Both me and my boyfriend were involved in a car accident. Went through national accident health line and were passed on to HJA, literally the next day we had somebody come out so we could sign the paper work, there was a two week period before they got the ball rolling. This was for cancellation, we was told that the solicitor has this time to prepare the paper work and decide what actions to take. We claimed late March. I had to go for a professional check up with their specialist ( I had already been hospital 3 times). This took only 5 minutes but was about a 25 minute drive from me and I don't drive, do I had to rely on someone else to get me there. (My partners was 5 minutes from our house and he does drive!) . The appointment was at the end of April, around 2 weeks later I got a letter and a copy of the medical results, this had what my claim was worth and the sum that they would Ask for. I had to sign and Send this back, along with any loss of earnings, medication costs etc. Solicitor was back to me almost immediately and let me know he had it and would start negotiation. 2 weeks ago (today's date:12.07.26) I received a phone call to tell me the negotiations that were made and to ask if I was happy for them to accept the offer. My claim was £400 more than what they deemed was worth and £1100 less than asked for. ( just to give an idea of not to expect the full asking offer). I'm happy with my claim and feel that we were treated well by the company, sometimes there was small communication and other times we were constantly on the phone of emailing. It is a waiting game and don't be shocked to go a few weeks without any contact. We are very happy with the service and just waiting to receive the check (4/6 weeks from settlement date). Hope this has helped anybody wondering, I wish I had more of an idea before. Thank you HJA.

The lawyers at Hodge jones and Allen took up my claim two months after my accident. From day one, they were honest and diligent. They made my life easy, as I did not have to be in unnecessary appointments. From start to finish. Very professional.

The end result of my case was a good one. However, communication with the firm was not good. The case was closed twice ( I was eventually told) without explanation or notification. The final letter informing us of the outcome did not have a stamp so I had to pay £2 to retrieve it from the post office. The letter referred to another person - I assume the previous client that the same letter had been written to. Whenever anything was sent for me to return, the letter would say there was a prepaid envelope included - there never was. However, the outcome of the case was good and the barrister who represented us was also good.

I felt you handled my case slowly and I feel you took a large portion of my compensation which I found to be harsh. Other legal. Teams do 100pasent of the compensation to the client so if you are asking me would i recommend you to others the awnser would be no I would not. Yours Mrs susan Sullivan

Dear Mrs Sullivan, thank you for your feedback. We're obviously disappointed that you were not entirely happy with our service and your comments have been passed to the solicitor who handled your case. Hodge Jones & Allen offers various funding arrangements dependent on the nature of the case and all deductions are agreed at the beginning of the case. The time it takes to settle a case will vary dependent on the complexity of the matter.

My case is took very long which I tried to understand. Unfortunately now at the final stage it is impossible for me to contact my solicitor. I've been calling, leaving messages at the reception, emailing since February to get any update and still nothing. My solicitor can't be bother to call me back to at least say "I'm still waiting for confirmation and as soon as I know anything I will let you know". I feel it is because we don't pay them, they can't be bother to keep us updated.

The length of time taken to get matter into court nearly 3 years and the number of staff changes was not acceptable. Also the legal charges too much as it should have been dealt with fast track system to avoid such delays and still not finalised yet.

Dear Mr Ali, RTA cases are run through our specialist team on a 'No Win No Fee' basis. Complexity and an unwillingness by the defendant to accept liability are two of the factors that impact on how quickly we were able to settle your claim. I understand your case is now settled.

Have been given these at court as duty solicitor and the lady has never listened to me from day 1 and after reading these reviews I very angry and now know why she has not listened, she's setting me up to fail and I'm just disgusted with them I've even sent a email with these reviews, I'm being sold down the river for something I never done totally gutted and will be doing my best to make sure she knows about this quite unbelievable the stories I've just read and I've always who must be barely out of law school representing me amd stressed me out so much I was ill enough amd what they have been paid for i dont know she has sone nothing to help my case in face sue has damaged my case 100,% and put things jn a statement that i never agreed to have why she don't Liston now i know . And I was falsely arrested and no mention of that I disgusted I really am .

Waste of time this firm, they're that inexperienced that can't differentiate what medical negligence and malpractice is. Even with a letter from the best the orthopedic specialists in country stating I was fit and well before leaving the care William Harvey Hospital in Ashford Kent on top of having medical evidence from numerous private hospital that indicates the hospital mentioned is lying. I have now had to have my bicep tendon cut down and relocated making me look like a freak at the age of 37 after living a life of playing football and being an international ambassador for England since I was 12 year's old and never experienced any issues that the NHS have then tried to tell me is genetic defect when it isn't because based on those facts I would of developed osteoarthritis and tendinitis of bicep and pectoral by age of 6 meaning I would never of become an international ambassador for England at the age of 12 or continued to do this where I now represent the national team and been linked to clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea all of which can confirm I never had any issues until I left the care of the William Harvey Hospital

If I could give no stars I would have, I would strongly recommend AGAINST using this firm for so many reasons but mainly due to the lack of care and professionalism. There were several occasions where I had to chase a response after several weeks of waiting (these were often lengthy periods of 4-5 weeks) and this happened a number of times. The response I often got was around how my solicitor didn't have time to review my response or they were really busy despite me being a paying client also. There was a number of incidents that alerted me I was not being afforded the same duty of care as other clients on their books for reasons that was made clear at the early stages of my case where the tonality and reference to Beyonce in an email which actually had no relevance to my previous email which was a direct question to my solicitor. When I complained about this once I was fed up with the whole experience I was told that because my direct response to the email didn't appear to show that I was upset my feelings were as good as invalid. A piece of advice when people experience mirco aggression we go to our safe space which is our friends & family. So while you saw my professional response to a mirco aggression (we have often been taught to deal with these incidents in this way to avoid gaslighting) I have attached the conversation that occurred within my safe space. Just because I chose to remain professional doesn't mean my experience should be trivialised. If you are a person of color don't put yourself through it and don't be fooled by the presentism on their website....the gas lighting in the response to my complaint just summed what this firm really stand for and its NOT for their clients ESPECIALLY those of colour.

Extremely unprofessional, they outline a process to collect your data and information then they give you a defined process that requires a large upfront payment of money. An incredible way for law firm TO handle itself. No integrity or transparency! Ever heard of GDPR ?

I can not NOT recommend this firm highly enough. They work with the police and are self motivated and utterly dishonest. the reason they are given awards is because it is called rewards for failure. in 2013, Mr Monks failed to turn up court but was happy to take the legal aid. I am sure they help certain people if you are of a certain demographic background. Last year they signed legal papers for a PI matter and suddenly withdrew for no reason, after their department asked me repeatedly for signatures etc which caused me great concern. They then withdrew and never confirmed that they had destroyed that. I would not use them if they were the last firm on the planet. they dont deserve to have legal aid.
