AVOID...Horrible company. I booked a car online using a debit card - they took the money without any issue. I read the confirmation which said there would be deposit required and i called back asking about that. The gentleman told me it was refundable and payable at the checkout counter by credit card. I told him my son was renting the car and didn't have a credit card. He said the card had to be in his name in which I replied he didn't have a credit card and would have to use his debit/credit card - he never told me that would not work. When we arrived last night to get the card - the agent told us a debit card could not be used. She suggested we reach the company we rented from and have it changed to my name with my son being an additional driver. We tried to reach them for 30 mins receiving a message that all agents were busy and to leave a message and they would call us back. We left over 30 messages - never received a call back. We kept trying and finally received a message saying they were closed and to call back during working hours. Who does business for car rentals at airports where people come in at all hours of the night and not have 24 hour support. The agent at the car rental place told us to speak with them today and tell them we did not qualify for the rental. She said since we did not qualify - they are suppose to refund our money. We contacted them today and was told they would not give us a refund. So we spent $300 on a rental car that we were never able to get. This company sucks - NEVER use them.

Avoid at all cost. 45 minutes in line to pick up. We wanted it for another week but they were going to charge us a $20 a day surcharge. We dropped the car off and went elsewhere.

I booked online for a rental at Ft lauderdale airport. I paid in full, a least I thought I did, when I got to check in at rental desk ( Ace rental ) I was told it would cost me 236.00 more. I protested but, a that point we had to get on with our trip. I would never recommend these agency's.

Do not rent from this agency. My experience was something out of a movie script. After booking a rental, the instructions came by email. I had to take a bus from the Los Angeles airport to a "pick up" lot. The instructions asked me to board an orange line bus which I did. That line took me to the employee lot. I got back on the bus, went back to the airport and called the Got Rental Cars. They told me to get on another color bus line to get to the pick up lot. I did. The pick up van took me to the rental car lot where I spoke to someone on a video monitor through a zoom link. It was then I found out the rental was going to cost me an additional $225.91. I stupidly agreed. The car they wanted me to drive was a 1980's Cougar that was so low I couldn't see over the dash. When I asked for an exchange, I was told it would be an upgrade and more money. There were other issues too. At the end, I paid almost $500 for this bait and switch rental. DO NOT RENT HERE.

Honestly NEVER AGAIN. don't do it. They ruined my holiday, they had all the wrong information and even the wrong company I had hired a car from. They wrong address to collect too. I also hired too baby seats and that wasn't on the order when I got there and I couldn't cancel because I couldn't get hold of them. Just DO NOT DO IT for a few quid saved!

Avoid folks…….hired a small car online and went to pick up? Car supplying company said they didn’t have the car I booked and only had a SUV at an extra cost of £57.60? Apparently gotrentals always do this? So they sell a service that can’t be provided, the car company also said that they couldn’t ring me as they wasn’t passed over any contact details?

TERRIBLE COMPANY Don't book if you don't have a credit card. Very old fashioned system to get you to book and take a booking fee when you cancel. I cancelled within an hour of booking and they still charged me. The only time it was made clear I needed to pay by credit card was after I had paid.

JUST BOOK THROUGH THE ACUTAL RENTAL CAR COMPANY! We Booked a car through GotRentalCars (probably from kayak.com or something) to be picked up at Hertz Grand Cayman. Our flight got delayed a day and I couldn't get ahold of their customer service. When we got to Hertz, they told us the reservation got cancelled and we had to book the same car for more than double what we paid. I've spent the last month trying to get ahold of somebody from their company to get a refund. Learn from our mistake

Had a car rent booking , when needed no one pick up the phone, on pick up day supplier asked for more money, even email confirmation says you payed in full. Will not recommend.

My husband organized our rental car for our planned trip to Mexico almost 3 months in advance of our trip. The day after he confirmed the order, they sent a cancellation. My husband called them and they let him know there was a glitch in their system and the rental car would be ready for us. The day before we left my husband again called Gotrentalcars.com to confirm our rental car, which they confirmed. We arrived in Mexico to find our rental car was cancelled. We ended up arranging a rental car through HERTZ at a higher price for a smaller car (there are 5 of us, luckily our 6th person dropped off or we would have had to pay even more). GotrentalCars.com did charge us for the rental they cancelled. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!!!

We had a great experience in Miami Intl Airport booking via GotRentalCars.com. Everything went really smoothly from pick up to drop off. We will definitely use again

My reservation was canceled. Found out about it in the airport at the time of the pickup. I was never notified about the cancelation. For two months now I'm trying to get a refund from them... Filing a lawsuit....

