“I have just received a navy fringed pashmina coat that I was very much looking forward to receiving. After delays, and not too great on the admin side of things. I like it but not over the moon on the quality. What has shocked me is that it is made in India! I naively thought that House Of Bruar products were Scottish authentic. This isn't made clear on the details when purchasing. Disappointing. Albeit to say I will probably keep.”
“I had to return an item. Customer service had advised the wrong size. I phoned for a return code and the man was awful. Very rude and condescending. I had to pay a return postage and wait 2 weeks for a refund. I did get a full refund! I won't be shopping with them in future. I was satisfied with a pair of Chelsea boots I purchased .”
“So am u being unreasonable. I bought nearly a 1000 pounds of gear off briar 6 years ago. Most of it has worn well .except a jacket of a suite I bought at the same time and have worn 5 times and the lining has come apart in the jacket and the pocket.. they are saying its to long since I bought it .I'm saying I've worn it for less than 12 hours total.”
“Very disappointed with this company. They constantly send me brochures most of which end in the bin. This is because once in the past I bought something from them online. I wasn't asked at the time whether I wanted to receive their brochure. However, recently I did purchase some items from them online. The purchasing process was easy and they arrived within a week of ordering. Regrettably two items had to be returned because they didn't fit. The refund procedure was terribly slow with no communication and the only way I received my refund was chasing them and miraculously the refund was processed straight away. I also had cause to return an item that was faulty. It took two weeks to receive my refund after having numerous conversations, sending them photos of the faults and eventually receiving a free return label to send the item back. Even them it took a further week for them to deign to give me a refund. Clearly they mistrusted my complaint about the item and had to have a conference between them to decide whether I should receive a refund. It is extremely unlikely that I shall order from them again.”
