"I have been a long time customer of Sheila's Wheels (years), and was told a had to pay \u00a384.65 to cancel my policy today (I sold my car over the weekend). Their policy state a \u00a335 handling fee for cancellations, which I understood, but the helpdesk clerk couldn't share with me how the calculated the extra fee. I told her I would be willing to pay it if I could see\/understand the calculation and asked her thus to email it to me. She said that wasn't possible and I would have to pay and they would not cancel my policy until then. I've since written to them asking to show me proof of this added liability in my policy.
