“Tried to erect the tent, only to find that pieces are missing.
I called customer services, only to be told the items are in Germany and it’s 5-8 days for delivery. Well, my daughters party is in 2 days. Why would someone put a tent up 8 days before an event, but this is what I would have to do, to discover missing items and have them delivered in time. This is a joke.
Your suggestion was to make the tent smaller, but the missing items would mean a tent of 6m x 8m, not 6m x 12m like a paid for.
Why can’t you ship in 24/48 hours, this can be done, even from Germany, it’s two small pieces.

Any Problem, is your problem. The current design is not per drawing and arguably there is a very real risk to life due to unsecured installation. Unsecure installation leaves structure rigid and solid, a kite by any reasonable description. Be aware and protect yourself, neighbors and friends. AVOID. PS Engineering report for correctly installed canopy - Company no longer exists.”

“I ordered a marquee in 2024 for a specific event and it was firstly delivered very late. Then upon setting it up, we'd discovered half of the delivery was missing. I called again and they could only send the missing parts after the event.
This year we got it out to use it again and one of the boxes is half empty and missing 6 of the internal components.
I called the company and they really couldn't care less.
They're cheap for a reason. Avoid at all costs.”

The material quality is also subpar — there are multiple tears in the fabric after minimal use. Definitely not the durability I was expecting for the price. “Having bought a gazebo we found it impossible to fit both the sides and roof concurrently due to the Velcro positions.
The frame also rubbed a small hole in the roof in gentle wind.
On contacting the company we have now exchanged over 10 e mails over a protected period of 7 weeks and we are no walker’s closer to resolution.
Frustrated and poorer, it seems they have no intention to resolve these issues.”

“I placed an order for two tents in February and received the consignment in five packages shortly afterwards. All of the packages were banded and taped up securely, so having purchased from Toolport previously I trusted that there would be no issues. On 13th June, I took the packages to the local rugby club, where I was to put them up the following day. When I opened the packages, it was immediately apparent that key parts were missing. 12 four way joints, integral to the structure of the 6x4 tent, 8 feet for the legs and 8 extension poles. Add to that, the roof supplied was for a 6x12 tent! Toolport not interested, as I hadn't had everything out of a banded and taped box in February to check it was all there. Yes, I appreciate this is in their terms and conditions, but they were not interested in the fact that such an error had been made and not even interested at looking into the problem. They don't even want back the oversized parts they sent me. Never again Toolport, never again, your quality control is shameful !!”

Houseoftents selling cheap products made in China, but the impression they give, is that the tents made in Germany. Refused refund and lied through their teeth. Never use this company!!! As they are based in Germany you can’t even take them to small claims court in UK. We also tried using Paypal for help, but even they refused to help us.”
