I got lumped onto their 'standard' tarrif as I moved into a property where the previous tenants used this company. Their standard tariff is just so unbelievably expensive. 2.5x per day more expensive than the company I have since moved to, on the same property. Their customer services approach since has been zero common sense too. Is a terrible way to run a company, trapping people like that.

They couldn’t resolve my problems with redeeming my perks rewards even though I had lots owing to me . I called and emailed them so many times and each time they said they would re send the voucher . This never happened

I was transferred to Green Star Energy when Future Energy became bankrupt. I stayed with them after a year and renewed as the rates were very competitive. I had not experienced the need to contact customer service too much as I was in credit and did not need to pay too much attention to the bill. However, here are some of my experiences with this company. After I switched to a direct debit, the company instantly raised it to double the amount I had set. I left it as I assumed I would gather some credit ready for the winter. However the company has failed to generate any bills for over a year. I have contacted the customer service (Now overseas call center) to find out why and resolve the issue. To which the employees are unsure of how to help as their limited resources given to them do not help. They log a complaint and an issue only to be told that I would be contacted within 48 hours, by email as the billing department does not have a phone line! I was very patient to begin with but after waiting 4 days for a response and two weeks later still no bills and an account stating over £600 credit I am a little less patient. The last bill generated was over a year ago now and only generated last week. It is like banging my head off a brick wall. I advise to avoid at all costs.

Was in credit over 200 odd pounds and they kept putting the monthly money up and cant use the rewards as you dont earn enough points... and when left over 2 months ago still not had refund off my money.. I'm going through the omnibus man

If I could rate no star I would.....awful company everyone stay well away. They increase your direct debits without notifying you! Apparently my bill increases in he summer when don't use the heating.......I cancelled my direct debit as they were attempting to increase dd and supply take the revised amount. Watch on your bills it states you are on the cheapest tariff for both electric and gas, but this is a lie as they changed me once I complained to he Omudsman (for what use they were). This company is the worst utilities company I have ever been with. No customer service or complaints process they just ignore and keep sending threatening notice letters...

Account closed- paying off balance with arrangement. However keep getting threatening letters/emails the balance is different on every single letter- paid u too early so was told that broke the arrangement- thats your systems problem not mine! U set an arrangement i knew nothing about, u told me I didn’t pay june when i did! Got bank statements to prove it! This is classes as harassment in uk and im taking all your emails to a solicitor. You’re an absolute joke of a company

Moved to Greenstar to save money and did anything but. Electricity bill nearly doubled, customer service was awful and impossible to resolve any complain. DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Green Star are my supplier and I also have British Gas Homecare, who informed me I need Green Star to fit an isolation switch before they can cover work to stop a fuse tripping. I rang Green Star twice; first they told me to call back because there were no engineers available. I called back, and the person I spoke to had no clue what I was talking about, so abandoned the call. And as a disabled pensioner, I'm on their vulnerable customer list. Avoid this company

Avoid this company! Worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Companies like this should be shut down, customer service non existent. Had a complaint with this company for over 9 months after they decided to switch my meter readings to benefit themselves. Been through the ombudsman process twice now still not been corrected.

Green Star Energy Hell. Do not deserve 1 star. Avoid or switch before this happens to you. I have had an ongoing issue since my new gas meter was fitted in April 2018 and it still hasn’t been registered with the National Grid! My gas bill has escalated out of control £1200.00 DR over a 6 month period (for a single person in a 1 bed flat). What are they doing about it? Absolutely nothing! Complaint after complaint and failed promise after failed promise since December 18. THey even ignored the Ombudsman so I am having to make a further case against them. I am being held at ransom by this company through no fault of my own and unable to change supplier until my meter is registered and this is resolved. I have contacted my local MP, Which, Watchdog and Guardian Consumer support because this company are so corrupt in their dealings with their customers and all of the poor reviews really concerns me.

I have been trying since the beginning of April to get my inlaws final invoices with correct bill dates and readings to allow me to settle and close the account and still have not received these after sending weekly emails requesting this. No point in calling as nothing happens and I have also had letters threatening debt collectors. Dreadful customer service when people are trying to settle and close the account. Would recommend that people avoid dealing with this company.

Green star energy have illegally took over my 97 yr olds dual fuel plan and because he didn't understand what was happening they are sending threats of recovery firms chasing the alleged debt... SHAME ON YOU GREEN STAR this man is 97 and is very frightened about the threats you are sending

They even don't deserve any star, Very poor services, absolutely rubbish, I was using this company for more than a year, so when I saw a reasonable deal online, I made a request to switched over, surprisingly they canceled my transfer over to new supplier, then I went to energy ombudsman with my evidence, after three months long battle they released me with NOC. Now I'm agreed to settle the payment, they sent me four different figures in the last three months £700, £166, £313, and now £818. All on an email asking me to pay, no bill, just an email. Now they are finally threatening me by serving legal notice for not paying. No idea on how to deal with this customer.

I started with Greenstar in March this year gave my starting reading as requested a few days later they took a direct debit of 75.00 but since then I have been unable to log on to there website to give future readings just kept saying they don't recognise my details so they have been estimating the readings now my previous supplier was charging me 56.00 per month and when I left I was in credit after a plenty of phone calls which seem to be a waste of time I decided to change to another supplier but only after being with them for 3 months my bill is over 360.00 considering it was a lot more than I previously paid I disputed the bill because I live on my own in a 1 bedroom bungalow asked for a detailed bill but still no response they have taken 4 direct debits but still saying I owe them 75.00 so my advice would be avoid this company like the plague

Shocking customer service nothing but trouble and ongoing problems lasting over a year after leaving. Problems not solved just hang up on you saying you were the one hanging up and they put phone down on desk waiting for you to end call.

Furious, I have given Green Star readings on a regular basis. I decided to switch to another supplier. Without warning they took £1065 from my bank account as my final bill. I managed to get it reversed but now have to negotiate & pay! How on earth can you give regular readings & end up £1065 out???? Now I am looking at debt collection as I can’t pay that amount! If it was under for so long why wasn’t it adjusted monthly? I am really upset & angry I will also put this in every site to warn people!
