“Beautiful house home from home exceptionally clean beautifully decorated throughout everything you need for a comfortable relaxing stay. Saltburn a beautiful place to visit would definitely visit again. And dog friendly bonus”

“The property was fantastic and no complaints at all, well only that 1 of the bedrooms had a velux window with no blind so the kids woke up v.early with dawn. Host & Stay as an organisation were fine...initially a few issues to get the invoice corrected and communications to complete the booking process didn't seem particularly efficient, but the staff themselves were nice and were trying to help get things sorted. As others also say, the £10 admin fee taken for the accidental damage deposit seems unreasonable when already paying a (refundable) £250 accidental damage deposit. The comms from Host & Stay in the run upto and during/immediately after the actual stay all seemed totally fine and straightforward and would consider using them for a future stay.”

“Excellent stay in Northumberland. The cottage was lovely, comfortable and clean. It had everything we could have needed. Host and stay were fantastic hosts Resolving a very small issue quickly.”

“We were a stag party of 11 staying in one of their apartments in Liverpool city centre. All of us were over the moon with the accommodation. It was clean, spacious, modern and right on the door step of all the main pubs, clubs and food places. Will definitely be using again.”

“Spent 5 days at the cottage with friends, we were lucky to get free parking not far away. Owners have made great use of the space. We had everything we needed, location is great for everything,good price. Would definitely go back.”

“We stayed at Castle View in Seahouses. The property was great, brilliant location, comfortable and well furnished. However, be aware that there is a mandatory damage waiver that is not listed on the booking details and has been raised in reviews before. You have to pay £25 non refundable waiver or £250 deposit of which £10 is retained as an admin fee. With regard to customer service about this issue, communication on booking.com was efficient. I would like to see the listing change to reflect the hidden costs before I recommend staying with Host and Stay again.”

“The accommodation was stunning and had everything you could ask for. But do be aware after you have booked (and most are non refundable) Host and Stay demand a £25 non refundable protection plan or a £250 deposit and a return of £240 when the property is checked for damage. It should have been included in the price so you knew from the beginning.”

“We stayed at Graham House in Osmotherley, North Yorkshire. It's a great property, four double bedrooms (at least 1 room with a bed that you can split into 2) all with ensuite bathrooms which was perfect for our stay as four walking friends. It would be equally suitable for families as there is a very large garden (with wild rabbits), kitchen and dining room and two lounges. It's well situated for anyone keen to get out onto the Moors and the small village has 3 pubs, a coffee shop, fish and chip shop and a village shop. There is parking at the front of the property which takes a bit of manoeuvring, it would perhaps be easier to use the shared drive to park at the back in front of the garage. There are some areas that we have fed back to Host and Stay on which will hopefully address some minor issues, but overall we had a great time and loved the house.”

“We stayed at poppy cottage recently and I must say the photo's on site do not do it justice. Its was a lovely place with everything you needed. On entering the property it was lovely and warm when we walked into the sitting room what a lovely view out of the window. On opening the front door to a lovely balcony all we could hear was the birds and the river running by .absolute bliss! Would definitely return hopefully in the summer when we will be able to take more advantage of the balcony as it was mid March we went and the weather wasn't the best.”

“The house is big, well equipped and in a great spot, plus there is parking. However we were very disappointed that the house absolutely STINKS of dogs. We had to go out and buy air freshener, the stench was really overwhelming and disgusting. Also, it wasn’t the cleanest, there was dog hair everywhere as well as long hairs in the bathrooms. Finally the beds are really uncomfortable, they need upgrading with better mattresses. I could put up with the beds and human hairs, but the dog smell was foul.”
