Bought bags of Seed Feed for the first time. Avoid! Majority of the bags contain an elongated seed that the birds will not touch. They end up in the dustbin. Waste of money.

Reference17703308208 Becky at Blackburn Pets At Home was exceptionally helpful when we went to look a new harness for our dog. She spent time explaining about all the Harnesses available and hen suggested that we brought our dog in to be measured. I ensured that when I took our dog in that Becky was on duty. We were really impressed by how she showed us how to fit our chosen harness. We asked her about their products in store and felt that she gave us sensitive and factual advice. most of the staff their are friendly and helpful , so thankyou Becky, we hope to see you in future. Shirley, paul and Mr Boo dog.

Has anyone else had the problem when purchasing the multi pack of 24 Step up to Natural tinned dog food. The tins are always battered & damaged through out the pack!? On numerous deliveries now I've sent photographs of tins that have gone mouldy due to the damage. Today I sent more photos from a pack in my latest order. One tin was battered & leaking with the other battered tins in the pack all around it & another had mould seeping out the edge of its lid. Pet at Homes response has been they will not refund me this time whilst they carry out an investigation. I have been reporting this problem of damaged tins to them for the past year or so but & am taken back that they are now making me as the customer wait whilst they investigate their problem!? I've requested to cancel my orders & subscriptions & will be looking to do my big pet shops else where. I also buy the large tinned packs of Butchers lean & Tasty for my other dogs from here & have never had any issue with the tins been damaged in those packs only & always the Step up to Natural tinned dog food! I am really disgusted at being treated this way having been a regular loyal, online customer after all this time! The pictures included are just from one pack in this order but I have previously sent a lot worse pictures in from previous orders if you choose to look back through my records or if I go through my emails to you from last time showing the mouldy tins!

Andover pets at home. I've been going for years. Spend a lot of money. The staff have always been wonderful. Until recently. A newish member of staff is extremely rude. I missed it this week but witnessed how she spoke to an elderly lady who was looking quite frail. You will have to queue over there. It's one queue. She served and looked up and said next. Completely overlooking the elderly lady who should have been next. It was just her over all rudeness. I have never known a single queue system at Andover. If it is now that. Politely tell people. I felt awful for the elderly lady. Shocking treatment. The girl that served me very clearly new and I ll leave it at that. The original staff are just lovely particularly the one with the pony tail and rose cheeks. Always perfectly smiling and helpful.

Zoe at the Gillingham, Dorset store approached us when I had my grandson with me and talked with him about the animals, letting him put some fresh vegetable into the guinea pig enclosure. She talked with him for a long time about various animals which he really liked. After this when I went to the till to pay a customer needed a lot of help so I was waiting quite some time, Zoe then saw I was waiting and came to another till to take my purchase. A lovely person and very helpful. Thank you Zoe

I am very happy with Pets at Home. They are friendly, punctual, happy to help with queries and questions. Are able to answer correctly , with information. I bought a 🐹 hamster, from them 2 weeks ago, a different breed to what I am used to. She has had that type of breed herself, so explained to me how to look after the hamster properly, wgat food, bedding, toys, environment and personality of breed.

Disappointing Reliability for Pet Essentials This is the second time I've run into significant issues trying to purchase from Pets at Home, and it's becoming incredibly frustrating. The first instance involved an order that eventually had to be cancelled, forcing me to scramble and buy essential supplies locally at the last minute. Now, it's happened again: a delivery that was promised for Friday has simply not arrived. For pet owners, reliable access to food, litter, and other vital supplies isn't just a convenience – it's a necessity. It's genuinely difficult to manage our pets' needs when deliveries are this unreliable. Honestly, this kind of inconsistency makes it very hard to rely on Pets at Home for future purchases, which is a real shame given they're meant to be a go-to for pet care.

21 June service predictably poor. Chiny from Fort Kinnaird Edinburgh really unhelpful at tills and when I asked for help she said I was on the tills..She appears to work in a siloe and does not realise that she should help the customer particularly when she is serving the said customer. Think there is a need for staff training on courtesy and their role and reminded who pays their salary ..

I set up a repeat order subscription for dog food to come every 6 weeks. I checked on my account today as food nearly out. It should have come this week but the next order shows for August 2nd. I did a live chat to find out the June one was skipped because they didn't have any!! No one notified me!!!! They suggested i order some of the 1.5kg bags instead £££££££££ subscription cancelled

Pets at home customer service is terrible. The items they delivered were poorly packaged so not a surprise the items came damage. They split my order and used 2 different couriers. While using their online chat to complain about the damage ( within 10 mins of my order arriving ) I got disconnected while waiting for the customer service representative to reply near the end of our conversation because they took so long to respond. Because of that my complaint got sent to the online investigation team and because my order came in multiple packages with different couriers they couldn’t work out which order came in which parcel so they said they can’t help me and I have to go my card company for a charge back. They are one of the more expensive pet shops you would think they have better customer service. Absolutely useless

Poor service, orders never arrive when they should. Staff just don't seem to care anymore. Business for profits and not pets

Visited walkden branch today due to our new puppy having severe itching - Anthony at the store went above and beyond to help us identify why this might be giving us sound advice and directing us to seek a vets attention if it continues we left after purchasing a tea tree spray and changing our pups food feeling more confident and relieved - Thankyou so much - he also advised we join the puppy club which we did and received a bag of food free

Having spent over £90 in the last week at pets for homes I decided to purchase a retractable lead (pets for homes own make). The lead is labelled for puppy training, how ever the spring is far to strong for our chihuahua. We returned it to the store and was told by the manager that he wouldn't take it back as our little puppy had left a few teeth marks in a plastic collar that covers the sewing up on the tape.. He was not friendly at all and wasn't interested that the lead is far to strong and was pulling to much for our puppy.. I left the lead there and will not be returning to this chain of pet stores.. I will spread the good word (NOT) to my fellow veteran's..

Staff at Pets at Home could not have been more helpful when I had a problem with an online order, especially Owen and Trish who resolved the problem without any issues

Twice now I've ordered on line the second time like the first time "items out of stock" therefore cannot be delivered. The two stars are for the excellent staff at the local Exeter branch.

Bought 5 tubs of LIVE mealworms. Cost £11 with discount for 5. Got them home and tipped them all into large aerated large tub. At least two thirds of them were black and dead. Phoned store to complain. Was told I should have checked each individual box before buying and there was nothing they could do. Fair point, but when I go to buy LIVE mealworms I expect them to be alive. I wouldn't go in to buy a rabbit or guinea pig only to be handed a dead one.
