“Our equity release wasn’t the most straightforward due to various exigencies. But, Alex, who was my ‘ go to’ person has been absolutely brilliant. All of my queries, and any aspect that I wanted to discuss with him, were met with courtesy and professionalism. And, that most important of attitudes, talking to me and allowing no intimation of patronisation on account of my age. A five star service.”

“Communication - both in writing and on the phone - was consistently clear. The tone was entirely appropriate. Michael’s home visit was effective with sensible measures to protect us all from possible infection at this time. Alexandra was friendly and effective in helping us over a couple of bumps in the road (not of GW’s making). We are very pleased with the service we received.”

“GWLegal was not chosen by us. It was the legal company acting for Age Partnership, the company we selected to access equity release from our property. So, in that regard, they carried out what I would have expected from a legal company. I had to correct figures on a few occasions but that was not the fault of GWLegal as they were only relaying information from Age Partnership which got things wrong on several levels, but that is another story.”

“Everyone was pleasant to talk to on the telephone. The solicitor who came to our house was thorough and explained every part of the procedure and documents in detail to ensure that we understood the whole process. “Despite all the requested paperwork from me having being posted and/or emailed in good time to yourselves, the inexplicable delay on your part meant that it almost cost me the original interest rate agreement with Age Partnership. This, I must stress, was not due to the current difficulties re Coronavirus. The matter should have been settled long before. I felt ignored and uninformed.”
