Pets at home customer service is terrible. The items they delivered were poorly packaged so not a surprise the items came damage. They split my order and used 2 different couriers. While using their online chat to complain about the damage ( within 10 mins of my order arriving ) I got disconnected while waiting for the customer service representative to reply near the end of our conversation because they took so long to respond. Because of that my complaint got sent to the online investigation team and because my order came in multiple packages with different couriers they couldn’t work out which order came in which parcel so they said they can’t help me and I have to go my card company for a charge back. They are one of the more expensive pet shops you would think they have better customer service. Absolutely useless

Poor service, orders never arrive when they should. Staff just don't seem to care anymore. Business for profits and not pets

Visited walkden branch today due to our new puppy having severe itching - Anthony at the store went above and beyond to help us identify why this might be giving us sound advice and directing us to seek a vets attention if it continues we left after purchasing a tea tree spray and changing our pups food feeling more confident and relieved - Thankyou so much - he also advised we join the puppy club which we did and received a bag of food free

Having spent over £90 in the last week at pets for homes I decided to purchase a retractable lead (pets for homes own make). The lead is labelled for puppy training, how ever the spring is far to strong for our chihuahua. We returned it to the store and was told by the manager that he wouldn't take it back as our little puppy had left a few teeth marks in a plastic collar that covers the sewing up on the tape.. He was not friendly at all and wasn't interested that the lead is far to strong and was pulling to much for our puppy.. I left the lead there and will not be returning to this chain of pet stores.. I will spread the good word (NOT) to my fellow veteran's..

Staff at Pets at Home could not have been more helpful when I had a problem with an online order, especially Owen and Trish who resolved the problem without any issues

Twice now I've ordered on line the second time like the first time "items out of stock" therefore cannot be delivered. The two stars are for the excellent staff at the local Exeter branch.

Bought 5 tubs of LIVE mealworms. Cost £11 with discount for 5. Got them home and tipped them all into large aerated large tub. At least two thirds of them were black and dead. Phoned store to complain. Was told I should have checked each individual box before buying and there was nothing they could do. Fair point, but when I go to buy LIVE mealworms I expect them to be alive. I wouldn't go in to buy a rabbit or guinea pig only to be handed a dead one.

After much reading and very mixed reviews I decided to give this a go as my local aquatics shop said my little goldfish had a tiny fungal growth on its fin. So to try prevent it getting any worse, use this. Reading reviews I was so scared to use and not sure about getting the correct dosage. I decided to start at a 1ml dose for my 17L tank and see how the fish react (2 gold fish, only 1 showing signs of any growths). The bottle stated to remove the carbon filter from the tank, so I took that out of the filter, turned it back on and dropped in 1ml of the product. Waited anxiously and the fish seemed fine. 24 hours later I came to do the same and I kid you not, the growth had shrunk to a tiny speck! Continued this for the full 7 days as recommended and then did a 50% water change and both fish are totally fine and healthy. I also removed my live plants during treatment even though it said plant safe I didn't want to risk. But, I did separate one plant and add a drop to that to see and it did actually survive so it probably is right! I just didn't want to take my chances and lose all of my greenery! My advice using this treatment is to give a very low dose and see how the fish tolerate it. Don't go throw in 5ml like it says! 1ml did my 17litre tank and treated the fish perfectly.

Title: Poor Service and No Response – Very Disappointed I took my dog to Pets at Home Groomers at St James Retail Park, Northampton on 2nd April 2025. The grooming was not done as requested, and I raised my concerns by email on 7th and again on 12th April. Both were completely ignored. It’s extremely disappointing to be met with total silence when trying to resolve an issue. I expected at least a basic level of customer service, but instead I’ve been left feeling ignored and undervalued. If you care about how your pet is treated — and expect any kind of follow-up when something goes wrong — I’d recommend going elsewhere. This experience has been nothing but frustrating from start to finish, and I will be taking it further.

Placed a repeat order for pet food, 1st order dumped in garden, 2nd and 3rd orders cancelled by Pets at Home, the order today (4th order) was out for delivery, then failed to deliver with zero attempt made, then Pets at Homes only option? Cancel the order of food for living creatures, zero care for the animals.

My little doggy had a £30 tidy up. This was told to me that she was washed and cut and brushed. She came back after 30 mins, not smelling very nice ,lots of matted hair and had just been snipped around the eyes,I took before pics and after pics and there was only the eyes that was different, I did email them but they more or less said I was fibbing even after showing them the pics. I would never go back and never recommend

I have been in several times and Marie is so helpful. She has advised me about cat food. Today my cat would not eat her food with her medication in it. Marie was very busy but still stopped to give me some excellent advice as to what I could use. I ended up buying some cat milk too as this is what she advised another customer to do when she had the same problem. The other staff are really helpful too. All in all a lovely experience.

What a lovely lady called Marie you have working at your Redhill store. The man who helped me try and set up your App on my mobile phone was so helpful too, but I do not know his name. They certainly went over and above to provide an excellent service. Marie helped me find some fish food for my cats, she was so lovely. You certainly have 2 very helpful and keen staff working there. All in all a really lovely experience.

Bought a rabbit hutch from them. Within a few months it was falling apart. I came downstairs today and my rabbit had a fall and has passed away. Don't trust their cages. It was the "Ferplast Guinea Pig & Rabbit Home 240 Indoor Cage Grey 2 Storey"

Ordered on line and paid for next day delivery, got a email dispatched but just spent a hour on the phone and it hasn’t been dispatched. 4 to 5 working days for a refund. Disgusting service , will never use pets at home again Don’t bother paying for next day delivery.

Firstly the assistant Arun T went above and beyond normal duties. I was In a dilemma regards to getting a puppy collar and lead that was suitable for his training. He went through all the types of leads that would be suitable. He also went through the app and how it would benefit me. He even helped me sign up for the app. Fantastic young man. Nothing was too much trouble and he certainly didn't rush me.
