Staff are clueless! Manager is a simpleton! Sold us a harness that didn’t fit right so we took it back but didn’t have receipt only cc statement and wanted to swap for a more expensive one but the idiot wouldn’t take it back even though we are in there most weeks spending 100’s of pounds! I will NEVER go back there again

Ordered a bulk order online for the first time from Pets at Home, stupidly thinking that this would be easier for me than going to the local store and struggling. When I had placed the order I received a confirmation email which allowed me to track my order. On doing this I was told that my order had been delivered in February 2019 ( now in August 2019) to an address I’d never heard of and signed for by someone that I didn’t know. I presumed that this was an error so ignored. On the day my order should of arrived, it didn’t so I then contacted customer services who were surprised and couldn’t give me a reason why so they contacted DPD who couldn’t contact the driver to find out what had happened. They tried to say it would be delivered on the Monday, 3 days later but were told this wasn’t good enough as it was an error on their part so they arranged it for the next day. When the order arrived there was an item missing so again I contacted customer services to ask if it would be refunded and the refund was then done whilst I was on the telephone. So after changing my plans to make sure I was in for a delivery that didn’t arrive, two phone calls to customer services that were nearly 30 minutes each time as they were busy, and some of the order missing I will not be bothering again. Complete waste of time and not worth the hassle.

I bought my staffy a Kong Ball which I was advised isn't 100% indestructable but very durable, it was wrecked within an hour, absolute rubbish for something I could have went into Poundland and bought a toy to the same effect. Crap/10

Went into the Bridgwater store had to wait 20 min to be served as 2 members of staff were signing people up on iPad there was 2 others members of staff but the female member just seemed to be flitting about but not actually serving any one while it’s good to sign people up and offer that service it’s bit so good for customers that are being kept waiting especially in a shop they obviously doesn’t have efficient air conditioning have to think if I want to continue shopping there

Pets at home CROTDON GROOM ROOM 13/07/2019. Staff unfriendly and unable to communicate well with customers. Staff also seem to lack training and experience!! Our lovely dog was extremely distressed upon collection and cut was very very very poor, she was patchy all over and nails had not been clipped!!! Would give no stars if possible DO NOT TAKE YOU PET HERE IF YOU LOVE AND CARE FOR THEM.

I recently visited the Yeovil Branch for some dog wormers The shop was busy but I found an assistant that was with another customer. I waited close to her, but at a respectful distance so as to not invade their privacy but to let her know I was waiting. After 10 minutes she had not even acknowledged my existence so I politely asked if there was anybody else to help. She told be to go to the cashier (who had a long queue waiting). I politely asked if there was anybody available to help and I was given the response "No". So after 15 minutes in total I left the shop and went elsewhere to buy the dog wormers. I don't mind waiting but I do mind rude staff.

Do not buy from pets at home this is the result of there poorly made equipment, A car journey of me inconsolably crying and £106 later and luckily my Syrian hamster is absolutely fine despite one of the balls from the bottle missing! Absolutely disgraceful. Angry isn’t the word!!😡😡😡

My Queen gave a birth and I wanted to buy a flea drops to protect her kittens of hatching fleas. The shop assistant Would not sell me any product as I was not sure what was her weight. I was really stressed and upset as the shop assistant would not give me an alternative.

I feel that I was ripped off the fish food cost me 3 pounds and when I got it home the bottom of the container is indented so only half the container had food in it and I thought it was a full container where in fact it was a deception container . im only 10 and spent all my birthday money on a starter tank pump and fish but feel ripped off by paying 3 pounds thinking im getting a good deal . NOT

Let me just start by saying I’ve used Pets at a Home for years prior to today and I never had any problem with them. I was a regular at Regents Road Retail Park stocking up for my dog and using their groom room. I signed up for a VIP card years ago and always went into the store, giving my phone number at checkout, Ive never had any real perks from the card but the service has always been great so it never bothered me. Today I went into a Pets at Home in Yorkshire and was made out to be a liar over having a VIP card as she couldn’t locate me on the system. As you can imagine from my point of view it was very embarrassing and I ended up saying it didn’t matter just to get out of there. I called the customer service line to try and sort it out. The First customer rep I spoke to was polite and tried to help me. The second one that she put me through to, on the ‘VIP’ line - I’m absolutely astounded that you hire people like her. She spoke to me so rudely and sarcastically, to the point it made me so mad I had to put the phone down. All I wanted to do was try to establish why I’m not a VIP member when I signed up at regents retail park and ALWAYS, gave them my phone number that was registered with no kickback. After today’s experience you’ve lost a valued customer. Your customer service has gone to pot.

Used the Groom Room and paid £32 for the "Full Groom" for our dog. After paying he was brought through to us - perfectly clean but not one hair of his shaggy fur had been cut! Wrote a letter to customer services but have not had a reply 5 weeks later. There is no other address for making a complaint.

The website is slow and difficult to find what I was looking for. So had a go at Live Chat which disconnected. I wanted to check the price of Denamarin 425 mg as i had eventually found it after many attempts and it was £75. I only bought some in late Nov/early Dec and it was £50. So why the price hike? Found what I was looking for on line at Animed for £54 so won’t be going back to Pets at Home anytime soon. Later I got an email asking me to review my shopping experience - I duly completed the questions but there was no way to submit it. Maybe the system picked up my low scores? 😤😤

Delivery service: For the third time I ordered (and paid £4.95 for) next day delivery. For the third time I did not get it. The £4.95 was refunded each time, but the first two times half my delivery went to somewhere else in the country and the third time DPD have just decided to deliver it the day after. Not good if you have the day off to receive the delivery. Staff were very helpful when I phoned to complain about this, but there is nothing they can do to remedy it. I cannot be the only one to have this problem, I wonder if Pets@Home really should, in all honesty, offer a next day delivery service

Disappointed with Groom Room at Warrington. Cavichon now looks like a terrier but the groomer thought ‘he looked cute’!! Furious. Completely shaved .except for a tuft on his head! Will never use them again.

I mistakenly ordered using the wrong payment method online a week and a half ago. Within half an hour, I had followed the instructions set out on their website to cancel the order. So far I have had no replies to my two emails, facebook messages or tweet. I have 3 boxes of things I don't need or want and I am now £100 out of pocket! On top of that, the cat scratcher I bought from them also had a chunk of metal sticking out of it!! Such a shame, as up to now I had only ever bought my pet stuff from pets at home, and unless they manage to pull an amazing apology out of the bag, I doubt I'll ever buy from them again! Next step will be to report them to citizens advice/an ombudsman. Seriously unimpressed.
