BEEARE!! if I could give Deliveroo no stars I would! My account was set up with Apple Pay so no password and my account was hacked, personal info like phone number and address changed and an order placed using the account for a delivery in derby while I was 70 miles away (the app knows where you are when you order) I queried this with the helpline and they said there was no suspicious activity on the account. I would steer clear of the company there are plenty of other food deliverers, their app/system is clearly not secure!

I'm giving a star because I can't give ZERO. I've already requested orders several times in this terrible app, and because they don't have a good restaurant/delivery/customer conferencing system, I've had several problems with orders not received, damaged orders, orders different from those I requested, there were several! Most of the time, they don't solve the problem in the chat, so they ask to get in touch by email, and then start an extensive exchange of emails to confirm order number, restaurant name and various other information to simply not repay my loss. Worst application I ever had the displeasure of having registered.

Drivers just don't care to deliver the food. 2 incidents lately. One driver was at the wrong address, I was outside to show them the correct entrance but he didn't move at all and I had to walk down to the street all the way to get my items. The other driver tonight never appeared and I ended up looking for him through customer service and then I was looking for him in the street. Customer service was like 'apologise because you complained for not getting your order'.

Hands down THEE worst company I’ve EVER dealt with via its DISGRACEFUL “customer service” I urge anyone and everyone NEVER to use this rubbish Company and hopefully they’ll go bust, I realise people would lose their jobs…they’d be better off too! It’s THAT bad a company! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Tried to place an order with a restaurant on there, and was informed that my card needed to be authorised. This is despite the fact that the said card has no such issue on prominent rival sites to Deliveroo. Not good enough.

They took my money, delivered nothing and refuse to refund!!!! I ordered (first time) on 30 Sept 2021 when it failed to arrive I called the restaurant who said they’d cancelled it as my property was too far away for them. They said I would not be charged. Deliveroo APP however still said it was on its way. I contacted Deliveroo “customer care” a few days later as I received nothing and the charge was still pending on my credit card. On 4th October they said: “It may take a few days for the payment to disappear from your account statement, but don't worry – we won't take any money for this order. - Deliveroo Customer Care” However they subsequently took the payment.. When I contacted them again they said they were unable to refund despite me sending them their own confirmation that I would not be charged! I asked for an explanation why and details of their formal complaints procedure neither of which have been forthcoming at time of writing. Then just to rub salt in I checked the order on the APP today and it says delivered (not true)….! Taking payment while not providing the agreed goods I believe is known as fraud. I can only imagine a business would get away with such practice where the amounts involved are individually small. Of course where they are not an isolated instance, then the amounts add up which, I suppose, is how class actions start in some countries. The Consumer Rights Act UK is meant to protect against unscrupulous traders but who wants the hassle for the price of a takeaway….. It’s a pity I didn’t read the TrustPilot reviews before I used them….81% BAD of nearly 12,000 reviews says it all…..

My boyfriend ordered us some food on deliveroo as I have had a particularly difficult week. He has deliveroo plus and I have to say the service was shocking! The food arrived over 40 minutes later than the ETA (which was already over an hour wait). Then when the food arrived, it was stone cold, soggy and chewy. When we went back onto our order and complained about the food being cold they said that a refund would be processed. When we got the email confirmation the refund was for considerably less than the order value which is just rude. He's now been on an online chat for ages and and all they are saying is that they can only issue a refund for 50% of the order but all of the food was inedible when it arrived. Absolutely awful! Do not recommend using Deliveroo as even if they do not care about the customers, just money!

Half the order missing from Morrison’s- I even changed the option at checkout that if an item is not in stock then to cancel whole order because they do this kinda thing a lot. But no they delivered anyway with half the order missing and they won’t refund. I’m in shock! Thieves! That’s what Deliveroo/Morrison’s are

I was ordering with deliveroo always, but im disappointed to receive a wrong order. I couldnt take the food that wasnt mine,im sure someone else is waiting for this. It caused me lot of inconvenience especially waiting for the order to come. I just did a refund and i was informed that it will take 5 days. Can u imagine a customer had the inconvenience and still wait for 5 days to vet the money back. I wouldnt be ordering with deliveroo again

I was a frequent customer until now! Absolutely rubbish service. Many times I’ve received cold food, which you get only half price refund, as if you would want to eat it cold. And today they topped it off by forgetting an item, when I called they didn’t want to redeliver nor did they try to fix the inconvenience caused. So no more Deliveroo!!

First time ordering in the app , my food came after 1/30 hours and it was damaged and items missing . After speaking with customers service I was advised to wait 48hours after 48 hours has passed no email no nothing , then when I phone then back they said no refund or further assistance imagine paying for something you haven't ordered or half of the food is damage and the other half missing , when spoken to the management team they was utterly ridiculous , rude and disrespectful the company literally went against the rules and regulations disgusting service... Might aswell delete those kind of apps

Shocking service, or lack of, from Deliveroo. Ordered at 6:20pm, scheduled delivery at 6:50pm. Time was moved again and again until it said 7:55pm. At 8:05pm I received a call from someone who didn't speak English. He mumbled something into the phone then hung up. Seconds later Deliveroo app said my food had been delivered, not to my house! If Deliveroo can't even train their drivers to ring a doorbell or read a map then they aren't worth using. Won't be going there again.

The first time my order took 1 hour 30 minutes to arrive after being told it would 45 minutes. Today after waiting 1 hour 10 minutes for a 45 minutes order it was cancelled. My son is at home unwell and is unable to move about easily to stand for more than a few minutes. the food was ordered for his dinner so he could take his medication. Appalling.

I don't understand how the drivers work as they tend to not bring the order to you after waiting 1 hour. Of course the customer service blamed on corona virus but I don't see the connection. The food was not even left in front of the building. Don't use it as drivers deliver the food to any address without calling or checking so I had to wait another hour for another order and the customer service said that is not guaranteed again if the food will be handed to me.

Order never showed up despite the website stating it was delivered and that the driver had tried to contact me (I had no missed calls or messages). When I tried to flag this the site repeatedly stated its delivery help was not working and when I finally got an agent all they offered were apologies and insisted that the food must have been left somewhere. The guy in my apartment reception said no one had come. Won't be using the service again.

We ordered food and alcohol it came, it didn’t state anywhere that you need to show ID when you collect your food from the driver. Driver showed up, we didn’t have ID, told him to wait 2 mins while I get it. What did he do?? DRIVE OFF WITH MY FOOD IN HIS CAR AND NO REFUND!!!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡😡DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES!!!!!

The rating should include 0 star. I would like to give a 0 or negative rating. Yesterday, 21 Sep 2021 was one of important chinese festival, Mid-autumn Festival. This year I came to Bristol and hence could not had festival with my family. As still staying in hotel, I decided to order food from Deliveroo to have a great festival time. As usual (I've order food through Deliveroo several times) I place the order and wait. It's really a great festival that the chinese restaurant needed double time to prepare. I received a call from the rider that he's on the way. I told him that I had already stand outside the hotel. 20 minutes past still no show. Back to the room I found from my Mac book that the status was "Delivered. As nobody answer, put the food in front of the room" What? After a few steps, I got the cs phone no. No doubt, the rider went to a wrong place. Of course I called. What they could do was to refund the money. They even didn't think what to do so that I could have things to eat. What I needed at that time not money refund but food to have my festival. If they could order the things for me again and delivered to me in 30 minutes. Everything would change. I had food to celebrate the festival, no need to refund money. I would not be so angry. But they did nothing. Only apologise (must) and refund. In the survey they sent to me afterwards (as I called the cs), I honestly said that the CS could not help. Money can be refunded but Festival cannot be returned.
