They don't reply to emails in time and have left me hanging around for 8 weeks during which time I've had to cancel two appointments and have still not been seen. Really disappointed I read good reviews about them, it just hasn't been my experience.

Joined as the pricing was good in comparison to others and initial call was excellent. There is a reason for this Pricing!!!!! First time we tried to claim they said it my wife had experienced symptoms 2 yrs ago even though she hadnt and therefore it was classified as a previous condition even though she did not know she had the issue until 7 days ago via her GP apt! COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME. They will try and get out of any claim

First impressions were excellent with all explanations done in a clear and friendly way by Jo. I like that Spire saw fit to team up with April over other providers. Reviews of other providers were not what I would expect where April was very much more favourable.

Have found Jo Fry so helpful and patient with all our questions before joining nothing has been too much for her . Can not say how efficient they are when making a claim as we have just joined and hopefully it will be a long time before we will find out .

I can only review the sign up process as I have just joined and can't speak of their claims process etc. Jo was excellent, clearly explaining the policy as well as what would and would not be covered. Couldn't have been easier to sign up thanks to Jo.

Jo explained the policy very clearly, answering all questions honestly and with no hype. I appreciate someone who is straightforward and does not try to be pushy but lays out all the facts and leaves you to make a decision without pressure. Thank you very much

Nicky was excellent, able to reach her on a direct line and she had excellent contact with the underwriter to sort out my queries. Great to able to speak to the same person throughout the process, with most companies you never speak to the same person twice. Not previously heard of the company, delighted I am now a client.

Nicky Davies was very patient and helpful, explaining in detail the policy I was interested in. I was very slow in making a decision to take out the policy but she put me under no pressure and was very professional and thorough. She answered all of my question clearly and I have no hesitation in recommending her. April's policy does not have a no claims system. Other companies can penalise you for making a claim and one or two claims could make your policy too expensive in the medium to long term. I can't comment on April UK's claims handling but I hope I never have to.

Jo was very helpful and informative in setting up the account and April pricing structure was significantly cheaper than rival health providers.

I've chosen "April" because it offers contributions to complimentary treatments as well as dental work and glasses. Every time I filed a claim, the service was excellent and prompt. I highly recommend this company. Sonja Carigiet, Bristol 2/06/2016

I have just joined APRIL UK because they were very clear, open and easy to understand. I dealt with Jo Fry, who was knowledgable, no jargon and understood exactly what I was after. She answered all my queries and what she didn't know was found within 1 hour. The policy itself is more comprehensive than others I looked at, with very few exclusions (which were all the standard ones you would expect, such as elective surgery). I am looking forward to having a safe pair of hands in Shire Hospitals moving forward!!

I have had a Family policy for over 3 years and have made a number of claims over the years i have always found April very good to deal with. as long as you provide them with the required information they pay straight into your bank account. It is a good policy with a good level of cover at a good price.

My advisor Jo dealt with all my questions and queries quickly and efficiently, besides being very pleasant to talk to. I chose to go with April as my premium was very competitive against other insurers and I prefer the Spire Hospitals. I hope I never have to use the service cover provided, but feel confident that should I need to it will be dealt with in the same efficient way as selling the policy.
