are sold at pets at home are very upsetting and way to small, some contain dangerous tunnels and platforms etc. The enclosures they keep the small animals and reptiles in are horrendous, the way these animals are kept is abusive . For example, Hamsters require a minimum of 100 x 50cm floorspace with ideally 10 inches of of bedding to burrow and dig their tunnels to hide , a minimum of 6-8 inches is needed of bedding . Pets at home does not even provide half of these measurements for these poor animals for them to get away from the constant loud noises in the busy shops. The wheels they are given are to small for their backs and gives them spinal problems and the sorcer wheels are very dangerous. Not to mention the balls they sell for hamsters when they are out of the cage are awful, their little legs get trapped in the tiny holes and cause death, and sometimes the air is city of from the holes being to small. The Guinea pigs, rabbits, chinchillas and rats are experiencing very similar difficulties with their spaces aswell. Overall, please try to avoid this shop and if that is not possible PLEASE check online before buying something to make sure it is safe for your pet. It breaks my heart to know that somebody has probably purchased a small animal from this store today. When an animal is purchased at Pets at home staff often give you wrong information like the age or gender and then continue to lie about their care and and safe things to but for them. Honestly, if I could give Pets at Home 0 stars I would!

Ordered Monday for Tuesday delivery, told it would turn up Wednesday. Nothing by Friday, spent ages on the site with the chat being useless. Finally got a replacement sorted for next Monday. Turns up Tuesday. Order is badly damaged inside, looks like someone packed it by throwing it in Appalling, won’t bother ordering ever again.

I took our terrier for grooming. What Pets at Home practice is sheep shearing, I doubt a pair of scissors featured at all in the grooming process. I asked for the fir on his legs and under his tail be short, I asked for a light trim of the coat on his body. Under his tail was sheered so short his skin is showing. The assistant then had the nerve to try to increase the price from the £50 quoted to £70. I said I was prepared to pay £70 but would be complaining to the company management . This company needs to train staff to groom properly.

I purchased a dog chew toy for £24.00, gave it to our Cavapoo, and it disintegrated within minutes. I fully appreciate that chew toys aren’t indestructible, but five minutes of use is completely unacceptable for a product at this price point. When I raised the issue with Pets at Home, I was told that “dog chew toys have a limited life.” Limited life?? That doesn’t justify a £24 toy falling apart almost instantly. The response I received felt dismissive and showed no willingness to resolve the issue. Overall, this has been one of the poorest customer service experiences I’ve had. I expected far better from a company of this size.

Misleading and pressuring behavior — violation of consumer rights I recently visited this store to buy a hamster and was pressured to purchase an additional disinfectant for £3.99. The staff claimed that vinegar would be unsafe, which is completely misleading — in fact, the disinfectant they were forcing me to buy contains DDAC, a chemical that can be harmful. 2 staff members on the shift seemed to encourage each other to pressure me into buying this product, even threatening not to sell the animal unless the disinfectant was purchased. This is a clear violation of consumer rights. For peace of mind, I ended up buying it because my child was afraid we wouldn’t be allowed to take home the hamster they had been dreaming of. I understand that in a pet shop with many animals they may use stronger disinfectants for hygiene reasons, but for home use this should never be forced on a customer, especially through intimidation. This behavior is disgusting, unethical, and unacceptable. I hope this review helps other customers be aware and make informed decisions.

Absolutely appalling experience with Pets at Home delivery. The home delivery arrived in a disgusting state. Toys that were supposed to be new arrived blackened, and the Denzel selection box was opened with packs missing and damaged. Dog food also arrived damaged. On top of that, customer service was completely useless and unhelpful. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

Anyone tried bying fish from pets at home stonererry wow came out of their shaking their policy is you have to buy the fish they say or you can't have them. Wanted pair of dwarf gouramis and was told I have to buy 2 females and one male or I can't have them. Fuming asked for the manager and of course she backed her staff up stating on camera you have to buy 2 famalesc and one male it's policy. It's madness that's what it is. Been keeping fish 40 years bread thousands of gouramis even showed them pics of my fish not interested in have never experienced anything like this the pets at home st Andrews are brilliant never had any issues.

Cancelled my account and deleted the app due to receiving damaged products once to often. Help center don't care, infact they try to make it seem like damages are your fault and the damages go on and on... the stench of the exposed product filled my home yet the delivery was still made. That is to say the delivery was left on my door step and the delivery person made off before I could refuse to take the sticking mess into my home. This is not once or twice, it's many times. 11 damages tins and 6 split open tins on this occasion.

Bought bags of Seed Feed for the first time. Avoid! Majority of the bags contain an elongated seed that the birds will not touch. They end up in the dustbin. Waste of money.

Has anyone else had the problem when purchasing the multi pack of 24 Step up to Natural tinned dog food. The tins are always battered & damaged through out the pack!? On numerous deliveries now I've sent photographs of tins that have gone mouldy due to the damage. Today I sent more photos from a pack in my latest order. One tin was battered & leaking with the other battered tins in the pack all around it & another had mould seeping out the edge of its lid. Pet at Homes response has been they will not refund me this time whilst they carry out an investigation. I have been reporting this problem of damaged tins to them for the past year or so but & am taken back that they are now making me as the customer wait whilst they investigate their problem!? I've requested to cancel my orders & subscriptions & will be looking to do my big pet shops else where. I also buy the large tinned packs of Butchers lean & Tasty for my other dogs from here & have never had any issue with the tins been damaged in those packs only & always the Step up to Natural tinned dog food! I am really disgusted at being treated this way having been a regular loyal, online customer after all this time! The pictures included are just from one pack in this order but I have previously sent a lot worse pictures in from previous orders if you choose to look back through my records or if I go through my emails to you from last time showing the mouldy tins!
