“Ghost cost 130 dollars for yard, stopped working right after I turned them on. Wish I had of read reviews,I even cancelled order it was sent anyway,that's the red flag. Word to the wise,go to home Depot, this company are rip off artist.”
“I ordered three 34” seat height bar chairs. I called customer service beforehand to make sure they actually had stools that height and that they were in stock. I was assured that they did and so I ordered them. The three stools weee all counter height not bar height. When I spoke to customer service they could not explain the problem.
At the time I was pleased to hear they would pick them up for return. Otherwise I’m not sure how I would have arranged for the return given the size of the boxes.
That was Thursday and I was told they would be picked up on the next day. The boxes were to be left outside.
I was away and unable to verify pick up.
On Sunday a neighbor called to question why they were out front.
I was assured they would be picked up Monday, Labor Day, or Tuesday at the latest. I called on Tuesday to be advised they would be picked yap midday.
Again, no pickup.
Yet another person advised that I could call UPS myself! I was then told UPS has 5 days to pick up return packages. She said most people just bring the packages in and out daily waiting for the pickup- not something I can do at a distance.
I am now waiting to see if they are picked up before “Fridays the latest”.
I got no response to who is responsible if they are stolen in the meantime.
I have been a customer for a number of years but I will not be a customer again.
Last note- they gave me a 25. Gift certificate for my troubles!”
“Wood slat broke on rocking chair. Because it was purchased 1 year ago it no longer falls within warranty. I asked to purchase a slat and was told Grandin Road no longer carries this product so can't sell the parts for it. I wasted hundreds of dollars on a product I cannot use. As is the chair has dangerous wood splinters where the slat use to be. Also customer service kept trying to prompt/ bait me to say I had improperly cared for or misused the chair. What a waste, and disappointment. Welcome to the world of customer NO service.”
“Beautiful furniture, high quality. I just want to warn you, though, that their kilim throw pillows are awful. Beautiful, but unbearably scratchy. Everyone throws them on the floor, because they’re uncomfortable. But I’ve bought many things from Grandin Road that I am very happy with.”
“A few years ago I ordered a patio table for outdoor use. It was winter before it arrived. Now it has happened again. A week ago I ordered some baskets. I will receive them IN TWO MONTHS. I certainly never expected Amazon prime delivery time but 2 months is ridiculous. Last order to these guys.”
“Bought a couch from Grandin Road, with shipping it came to just over $2200. The couch had substantial damage to top left corner near headrest. Wanted to check it at delivery but shippers refused and said it was “drop and go” which was a new one on me. The company offered a $258 dollar refund. Never again, buyer beware.”
“Grandin road did not care that the delivery service that they used left my package out at the road my home sits 75 feet from the road the package could have been stolen I called customer service and they told me to call the company that delivered the package they did not care how it was handled. I will not order from them again.”
“I agree with others that there customer service is terrible. Their shipment speed was a week. When I opened the box they had sent me the wrong item. I ordered a Halloween bock and they sent me a pumpkin. Then I call them and they tell me they have my correct item on back order. Their response is you can wait or we will give you a refund. By the way, we want you to box up the wrong item, and take it to the ups store and we will wait for it before we ship the correct item. They act like it was my mistake rather than theirs. They certainly have no desire to provide good customer service. I understand people can make a mistake however when a mistake is made customer service should be empowered to make amends for the mistake. If my company had made that kind of mistake I would simply give the customer the incorrectly shipped item especially since it is not an expensive item.”
“I should have given them a negative (-10) review but it didn't go past a 1! I ordered a gift for friends, it was a Christmas decoration. When I ordered, it was to ship on Nov 29 and arrive Dec 2-8. Now it is on back order. They probably don't even have any intent to get any in. I've tried to get item for two years now! If you try to order now (11/18/21), it says "it ships Nov 2 of2022! but so many people have ordered it today so hurry up!"What a disappointment,! “We ordered patio furniture including a wood chair and loveseat. The loveseat came broken. The second one came broken, and the third turned out to be a black table. We decided to order two chairs instead of the loveseat. One of the chairs came broken. We sent it back and asked that one set of cushions be canceled. Both sets of cushions were canceled and we had to reorder and go to the back of the line. The cushion is supposed to arrive Monday, almost two months since we started dealing with them. We also just got the financial part settled, although I think we were shorted a few dollars (hard to tell, since the shipping is not itemized). I do think the customer and her ice was very good and extremely responsive, but the warehouse, packaging and shipping were a nightmare.”
