The service wasn’t provided. The delivery wasn’t made (not even attempted). Now they will not issue me a refund.

I was thoroughly disappointed in deliveroo tonight. Not only did the food never turn up, I also spent HOURS sorting out a refund, and they didn't even consider to offer me a voucher despite it being their fault. What a lousy service. I will NOT be recommending this to my friends and colleagues.

Deliveroo can be useful to use but there have been so many issues where there just haven’t been enough drivers and my food has been massively delayed. I’ve been waiting over an hour for food and the app is telling me my food isn’t ready. I’ve called the restaurant and they’ve said the food *is* ready but there’s no one to collect it. So now I’m to pay for food that’s an hour late and is soggy and not fresh to eat? No thanks.

I gave 1 star because is not possible rate zero. ***********************be careful********************* There are enough negative comments already about how is awful the deliveroo service and how many of their riders are scammers. What many people ignore is how dangerous is being their customer. One morning I woke up and I found out that overnight my Deliveroo profile had been hacked. Someone changed the address and the phone number and just had a meal with my money. So, I got the bank account charged for £73 and guess what? I wrote hundreds of emails to Deliveroo Customer Support and they just did not reply at all to all my claims and complaints. Yes, You understood correctly. They don't give a ..... to their customers and you lose your money.

I’ve used many food delivery apps throughout the world. It’s not so uncommon to run into delivery communication problems but I’m absolutely appalled by the horrible service of the driver and then the follow up by “customer service” was even worse. I left a number in the delivery instructions, driver never called. I contacted the number that customer service provided, it was out of order. I contacted customer support through chat. The driver was still at the house but customer service couldn’t get ahold of him. In fact they couldn’t get ahold of him for the 40 minutes we were chatting. However I was expected to get in touch with him in the 4 min window he was at the door. And as the customer service even admitted, he was supposed to leave the food at the door. And of course didn’t, but marked the food “delivered”. No refund, no credits given, no food. With so many other options in London, DO NOT USE DELIVEROO!

Food was Luke warm when arrived. Deliveroo put in wrong address and I complained via phone to customer service, first man was abrupt and hung up, woman was OK but they do not understand the problem. Customer service is appauling. Poor driver said that deliveroo don't care. I would Avoid if I was u. Not recommended

I was told by the restaurant on the phone that my order was cancelled. I placed a different order at a different restaurant. The customer service on the chat told me payment would be void, however, payment was taken and now Deliveroo refuses to return my money, even though I have a screenshot of them telling me that my payment was void. They don't care about stealing your money. Horrible service.

Half my order was missing. Called the restaurant immediately who promised a refund. A bit sour solution, but ok. No refund came. Deliveroo refusing to refund me hiding behind a 48 hr limit on complaints. Basically stolen my money.

I ordered from my local Schnitz store, who are usually on their game, however today had a lapse in judgement. I asked for the product to be in wrap form, however when the delivery arrived it was indeed a burger instead. Asking for help on the order was as simple as tapping a button, explained the situation, to which they offered a credit, refund or redelivery! I was in shock, that's amazing, I had the right order re-delivered to me in 30 mins or less. Loyal customer here.

I ordered pizza for 10.48 pounds, they used my card for someone else and I paid lunch for "someone" 16.8 plus . That means they can use my card for anyone without control! Anyway, I paid one pizza 10.48+16.8 pounds. Deliveroo refuse refund.

Absolutely rubbish…. Flat cold burgers, no refund 1 hour 15 mins from collection to delivery and then expected them to be warm! No freezing cold! Terrible customer service- no refund!

Huge delay in delivering food because the drivers pick orders and set out to deliver to multiple locations far away from each other. As a result if you are unlucky not to be first then you get cold food. This is not an issue with the restaurants but with Deliveroo and their drivers. Plus there is no way to chat to someone in the meantime. You are just stuck with the cold food.

I wish there was a zero star option for this. PLEASE do not use this app, they do not come to your door EVER! Most of the time I have to go out and find them, one time a driver's excuse was he is afraid of flats ? We are paying a delivery fee! But this recent event takes it to a whole different level! The usual happened and my dad went to find him, my dad didn't realise it had been paid so he paid again so I basically paid nearly 40 euro for 2 burgers and 1 portion of chips and a drink that I didn't even get or refunded. The so called 'customer care" is more customer don't bother because they do not help at all. I called straight away asked them about the missing drink and the missing 20 euro and their response was it's my fault because they don't take cash? Emm hello your driver broke that rule and took money! When I pointed this contradiction out to them their excuse than was we only give refund if it was your first order? I sent a letter to their head office but nobody would sign for it and their phone number is disconnected. Something very dogy and maybe even dangerous about this app. Happy to provide anyone with proof you wouldn't believe the stupidness that comes out of them to avoid having to refund. Should be shut down

Deliveroo have recently taken to excessive greed and are doubling up on their orders. So once your food is picked up, they will be delivering elsewhere 1st, meaning that 90% of the time, your food will arrive stone cold and ruined. Their customer service will then tell you that you are not eligible for a discount, but provide you with NO further information, even when directly requested. Just Eat and Uber eats provide a much better level of service, both from a delivery, and also customer service point of view. Charlatans of the very highest order!! Avoid!! Selection is better on just eat and Uber eats anyway!! If you want to eat hot food, order from literally ANYWHERE else. This is from a customer that stupidly actually paid for deliveroo plus, it is very much cancelled now!!
