Con artists, cancelled my insurance even after I rang to explain the reason the car is not in use and even after going out of my way to ensure the car was used just to send some data off whilst it was not in my possession and they cancelled it anyway. The call centre is also useless as it's clearly just someone reading from a script.

This is my 3rd review about this horrendous company ripped off for £250, then had the cheek to say my son owed a further £6! Now he gets a email and now he owes £26! We're does this company stop, these sham companies need stopped

Personally couldn’t think of a worse car insurer, DO NOT TAKE INSURANCE OUT NO MATTER HOW REASONABLE THEIR PRICE IS! I have always had issues when trying to ring them as they never seem to have any answers nor do they bother to find them. My first contact with them was regarding my black box statistics which seemed incorrect, I requested a call-back when they had the information regarding the stats and was told I would receive a call within 48 hours, a year down the line, I’m still waiting. My most recent contact with them was regarding my No Claims Bonus which accumulated to 0 somehow, which was shocking for me to see. A tiny bump set my black box off and I received calls endlessly to file a claim if required, I explained the situation and told them it wasn’t a claim I’m willing to put through as no damaged occurred. Wise Driving being the insurance broker didn’t relay my information back to Highway Insurance (the underwriters) so this affected the NCB. After spending three lunch hours on the phone to them, it was still left unresolved. I spoke with a lady who had no idea about Claims, when asked to be put through to someone senior she refused. However, she did put me through to the Claims department and this lovely lady explained what needed to be done in a simple way so I could understand exactly how to resolve this. Thankfully this was resolved, not by Wise Driving but by the Underwriters. Biggest mistake going with them, never again!

Review update 14 days after cancelling my policy 1 day policy and no refund. They tried to take more money out of my bank I cancelled my policy after reading all the negative reviews on all the other review sites ( take a look )

I am disappointed after reading such good reviews, which was a big part of the decision to take out my policy with you, to have had problems since the start. Firstly with the engineer cancelling three times before installing my box which triggered messages telling me my policy would be cancelled for something that was out of my control (I assume this is because they are another company and poor communication between the two means the automated messaged are still sent). This engineer confirmed the documents he took photo's of were correct and would be uploaded. This did not happen and it turns out my no claims discount was not uploaded. As I do not check my personal emails every day it was not until a received a text message saying my policy would increase that I contacted the team to discuss. I then emailed the documents from my work email and cc'd in my personal email. Asking for a reply to my work email or a call/text should there be any problems, which I did not receive. Then after a text saying my good driving score meant my premium would go down I called to confirm they had received my no claims. I find out that this is not the official no claims document. As this is my first year of no claims I have not had to this before. After providing the right document I am now in a battle to try and get the money returned to me that I have paid and it seems each time I call the advisor is contradicting his predecessor. I hope this is resolved soon or I will not be staying with wise driving.

Not a person to complain however my renewal was this month and I am abit disappointed as my premium has gone up quite abit, i would still recommend however I’m abit dissapointed that I have not recieved monthly update via email which I used to and they did not explain in my renewal email until I rang them that it would take 7-8 days for my payment to come out which I thinks quite bad... I have enjoyed my first 2 years with this company up until now

The worst company I have been with, when you call the call centre to do any changes or even try to cancel they don’t even know what they are talking about half the time. Surely they are given training before picking up the phone!? I urge you not to waste your money and go with this company!! I will never again and will be telling friends and family not to either..

Hi Gareth, Thanks for giving us such a good rating and taking the time to leave us a review. In regards to your query about the App, this is only available to our mobile app device customers. This is advised on our website and before you download the App. If you have a black box policy, so your box was installed by an engineer, this unfortunately will not work with your policy. To access your portal and dashboard please go to our website and the existing customer section. The link on this page will allow you to register and access your personal accounts. We hope this helps. Don’t have a bad word to say, I’m very happy with Wise Driving. The only problem is the app doesn’t work at all it won’t recognise my log in, that’s the only thing stopping my review from being ‘very good’

If you have had a box installed by one of the engineers unfortunately this is not available on these policies. You are able to register and access your online portal and dashboard through the existing customer section of our website. Thanks, Vicky.
