“The map of Belfast was the most poorly constructed puzzle I've ever encountered. It wasn't properly cut. Many pieces were stuck together, often 4 or 6 at a time. The picture wasn't the same shade as the pieces, which made it hard to identify the very tiny buildings. And the pieces didn't lock together well. I'd never buy another from this company.”
“I purchased a personalised birth date jigsaw front page of The Times. It is very disappointing and is of poor quality.
The much heralded front page consists only of adverts and births, marriages and deaths columns and the smudgy black and white newsprint is tiny. Why even offer such an awful product? This jigsaw can only be described as underwhelming, disappointing and a complete waste of money. Without doubt It is the worst gift I have ever bought and can not imagine it ever being used.
Contacting this company was a complete waste of time - no idea of customer service. Buyer beware.”
“I have been ordering many items for my grandchildren for a few years now and they have always been thrilled with them. So have I...
This xmas I bought them The Amazing Music Machine, the ping, pong game and the Trampoline Tennis and all certainly exceeded expectations.
They love them.
I have always found the company's customer service, delivery and price exceptional.
I will continue to return to their catalogue before shopping for more gifts.”
“I returned a game some weeks ago and was promised a refund by Melanie on the 13th October. subject to it being unused and in original packing which it was.
No refund has been made and it looks ( in view of other reviews) as if this is a none starter
A poor way of a 'small family business' to behave.”
“Purchased several items from this Company one of which a jigsaw which stated to be man made. When this arrived I was not happy and felt the item was mass produced and not suitable for a 7 year old far too difficult to put together. I applied for a refund. When I stated this on a negative feedback the Managing Director contacted me and I have been floored by his appalling verbal attack on me. As I had questioned the product he applied I had questioned his integrity which he did not appreciate. He applied I had called him a liar because I had questioned the product (my consumer right) and did not appreciate ignorant people who think they know better (presumably he means his customers) and strongly suggested I learnt some manners! I replied how appalled I was at his rudeness. He should be setting an example as MD of the Company. I said I would be taking this further to which he replied “Enjoy”. If this is the sort of individual running a Company then heaven help them.”
“I purchased a game in the US while on vacation. Upon returning home to another state, I realized that 1 piece was missing, and could not return to the original store. I contacted the Happy Puzzle Company and they had a new piece at my door, shipped to me from the UK, within 1 week. I am very grateful for their quick, excellent customer support.”
“The company took my money but NEVER delivered the goods. I tried contacting them multiple time but got no where. I also asked for a refund as I had not recieved the item I ordered, but to date have had NO response from the HAPPY PUZZLE COMPANY. In my opinion one one should buy from this company as you just get ripped off”
“Poor customer service . The game I bought was not suitable for the age advertised. This was constructive critism . I returned the item . It was returned to me stating the manufacturers opinion. On the box it states suitable for eight plus inside the box it claims seven plus. The manufacturer needs to be clearer.”
“My wife and I are 90 and 93 . We have 6 great grand children . This year we were unable to see them , so we chose all their presents from your catalogue which you kindly sent to their 3 addresses .They were a resounding success . as one of our daughters in law wrote " The games you bought for the children are a fantastic -they played with them all day 25th @26th . In fact we all did including my mum and dad .Thank you so much .”
“Very bad experience. Ordered game in October for Christmas time, money was taken, but my item haven't been sent to me.
Very disappointed, won't recommend anyone this company”
“My parcel was delivered today soaking wet and unusable. The courier left it in my covered porch with the dry side facing up (presumably so he could take a picture of it looking in good condition). I was at home and took it in immediately after the delivery. The other side of the packaging box was soaking wet and fell apart as I lifted it. The water had soaked through to the game inside and has discoloured the box. I called customer services but got a voicemail that because of Covid all customer services queries must be by email (strange though that when placing an order you can speak to a real person....). Customer services on the website says it will respond in two working days. I called the order line to reorder as it is a Christmas gift and had to pay again for the puzzle and the postage. Very disappointing service, though I have bought many items before and love the products.”
“Company doesn’t have good infrastructure as couldn’t manage to change the delivery address and sent puzzle to the wrong house! Poor customer service attitude and ignored when things got too hard for them.”

“What a brilliant company. I purchased the genius square last christmas and it was brilliant fun. Unfortunately one of the grandchildren lost one of the blocker pieces, I emailed the company and asked if they did spares and if so could i purchase one, the lovely company said yes no problem will put one in the post free of charge”
“My husband purchased a puzzle of our local town, the fit of the puzzle, (and we've done literally thousands) is the worst we have ever come across, very frustrating, I'm worried now because I previously purchased an even more expensive one as a gift, I darent ask what that was like”
“I recently bought the MOBI Maths game for my 5 year old grandson who is a year ahead in Maths. Although the description said from age 6, when the item arrived the label said from age 8. However I think it can be adapted to make it easier and he will be able to use it for a few years. An excellent idea for children who like numbers and a very handy bag that means the game can easily be transported.”
“Bought COGGY very difficult to understand the tasks, bearing in mind this is suitable for 6 year olds. The cogs did not rotate and were very stiff even to straighten out. When doing the challenges it appears you have to have white spaces, but in fact it is not so, no white cogs, very misleading. Adults or older children might get it.
I must just add that we have normally been delighted with goods from The Happy Puzzle Company.”
