Booked and paid 3 weeks ago, only to turn up in Scotland to a third party rental that had no car. offered another car but had to pay more and wanted to stick £1200 on my credit for holding, although I had paid for full insurance. we refused to pay the extra and was told to leave. no refund speak to who you booked it with!! have tried calling and emailing and had no response. avoid at all costs.

They pretended my payment hadn't gone through then tried to take a second one. They don't answer the phone - have had to raise the issue with my bank. Either a rubbish company or a scam.

Did not fulfil our reservation so left us stranded in Dublin and still out of pocket. Poor customer service. Avoid this company

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY TO BOOK A CAR AGAIN. THEY DO NOT HAVE ANY COMMITMENT TO PROVIDE PROMISED SERVICES FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS. I booked a 7-seater automatic car for 3 days from Marrakech Airport (Morocco). When I went to pick up the car, the company Global (United which was renting out the car as their third-party provider) did not have a 7-seater available at the time. Firstly, they offered a 5-seater automatic car. After a long discussion, they offered me to take a manual car (I booked an automatic) and promised to change it to an automatic on the following day to be picked up at a different location in a different city! The car was a disaster: 1- The brake of the car had a bad noise (UNSAFE), 2- The radio was locked, 3- The front wiper did not work, 4- The rear doors didn’t open from the inside. They provided a number to arrange for changing the car which I called many times but no answer!! After taking the manual car, the next day I went to the new location for changing the car and they didn’t have an automatic car ready for us!!! Time and money wasted. I complained to the company and the company did not get back to me at all. I have hired cars from different companies before and never had such a bad service. They did not care about the customers at all. BEWARE OF THEM!

It takes forever for them to pick up the phone, and when they do they're useless and unable to help / resolve. Well worth avoiding.

Firma która niszczy ludziom wakacje, okrada z pieniędzy i ignoruje telefony. Zapłaciłam za wynajęcie auta na 7dni. Po przylocie na miejsce nie było auta, nie było nikogo kto by wyjaśnił co się stało. Firma nie odbiera telefonów.

No cost cancellation and still am charged! they are not responsive on phone and you could not find any email address! Avoid it!

Actual scam. Never received refund or heard back. Actually designed to take your money, manufacture a problem and then not be contactable

Avoid this company as they agents abroad which in Maroco they take your money as deposit and they will never give you the deposit back and they will never answer your calls . And the gotrentalcar.com also scam they never answer you and they put the phone down on you . Please avoid this company

I booked and paid 2 weeks ago and the day before collecting the car they sent me 2 brief mails saying that the booking was cancelled (no motives) at no extra cost to me!!! Don’t use this company!! They are scammers.

Extremely poor service and communication. Ryanair changed my flight times. same day just different times. I contacted gotrentalcars.com several times via e-mail to advise of flight time changes - no reply. I tried to phone and left a message - no reply. Ryanair then cancelled the flights so I had to cancel the car hire. I did receive an automated reply confirming cancellation but had to e-mail to chase the full refund which was due. Eventually I received a reply saying it would take 10 days (which is a disgrace in itself as I paid instantly). 10 days pass and still no refund. Therefore I had to go to the lengths of contacting my credit card company who issues the refund immediately without any problems - now that is customer service. I will NEVER deal with gotrentalcars.com again and if you are not aware, then think twice before booking through them.

Rented a vehicle in the UK via GotRentals and two days later they cancelled my reservation with no reason given. I then tried to contact them without success to get a refund, it has now been sometime therefore l have instructed my credit card company to get involved which meant l had to cancel my credit card. A lot of hassle needless to say l would not use them again.

Company junk don't really buy from them. do they not even respond by phone or email? I had problems with a vehicle that I rented, I had to change the date and that was not possible, I canceled it out of fear of losing all the value and I still lost half of the value and I can't get in touch with them. they are really bad, i am very sad about all this.

Do not reserve/rent from this company. We go totally ripped off! Fifteen fraudulent charges on my credit card. My bank was sending us notifications. We arrived in Portugal after a 14 hour flight. Went to pick up our rental car. The agent at (Europcar) tried very hard to get us to upgrade. We told him NO thank you. The car we reserved was not available so he gave us what was available. We returned the car with a full fuel tank as agreed and they added 30 euros on our finally bill saying the fuel tank was not full. And an extra 190.00 euros for a upgrade. We feel the agent took advantage of us because we are seniors and we were very tired. Word of advise - get everything they ask you to sign in your own language Drop off the car rental when they are open Get the finally bill as soon as you return the car GotRentalCars.com is not helping us resolve this problem with Europcar

The only reason I gave this a 1 star is because I was not given the option to choose 0. I rented a car for 4 days for a trip we were going to take but my fiance had a heart attack the day before we were going to leave. I called to cancel and they told me that because it wasn't within the 24 hour period they will not give us a refund. I can understand ok maybe 1 day but they charged us the entire rental period. This was not our fault. It was a medical emergency and they have the heartless gaul to charge us the entire fee. I will NEVER use this company again. And I would strongly change my reservation if you did or are about to. DON'T DO IT. They will rip you off and not think twice about it.

Do not book with them. You cannot contact them. They have taken money from my account when they shouldn’t have. We are looking into our options but please do not give them your card details.

Should have considered their lower review scoring before I made the booking. A temporary booking was provided and then an email followed to say I needed to send scanned copies of my credit card to an email address. Imagine e any company ever thinking this was acceptable! I said this was far too risky and I wanted to cancel with full refund. Never again not at all progressional

Booked a car in France, at Perpignan airport. No car, no phone being answered, appalling service. They then tried to say it was my fault and their was a phone number for the rental company on the voucher, there was not. Many hours spent on the phone. Intending to take them to court unless they sort it out in the morning. Very dissatisfied
