Booked our nearly 9 month old puppy in for grooming. Identified to staff I had a 50% off voucher at book in and at checkout. They scanned my VIP card and the voucher and acknowledged it. When I got home I found the voucher had not been applied. Rang the store and was told the voucher was for a puppy groom and he’d had a full groom. This was his first groom ever. He’s not quite 9 months old. They acknowledged I had a voucher at check in. They scanned the voucher at checkout. At no point was I told the difference between what he had and the voucher. Clear the VIP status is not for everyone! I’m not unhappy with the grooming as it was his first one. But I still feel conned out of this voucher and do pleased I didn’t book for his next treatment

Absolutely disgusting online food delivery service, 1st order for 2 bags 14kg dog food no issues and delivery was within 48 hrs. 2nd delivery however advised 48 hrs and it never turned up (Evri) chased with online chat advised they would do next day with (DPD) and gave me £10 good will for the inconvenience of having to go in store to buy a smaller bag to tide me over. Next day, nothing arrived so tried to track order to be advised Evri hadn't even collected. So not only wasn't DPD it wasn't even coming next day. Chased again to be advised they could reorder or refund, so I asked for a full refund and to cancel my subscription. Today I have received my refund LESS £10 good will gesture. Definitely won't be using them again.

Wrong food delivered. Unable to phone anyone to sort it out. Now I have no food for my pets. Did online chat, but they shut it down saying email them. I did so immediately but received no reply. Tried phoning customer services on another number... It says go to online chat. What a joke. You send the wrong order and cannot be contacted.

Passive aggressive/gossiping staff with absent management to ensure they're kept in line. Very poor training being given leading the staff to lack the capacity to understand what is required to keep the animals physically and emotionally safe. If you want to leave with a pet and not have someone tell you you haven't done your research when ... You have I suggest you never ever go to this store. I suggest never going to Bridgewater given the manager allowed customers and their family (who they text on shift) to come and verbally assault me. - Bridgwater.

I took our young cockapoo dog to be groomed at Pets at Home on the Old Kent Road on Wednesday Jan 24th. There were two staff in the grooming room, and the male member of staff had a really bad attitude. We picked our dog up two hours later - he had been shorn like a sheep which was OK as his hair was matted. However, the emotional impact is beyond description. Our dog has never been anxious or distressed until now. Three days later he is still utterly changed. He cowers (never before) he shakes with anxiety and he is stuck to me like glue. Whatever happened whilst we were absent must have been abhorrent. Take my advice - never go near this place or let them handle your pet if you are not present. Were I able to prove this I would be suing the a$$ of these treacherous cowboys.

There appears to be an online Scam involving Pets At Home. It appears to originate from China. They are texting and emailing people, offering Pet food at great prices. I contacted PAH today, they are aware of it and are investigating. No warning has appeared on my PAH VIP app. Unable to clarify how long PAH have been aware of it. 24 hours should have given them ample time to release a warning.

I ordered two items back in December for my dog. They were too small so i wanted to return them. Since no information is included in the delivery (which already breaks the online selling rules), nor on their website I emailed them 5 (!!!) times over the course of a month asking where i should send them back but received no reply. Today I dedicated my day off to sort this out and tried to contact them another way. Firstly, the contact us page didnt load. I then started a chat. The first lady ( i screeshotted this) kicked me out of the chat after 1 minute of inacitivity from my side (thanks Josie C!). The next person just stated that I could return it to one of their shops. I asked him repeatedly if I cannot return it by mail (again, rules of online and distance selling) and after him telling me again and again that i could go to one of their stores and return it there he finally gave in. Then, the chat accidentally closed. Looks like I wont be able to return these items and will have to just bin them. I went on the store locator page and ... "generic error" - the page doesnt exist/ is broken. This is by far the worst service I have received anywhere. Making it impossible to return an item. Withholding information how to do it. Breaking the law again and again. Stay away from these crooks.

My partner and I have two dogs so we decided to sign up for the flea, tick & worm treatment subscription as this initially sounded ideal and really useful. Unfortunately after a few months and after skipping 1 month, the deliveries became really inconsistent. For months we didn’t get any delivery but no payment was taken, however this followed by one month we did not receive our order although the payment was taken, and there were two subsequent months whereby the payment was taken although Pets at Home had assured me the payment had been suspended and no product was received. In all fairness, PAH did ensure to resend the product out on one of the months when we did not received the order, but I was really surprised by them continuing to take payment given the ongoing issues I was raising with them and waiting for them to resolve, and after being assured it was paused. All in all, I have paid for two months worth of subscription which I have never received. What has led me to make this review is the ongoing difficulty I am having with the ‘customer service’ team and trying to obtain my refund, which I am LEGALLY ENTITLED TO. This is two months of my months which PAH are illegally holding onto. We are now going on 4-5 months of attempting to secure my refund. At this point, PAH customer service has been disgusting - I hardly get any replies to my emails, i get no emails when I am promised someone will get back to me in X amount of days, I am unable to start a live chat on the website as it says “it looks like an agent has blocked your chats”, and I have been promised on two occasions that the refund has been scheduled and would be cleared within 10 days, but of course I never receive any refund… I have offered to send my bank statements to customer service to evidence that I am not lying about this, but I only get arsey responses. I have asked to make a formal complaint, but this seems to be glazed over and ignored - it is simply not good enough. PAH have evidenced their clear lack of respect and care over their loyal customers. In a time where finances are hard, the money being kept from me is valuable and I am really disappointed by the way I have been treated. I’m fed up of receiving ‘apologies’ as these are empty and does not resolve the ongoing issue. I am not going to be a customer that goes away. I have had multiple animals and always shopped with PAH but I will never be giving my money to such an awful company again. My family and friends are also very surprised by PAH response and will be boycotting the company.

DANGEROUS CRATES!!!!! Please don't buy one their own branded crates for puppies. Extremely poorly made and dangerous. One of the thin wire bars snapped buy a 10 week old puppy dragging in s top sheet, leaving sharp edges. Customers service hung up on me on a online chat. Not a great experience or product.

Ordered and paid online for 3 hooded cat litter trays. 30 minutes later got an email saying that my order had been cancelled due to an issue. Money to be refunded. If the issue was that those ones were not in stock I would have ordered different ones, but had no proper explanation or alternative. Bad customer service

Purchased 2 dog beds and found when home 1 was the wrong size, returned it later this week and asked if I paid the difference could i purchase the right size.Unless you have a receipt you can't do nothing, even with my bank statement showing said purchased According to the law I have been told this is totally wrong but apparently pets at home are trying there luck with the old company policy trick.I will throw it over to trading standards and see if they think this is acceptable, but I won't use this company any more.

I joined the VIP club when my dog was a pup and subsequently went there for his grooming. After 4 grooms he was supposed to have a 5th 'free'. I received an email saying the scheme was being phased out, but if i booked before April and he had his 4th groom they would honour the old scheme and I would be sent a voucher for the freebie 5th. This was never received! After 3 calls to Customer service I was told that vouchers were sent to an App. At the time of signing up and subsequent visits to the shop I told them I did not have a 'smart phone', but I still received their emails. No voucher was emailed to me either and now they will not honour the 5th free groom because I do not have their app and that is where the voucher would have been sent. Absolutely disgraceful behaviour and now I cannot have that free groom (worth approx £49) that I earned in good faith! Total con!
