Item wasnt in stock, but poor communication around when it was going to be back and the online chat was pretty poor, had to call in directly to find out more information

Their website and purchasing process was great. Unfortunately, they have used the worst courier company (imho), and while they used this company, I will not use them again

Products are good but: in my case the product was advertised on George’s website as in stock and to be sent within 2 days. Two weeks later it still wasn’t in store and hadn’t been sent.

The initial sales process was smooth and helpful and although not everyone, some people there were knowledgeable and helped me with my questions. Bought a Sony camera. Then bought a lens on a separate transaction. Needed a proper tax invoice to submit to Sony with my name on it. Also needed the invoice for the lens for tax. Was told that I will be getting one from the accounts department via email. Nothing. I rang the store and was told that I will get a generic invoice and to email back the name and they will amend it and send it back to get a proper one. Got the generic invoice but not the proper one. And no invoice for the lens. Still waiting since Black Fri sale.

Have always been pleased with Georges Cameras, however was very disappointed with one of my latest orders. I Emailed TWICE for an update with NO RESPONSE…after phoning I was told that the order would not be filled this month. Surely someone should have notified me of the delay.

To be expected - the trade off from buying something at a competitive price is the challenge for Georges of providing timely dispatches. With delays in delivery there are customers wanting updates, which then tests George’s ability to respond. Overall, I was left feeling lukewarm about the service at Georges. If only there was a happy medium - great price and timely dispatch. I realise courier and postal delays are outside George’s control. I had no option but to get a refund for 3 of the 4 items I ordered, again due to dispatch delays.

Lens fine, but no delivery took a month and there were no updates from Georges to explain delay. Calls to check on progress involved long waits on hold, and even when connected sales staff had no new information.
