Unfortunately the reality was quite different! - We could not access our 24/7 GW Purchase Account (despite raising this issue very early on) and my 24/7 GW Sale Account was never kept up to date - as good as useless. - We had numerous unanswered queries / questions - they just seemed to drift on - We received very few unprompted updates - only when we pushed - The only calls we received were at the end of the process when Kellie took over our files - to be fair Kellie worked really hard to help push things over the line The costs were in line with the original quotes but overall a very average service.

Overall good service need some improvements with getting hold of the person that is dealing with your case.

Good service, though I sometimes felt that nothing happened until they were pushed. There was one small problem to overcome regarding a new law which they seemed to think was my job to sort out, despite me paying them for their legal knowledge!

Very lax in communication, had to chase people to find out what was wanted and happening. Don't think I would recommend you.

Communication was very poor. I was encouraged to leave an email instead of calling the office and that a member of staff would reply in due course. Never received a reply and 5 days later I had to call the office which I should have done. Now left hanging not knowing when the money will be in our account?

GW Legal eventually completed our house purchase, but it seemed to take a lot of work from our end. Repeated emails went unanswered for weeks; when responses did come they were barely legible; simple instructions seemed to get lost in translation; colleagues in the same department gave us contradictory advice. The whole process gave me the impression they just didn't really care.

Did what had to be done but I noticed that when Clare phoned me she never left a voicemail to call her back and when I rang her back (seeing the missed call on my phone) I always had to leave a message for her to call me back. Clare never answered my call when I actually rang

The Solicitor that visited me was professional & easy to deal with, in fact all staff iI spoke towers pleasant & professional However, the initial call to book the appointment & advise me of the next steps should have provided more comprehensive information about the next steps. It would be helpful , if, on that initial introductory call, I had been advised: * All the necessary paperwork I would need to provide. Because I was a cash buyer for my present home, I need to provide completion letters for this property & my prior property for proof money laundering not involved. * My granddaughter needed to sign a form releasing any tenancy rights. At the time the pack, she was away and I did not open her letter as addressed to her. It was only when I contacted my Case Handler that I was told an independent Solicitor had to witness the form being signed

Poor communication throughout the process. Very little by way of updates. Completed in the end which was a relief however basic errors made along the way that extended the process.

The whole process was dragged out over some 4 months. There always seemed to be an obstacle to surmount. Even so, I dealt with matters without delay, but those dealing with my application did not appear to share the urgency. Things were so delayed it enabled the lenders to increase the loan % by almost double which cost me over £200,000 more in settlement. I thought solicitors were supposed to fight for their clients, but this has not happened. I was even charged £75 for a letter which I did not ask for and did not need. My permission was not even sought and I would like this money returned to me. I feel let down and unsupported and am relieved this sorry state of affairs has finally ended. I must say those I spoke to were polite and friendly.

Age partnership recomended GWlegal so that the job would get done quicker. we found WGlegal slow to reply to our queries, and their phone was always on voicemail. Other than that they got the job done

Communication could be a lot better as only ever received pdfs without much explanation and final pdf had a shortfall on it which not clear who should pay.

I was upset when the continual hassle of establishing where the £100k came from we had saved this money in the end I had to furnish you with an 85 page of metro statements to prove to you it was all above board I furnished you with my accountants annual accounts showing my income before and after covid Thank you for finalizing
