Awful company, looking for an inexpensive rental and this company was priced right - you really do get what you pay for. They require a credit card to make the reservation - reasonable request, most companies do. They state they won't charge the card until you pick up the car. They charged the full amount the day of the reservation, when I cancelled the reservation the very next day I was told I would be charged a cancellation fee for the "late cancellation notice" and I would be refunded within 10 days. It's been several weeks, they have a phone number that nobody answers and have never refunded my $(which wasn't supposed to be charged) - they are a complete rip off and a nightmare to deal with. Spend the extra $10 and rent with a reputable company. This company is pure trash, absolute garbage. Had to have my credit card dispute the bogus charge - they never responded to any communication from me - ever. They suck beyond compare - BUYER BEWARE!!!!!

Was mislead or lied to from the outset. I would advise anyone to anyone this broker as they were as bad at the car rental company said I would receive a full refund and nothing was processed m I got a verbal confirmation multiple times yet nothing was sorted out. Waste of hours in the phone. Don't bother using them. If customer service is only there to lead you along and lie then what is the point

got to the airport to collect the car, Budget didn't have a car ready, asking me to wait 4-5 hours - told them where to go flipping company without contact detail, no one answer the calls, will raise a charge back with the credit card

BEWARE- Was not able to use rental car on the day so phoned and was told I would get charged a fee of 119 on the whole amount of 466. As it was me cancelling I expected a charge. Problem is that after being told it may take up to ten days, 2 phone calls and an email to the French head office and still no refund after nearly a month. Was fobbed off on the phone. Have now raised a dispute through my credit card company.

AVOID THIS COMPANY trading as BSPAuto (and the Europcar outlet in Cherbourg). As 204 other people have pointed out on Google reviews, BSPAUTO are basically running an easy money-making scam. They allow you to book a car at a time that would be impossible for the local agency to fulfil. For example at the same time as their local supplier, in my case Europcar, closes. They then take your money and there is nothing you can do. They trot out the same excuse that you arrived late. In my case I booked to pick up a car at 12pm. Europcar was the local supplier. Even though I phoned them at 11.45am the Europcar office was already closed and had an out of office recording on. Even though BSPAuto staff phoned Europcar there was no reply. BSPAuto also said I could pick up the car at 2pm instead, when the Europcar outlet would reopen. But they were wrong. The Europcar office is always closed on a Saturday afternoon. As it was public holiday they were closed Sunday and Monday also. They suggested we come back on Tuesday if we still wanted the car. Our precious family holiday ruined. In any other business this would be called robbery. We went to another agency in Cherbourg who were well aware of this scam. Shame on a reputable organisation like Europcar to associate themselves with such immoral practices. There are many rental companies out there so why would anyone chose BSPAUTO even if you save a few Euros. People matter but not to BSPAUTO.

Very bad company to deal with you can never get in contact with them once you book a car they take your money and that's it it takes weeks to get an email back I booked a car through them and it changes then to bsp auto then who are in France anyway I paid for the car with insurance I had to collect the car off thrifty in fuerteventura Airport. that's another bad company to deal with who proceeded to tel me after an early morning flight I had no insurance and would not take our email I received from this dodgy company bsp auto said I must pay a further 224 euro for insurance and would not give us a car until we paid this money I was onto bsp auto they said I took out the insurance its nothing to do with them so it's all a big scam they have going the car for 2 weeks in July 23 cost me about 550euro so take my advice and use a reputable company when booking a car I could have rented a nice suv for then money this cost and it wasn't a nice car I got either

Booked on 4th July for a rental starting 21st July and they cancelled my booking on 20th July @ 7.30pm. Ridiculous company. Don't use

Hi all. We’ve booked a rental car in February 2023 using Check24 comparison portal. Gotrentalcars (owned by BSP Group) was the provider for Europcar, Pick up location was Frankfurt Airport, drop off Pforzheim in March 2023. At pick up the Europcar staff told us Gotrentalcars did not transfer the full amount of the lease. So we had to pay the difference of EUR 190 otherwise we wouldn’t get the car. OK after a 25 hour flight from AUS you bite the bullet, just to go on with your travel. But we complaint immediately and tried to get an explanation on the same day with Check24 and Gotrentalcars. We have never received a reply or explanation on our emails from Gotrentalcars. Check 24 however confirmed, that Gotrentalcars should have transferred the total lease to Europcar and we would have only to pay the one-way fee at pick up, which we knew about in advance. It took us 4 month and several emails and follow ups with Check24 to finally get our refund. Summary: Our experience with Gotrentalcars (BSP) - hands off. They are in our opinion a dreadful company. Customer service is a joke. We will never ever book again with them.