If negative stars could be "awarded" that would be a more correct score. This ordeal happened April 6, 2023 through May 2023. Subpar subcontractors, TONS of customer service glitches (especially with RentalCover.com insurance) I thought I'd gotten this great price from GotRentalCars.com, but BUYER BEWARE! My initial auto rental search used the consolidator AutoRentals.com, which has proven very reliable over MANY years, but they have screwed up by allowing GotRentalCars.com into their subcontractors. Apparently GotRentalCars.com sub-subcontracts to less than reliable smaller companies. My particular case happened in Miami, when GotRentalCars subcontracted to Fly N Drive, and huge problems ensued. Upon arrival at Fly N Drive's questionable (and shared cramped office,) provisions that were NOT online in the Terms and Conditions I'd read online popped up as I filled out paperwork for the rental car. The agent at Fly N Drive would NOT give me written copies of the "exclusions and limitations" I was supposed to be signing in agreement! I specifically asked for copies of the verbal statements he was making, and he said "I can't do that." HELLO! And the statements he was making were NOT in the Fly N Drive terms I read online (and saved screenshots...) Unbelievable. (My sister was there as we became more and more suspicious, and she'll gladly corroborate this account.) Despite purchasing coverage via the connection between GotRentalCars and RentalCover.com, Fly N Drive wanted me to buy THEIR insurance. If I didn't buy their own insurance, then I had to put a $4000 deposit on my credit card! The GotRentalCars T&C's don't quite explain this, either. I was NOT attempting to use my own car insurance for this, nor was I attempting to use the coverage provided by my credit card, as I normally do with international auto rental agencies. I refused to take the car after also finding out that I could NOT take it out of the state. LOL! The final blow. I got reassurances from Fly N Drive that the whole transaction was nullified. The next day, when I called GotRentalCars,com, I got the same VERBAL response, not to worry, full refunds would be in order. GotRentalCars issued a refund to my credit card for the rental. Despite paying for the insurance coverage via GotRentalCars, RentalCover.com refused to issue the insurance refund. Here's where the ridiculous argument started, GotRentalCars told me I'd have to contact RentalCover.com, and upon doing so, RentalCover.com responded (never any HUMAN via telephone!) that the whole refund had to be done via GotRentalCars.com! Ludicrous! Sending me in circles with no resolution, NOTHING. (And YES, when I hit a brick wall with RentalCover.com, because they ONLY have a website and no customer service telephone contact number, nor any email contact, nothing, I called GotRentalCars.com again, and they had NO SOLUTION.) I settled the whole thing by providing copious documentation to my credit card company (thank you, Capital One) and at this point, they're even investigating fraud and reporting the incidents to the Better Business Bureau. Cap One has issued full refunds for the auto rental as well as the insurance, but these are tenuous as they review the 30-40 documents I've submitted. If you're planning to use this company, make sure you DOCUMENT everything so your credit card company might be able to get your money back when things go wrong! Tip for consumers: My review says it all.

SCAMMERS BEWARNED they take your money in advance for car rental when you try to cancel months in advance they don’t refund so your out of pocket thousands of ££££ and have to reclaim from your card provider !!! AVOID these SCAMMERS of distinction !!!

No shuttle came to pick up customers. A few of us Ubered over, only to find a line coming out the door, computers not working and no cars! We all walked across the street and rented cars from another company. Tried to call GotRentalCars.com multiple times to discuss. They hung up 3 times and now will not answer the phone: Beware of their 3rd party insurance as well! Worst experience I have ever had! I have never taken the time to post a bad review before, but this was the worst bunch of employees, EVER!

Avoid this company!! I had done that many reviews I am sick of talking about it but want to stop people having the same experience. Still own me £530 which was taken out of my account for damages I didnt do. I paid full insurance cover. Fobbed off every time I call them. The foreign people on the end of the phone really dont care they know its a scam and are paid to deal with that adgenda. Please just pay a little extra. I know use SIXT.

Avoid at all costs. Still waiting for a refund after 3 months. No contact at all and you get fobbed off if you speak to them. Absolutely appalling company AVOID!

Awful awful company do not use!! You have no ability to contact them whatsoever . Look at their basic website, graphics etc it tells you what form of company. Had to revert to credit card company to get refund back ! No social media links as they dare not risk for fear of bad online publicity. AVOID

Awful company, looking for an inexpensive rental and this company was priced right - you really do get what you pay for. They require a credit card to make the reservation - reasonable request, most companies do. They state they won't charge the card until you pick up the car. They charged the full amount the day of the reservation, when I cancelled the reservation the very next day I was told I would be charged a cancellation fee for the "late cancellation notice" and I would be refunded within 10 days. It's been several weeks, they have a phone number that nobody answers and have never refunded my $(which wasn't supposed to be charged) - they are a complete rip off and a nightmare to deal with. Spend the extra $10 and rent with a reputable company. This company is pure trash, absolute garbage. Had to have my credit card dispute the bogus charge - they never responded to any communication from me - ever. They suck beyond compare - BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Was mislead or lied to from the outset. I would advise anyone to anyone this broker as they were as bad at the car rental company said I would receive a full refund and nothing was processed m I got a verbal confirmation multiple times yet nothing was sorted out. Waste of hours in the phone. Don't bother using them. If customer service is only there to lead you along and lie then what is the point