Horrible unhelpful company. Couldn't use the insurance included in their charge because I had a "glitch" with my credit card. Had to pay rental company for an alternative, so asked gotrental for a refund of the unused insurance. Their reply - it wasn't included. That despite it stating so on their invoice/voucher, including even stating the (exorbitant) excess. They just denied it existed and basically said go away.

Paid online for a rental car only to get a call that the car was not even available and then told that I had to wait 10 working days for a refund, which meant that I couldn’t book another car, zero help on the phone, atrocious scam company.

Hired a car over a week ago they got dates wrong so had to pay again said I’d be refunded straight away but then said I have to wait ten working days Didn’t even get a car in the end asked them to cancel my payments they said they would but didn’t rang there London office said give me head offices number they said they don’t know it ask who was there boss they said don’t know now they won’t answer my calls and I still don’t have my money back please do not use this company

Agreed a price at checkout of £356. I happend to log back in later and the price had been increased to £516 without any notification or authorisation to charge my card this amount. Customer service stated that is how it works. Avoid!!

Would have given 0 rating if possible. GotRental completely messed up our tip by giving us the wrong information regarding the minimum driving license validity. We were told that the minimum driving license validity should be 1 year (which is also written in the email we received - screenshots attached), however when we reached at the Budget pick up point at Belfast city airport - they said they cannot let us hire the car as the minimum validity is 2 years. Also, tried calling on the number 02073737354, where the agent said to forward the email with 1 year validity, which I did and he then said that it could have been amended by us - not sure why would I lie about this, fly all the way from london, book AirBnBs around Northern Ireland - I am not that stupid to assume I would have been able to rent a car with my license when I would have been told that needed 2 years license validity. The agent on the phone also said that he was powerless and could not help us and that we should fill in this complaints form. The agent also said that I’ll receive a call from a supervisor, which I would most certainly require at this stage and that too asap. I am absolutely disappointed with the service as it has completely ruined my trip and plans for Easter holidays. Also, now that I try to find a car - firstly there are none available to rent at the last minute and secondly ones available are 3x expensive than the price I had agreed to pay. I will like to get my refund asap and also be compensated for ruining my plans and other inconvenience caused.

We have used GotRentCars to rent a car in Germany from Herz/Thrifty. Upon arrival at the airport, we were informed that Herz was not able to provide a car for us bpooked by GotRentCars so we had to arrange alternative transport. Since that we have phoned and emailed GotRentalCars numerous times to get a refund. The emails stayed unanswered, our phone calls completely ignored as if this company does not exist! I would be very cautious using this company for your rental choice as you might never receive a car, neither would you get a refund!!!

Worst Customer Service ever! I had a problem with the car I rented in Dec '22. It's been 3 months and I'm still waiting for a response. They don't answer emails, or through the online platform, and the customer service phone that they have in the website (*******866) doesn't exist!

FRAUDS!!!!!. SCAM These are a third party company offering you cheap car hire. You get to car rental place and they use Hertz, Thrifty or dollar. You then have to pay the car hire company full price. So you end up £100+ out of pocket. GO DIRECT AND SAVE YOUR MONEY. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS.

THIS IS A SCAM I tried twice to reserve a car through GOTrentalCars.com and on the 3rd time I receieved my booking voucher, I arrived at the airport after a 10 hour flight with 2 children in tow and waited 45 min in the que to be told that they cancelled my reservation BUT GotRentalCars.com charged the full amount to my card and I can't through to anyone to get a refund THIS COMPANY IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!!!!!! DO NOT USE !!!!!
